I have also tried swabbing them with cotton balls.

I really need a way to remove the layers of dust. Anything help will be much

Paypal now shows a big ugly banner, saying they will automatically switch from
"Paypal shipping" to "netParcel shipping" on June 1.

Currently, when we ship small orders to the US, we use the regular Canada Post
"small packet" service, which (for under 100gr) would cost around CAD 8.50.

We hooked up our Canada Post account to netParcel, and tried to ship a small
order to the US. The "small packet" service is no longer available, the cheapest
option would be UPS Standard 4 days for just over CAD 14 (so a CAD 6 raise in
shipping cost).

Am I missing something here? Or will we need to raise our shipping rates?

Niek.

You could use Canada Post's website I suppose...

Tyson.

Have you tried any international shipments yet Niek?

We currently only ship domestically and to the US. But I can do a quote request
in netParcel tomorrow if you like.

As for the missing US "small packet" - it still shows up in SnapShip (for now?).

Niek.

Shipstation doesn't interact with BrickLink - you'll have to update the
tracking # manually. The best way to do this is to edit the order to put in the
tracking number (use the "Edit Order" link at the bottom of the order detail
page), then use a macro in your drive thru template.

I thought it had to be done manually.

What I do:

I activated the tracking number field on the orders received page where I copy/paste
the tracking # from PayPal. I also used the macro tag in the drive through notice,
so that it automatically populates the number into the message sent to the buyer.

also ordered were either incorrect or damaged. Shouldn't the seller list
a item as incomplete if its missing parts? what constitutes a complete set? I'm
fairly new to brick link but I would assume that complete meant the set its self
is fully intact. The worst of it is that when I tried to reach out to the seller
I find he has shut down his store conveniently the day my order arrived apparently
going on "vacation" for the month. Is he allowed to do claim a set is complete
when its missing several important parts along side sending me unspecified as
damaged parts? if it isn't how can I report this behavior I cant find any
option to do so anywhere?

the image uploaded is my supposedly complete Vahki set.

so slight update. I got in contact with him and we started talking but he was
very dismissive and denying of any mistake asking if I was confused if I had
the "right store/set" then he got the set number completely wrong when he was
talking about how he inventoried set almost as if he was making stuff up on the
spot. I pointed out that he had got the set number wrong he just seemingly completely
stop responding. I don't know where to go to from here. I'm not even
all that angry any more just dissapointed.

  Hello All,

It's with a heavy heart that I am forced to leave you all for a while. No
idea in the foreseeable future when I will back. Know I will miss this place,

If you aren't there already, many of you will be one day. I am in pretty
intense elder care mode. I have been for 10+ years, but with age comes the increasing
need for intervention in all things. My mother just turned 94, amazing. She still
lives alone in our family home and I want to keep it that way until I/she can't.
It is a pretty exhausting time and emotionally intensive job. What was 1 day
a week is now 4, and constantly on call for problems. The home infrastructure
is also crumbling - so scrambling for contractors for many issues - and we all
know the pain that can be.

One day, I will have time again and hoping I still have the stamina/knowledge
to make a presence once more.

all the best, Judith

Good luck to you. I know the demands of caring for others. I had my mentality
and physically handicapped brother-in-law. My time was no longer my time. He
was a handful and died when Covid just started. He was one of the reason I sold
my little Lego collection. It was worth it.
Your mother is very lucky she has a good child. You will be proud of what you
are doing. Caring for another person (or a cat) is what fuels one’s soul and

As far as I know, shipstation has nothing to do with bricklink. You will have
to add the number manually. You probably have the default page set with some
old number.

might have come that way)

Also, I have a small box with a decent quantity of the parts to 42030, including
the wheels/tires and bucket, but no power functions (see items above).
I would happily trade this lot for credit. Just ask for photos.

I recently found 3 50 gallon totes of Bionicles, and have several completes yearly
sets and prices were simple to find. Anyone know what complete Karzahni with

need for intervention in all things.

What you're doing for your mother is supremely difficult in ways beyond simple
exhaustion or the disruption of personal needs and desires. Some of these difficulties
will only become apparent after she's left you, Judith. Psychologically taxing
caring for another as they fadeaway, much more so for a parent or child.

I’m eager to learn what you might learn during with this BL-hiatus:
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1161196 Please share when it's time.

… But my hope is that you’ll make the effort to stay involved in what’s been
in a sense, your forum of the last 15 years. It can be a good place to find a
little solace

The subject of caring for me when it’s my time, came up for the first time between
my kids and I, some time ago. Of course, I tried to make light of the fact that
dad's not gonna be around forever, by saying something like “no biggie, just
find a decent raisin ranch to stick me in” Neither my son nor daughter appreciated
the humor at all. In fact, my daughter upset and with a stern voice, declared
“You’re living with us, dad!" Subject dropped

After spending years sheltering them, parents never want to see their children
burdened, even when grown. To then perceive oneself to be that burden… very difficult.

Thanks Stuart - her timeline will determine all. Have to say, when you have 3
other siblings who do nothing, it's a bitter pill to give up your life. But
I could never let her down, I'm all she has now.

You are very strong and caring to do this! It must be very hard when there are
those who could help but won't.

Take care and be well,

It'd be very convenient to build seeing 1mm sized bricks, yes
Silly, sorry to say.

Note you may try something like VNC/TightVNC... with a deceptive result.

Niek.

Yikes.

The 4904 mold was retired in 1992 and even the catalog photo for this part in Medium Green is of the newer mold. No evidence online exists to suggest that a Medium Green 4904 exists. A photo will follow.

* Change 2 Part {Green to Bright Green} 4895 Duplo, Furniture Bed 3 x 5 x 1 2/3

Comments from Submitter:
This set should have an inventory similar to 3620 from the same year. It looks like these Dacta sets are combinations or scaled-up versions of other sets released around the same time. An inventory change request from 2014 was submitted to change Green parts to Bright Green and Orange to Medium Orange. https://www.bricklink.com/messageThread.asp?ID=170977

Many of these 'Orange' parts either don't exist or were released in later years, with Item IDs that are too low to be from 2002.

The Purple flower is without a doubt Dark Pink. The old DUPLO coffee pot mold was retired in the 1990s and doesn't have a photo in Bright Green. It does not exist. The new mold exists in set 3620 from the same year, if that's any more reason to change this one.

9 sets with a 'Copper' Sword to go.

I have ordered 8813-1. Just waiting for it to get here from a faraway place
called Nederlands.

The only challenges now are the Ravensburger sets. The catalog photo is gone,
though. I believe the admins have also reached the conclusion that a Copper sword
doesn't really exist.

We removed the catalog image because it was a render and catalog entries having
no images persuades sellers to submit images that are missing. Maybe we will
get a copper image, maybe not. We shall see, but we have not yet made a conclusion.

Enable an invoice Method option as well (that requires you to manually insert
shipping charges). If the minifigures are newer, they may not have their weights/dimensions
added to the catalog yet, and that causes problems with instant checkout.

You can't here. Bricklink (BL) is only for genuine lego parts and prints.
However, there are people who will do custom prints. You just have to find them.

Sounds like a plan! Although you said you didn't have a date it would be
ready by I'm curious if there is a date range like 1 month, 6 months, 1 year,
etc.

This isn't true. Many companies, Lego for instance, decide who can sell their

We hooked up our Canada Post account to netParcel, and tried to ship a small

option would be UPS Standard 4 days for just over CAD 14 (so a CAD 6 raise in
shipping cost).

Am I missing something here? Or will we need to raise our shipping rates?

You could use Canada Post's website I suppose...

Have you tried any international shipments yet Niek?

Comments from Submitter:
Part 6904 in Light Orange has ElementID 4120305. This part in Medium Orange has ID 4153427, suggesting that it was made a few years after 1998. A photo of a listing will follow this change request. I believe this should be the final part moved to the Light Orange color.

I have been looking for one of these for a while.

This set should be complete and accurate now. Some parts just need photographs.

Refund the payment and request payment through PayPal Onsite.

Wouldn't it be more convenient to credit the buyer for the amount already

Why should I pay for my Brick Link fees when you can not help me with a problem
I been asking about.

Don't play this game; you'd be (badly) surprised.

  This order with a NPB
I can not upload the items back in my store because of the status of complete.
Please help me out after ten years of no problems in my store and a simple question
of help is not being addressed.
Also I am being charged fees on this order when I put in a Non-paying buyer

Just start reading Help - that would help.

I don't think that would work if orders are already paid with PayPal.
No seller protection if you ship to another address.

Many don't care for this.
PayPal is 99% for the buyer anyway...

I think no one moves all of a sudden after placing orders??

It does happen (got it a couple of times); especially because people think it'd
change their shipping address, or send the seller a notification, or such - but
no.

I have somehow closed to Building Pallet on Stud.io 2.0 and I don't know
how to get it back. I know you can buy going to View, but it covers the whole
screen and I cant minimise it.

You need to complete the NPB process then your fees are refunded.

But it's been around for sometime, purportedly. Congrats on your new brick

Niek.

I guess they require a tracking # from now on...

With the new mold of 3660 we might need to update this part title.

It’s almost as complicated as 3001

There’s:
— round pin vs. flat pin
— thin walls vs. thick walls
— studs with small hole vs. studs with big hole vs. studs with stopper ring

I don’t have many 3660old but mine have thick walls (obviously) and big hole
in the studs… but the holes are not big enough for a bar.

My old 3660 are either:
— thick walls & studs with small hole.
— thin walls & studs with big hole (a bar fits in some but not all).

And my new 3660 have thin walls and stopper rings.

I don’t think I’ve seen any of the new ones with a round pin yet.

Also the alternate image in that shows 2 blue pieces, it is for 3660 vs 3660old?
That might need to be labeled.

Part No: 3660 Name: Slope, Inverted 45 2 x 2 with Flat Bottom Pin
*
3660 Slope, Inverted 45 2 x 2 with Flat Bottom Pin
Parts: Slope, Inverted

These 3660 should be split in 3 variants imo, before that new one is added.
1. bar doesn't fit
2. bar fits
3. bar fits partly

people want to know?!

Bar fitting seems not a split reason

If the order has Sales Tax or VAT it needs to be paid with PayPal onsite. You
would need to refund the payment and instruct your buyer to pay the orde with
the Pay button on Bricklink.

Than you would be able to complete it.

Yes - but to the OP - remember that changing the address here won't change
not shipped current Placed Orders addresses.
And the seller isn't notified of anything.

In other words, if you recently placed an order and it's not shipped, it'll

How good is Pirate Ship for doing labels, price compared to PayPal shipping,
and can you get insurance to cover first class international packages. I have
been using PayPal for years now and they moved me to Shipstation of which I'm
not a fan of but can tolerate. My 3rd party insurance was always done with Shipsurance
in the past and then single packages weren't possible so I went to InsurePost...now
they are sending you to Shipsaver which completely sucks. Just wanting simple
shipping and simple international coverage that I can offer if need be for reasonable
pricing.

Please chime in...what do you all use and pay for??

Thanks

What's the process of entering addresses to ship to? With paypal, it has
all the purchases right there to select from, no entering addresses or anything.

PayPal/ShipStation has some limitations. For example, as far as I am aware, there
is nowhere to input BrickLink's IOSS number when printing a label, so if
you are shipping to a country that has VAT, then you need to use a different
shipping service anyway.

Are you saying Pirate Ship is entirely manual when it comes to addresses?

Help please. I moved house three months ago and changed address on Bricklink
Accounts page. This shows my new address. On my sellers/order page my address
is still showing as my previous one. I have tried all options, but still unable
to see how to change it.Thanks for any advice.

Sets: Scala

* Change 1 Part {Medium Orange to Light Orange} 6904 Scala Wall, Diamond Shaped Window 8 x 2 x 8

Is there an option to add fees inside of PayPal?
Or just including them in the shipping costs?

A manual PP invoice consists of line items of whatever your imagination can dream
up. In this case, you can create one with a single line item "Shipping cost for
BL #xxxxxxxx", and if you like you can add a line item for "Fees" and one for
"Emotional damage". There are no restrictions, it is not tied to the original
transaction in any way.

So I guess it's not worth listing this for sale then if it's missing

That might need to be labeled.

following reason:

"We noticed that you're selling popular branded goods and/or copyrighted
content in your store. We're writing to request documentation that you're
authorized to sell these products. Unfortunately, we need to pause payouts to
your bank account until we can verify this".

Reply to that email with links to BrickLink and that it is owned by LEGO, tell
them that there is no such certificate for selling Lego and also send proof of
how you purchased some Lego items. Maybe it takes a few emails and a couple of
people but they will finally accept and close the case. I suppose this is an
automated method to prevent scams online.

I can confirm this is the best way to proceed, as it happened to me a few years
ago and the above "proof" was sufficient, explaining what BrickLink is and pointing
out the transactional platform is not owned by me, but is a marketplace. Since
it's owned by Lego, there shouldn't be any problem.

But:
1. I’ve 50x bb0076, without any other possible source.  I put the 2 more as Extra because 48x is enough (almost too many) for the build.
2. I don’t have any Red 3660old and all my Red 3660 are accounted for if I include this set.

There does not seems to be a box to select all items, in any screen from the

In Technical Issues, MOC_base writes:
  Hi BrickLink devs,
I'd like to report a pretty annoying one.

Option under
Inventory - Update My Inventory - Increase/Decrease my cost
does effect the price of the items in the selected category,
instead of the value of "my cost" fields, as opposed to its label.

It is not only a frustrating bug, also a pretty huge risk, because you can unwillingly
update the price (even regarding your whole inventory), by a click of a button
- as it has just happened to me...

Here are the possible outcomes after an incident:
- If you would not have noticed this issue in time, you would've waited for
your "never-coming" orders, if you - let's say - would have wanted to increase
the value of "my cost" by 50%, and ended up adding 50% on the top of the items'
recent price in the given category. Similarly, you would've lost a lot of
money, if you ended up decreasing the items' recent price in the given category
and would've received orders in the meantime.
- If you wouldn't have had a backup, good luck reverting this change, if
you have a bigger store and/or high traffic; and - of course - if you wouldn't
have noticed this quickly.
- If you would've had a fresh backup, probably still lost a lot of time and
therefore money; not to mention the headache of a full re-import.

If this option supposed to change the price, instead of "My Cost", please
change its label, and create a new update option, dedicated to the "My Cost"
fields.

Hope this helps, makes sense, and can be fixed very-very soon.

Thanks

This just got fixed:

Fixed inventory increase/decrease My Cost feature modifying price instead of
cost
Fixed inventory increase/decrease My Cost feature not modifying all categories

I immediately cancelled Stripe as a store payment option, have refunded the buyer

any such information, but just wondering how other sellers have dealt with this
in the past?

Thanks for any insight!

Is there a setting that I cannot find to give a possibly more normal calculation
of the percentage off for a whole category you see in the inventory section of
a store?

Currently it reports the average percentage off of each lot, irrespective of
price and number of items in the lot. Is it possible to flick a setting somewhere
and get it to report the value of (total original - total current) / total original
x 100% ?

For example,

2 items in one lot at £25, with 20% off.
1 item in another lot at £1.
1 item in another lot at £1.

That inventory price was £52, and is now £42.

I would say that whole category has 19.2% off (or 19% if rounding). Whereas BL
reports it as just 7% off using (20%+0%+0%)/3. The percentage is a bit misleading
especially if you have lots of low value, small qty lots not on sale.

I don't know if BrickLink supports this natively, but this is fairly easy
to do using Excel.

Yeah, each one is fairly easy to do in my head too, but that means doing them
one by one with no way to quickly scan down that column to see if I've made
a serious error after automating a sale price.

Plus it is one of those things I think I'd prefer not to see at all rather
than calculated in a weird way.

On BrickStock you can import your store with two clicks and sort by the Sale
column to make a quick check.

What I do and is sufficient for me:

- open brickstock/brickstore
- add the set you are after
- upload the items to a new wanted list in BrickLink

This gives you the opportunity to handle stickered and extra parts how you want
it plus the alternates as well.

If there's a function that does this on the site, please let me know.

I have this Bionicle Container/Can But I can't figure out the part or set
number. I assume it's some supplemental set. There are several masks printed
all around with corrosponding "Can Codes"

Can anyone help me identfy this?

68 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 1998
Sets: Scala

* Change 1 Part {Medium Orange to Light Orange} 6904 Scala Wall, Diamond Shaped Window 8 x 2 x 8

Comments from Submitter:
Part 6904 in Light Orange has ElementID 4120305. This part in Medium Orange has ID 4153427, suggesting that it was made a few years after 1998. A photo of a listing will follow this change request. I believe this should be the final part moved to the Light Orange color.

It is slightly hard to spot, but the color of the wall matches the floor plate.

Proved by several internet images.
Instruction also show baseplate & Wall in same color.

* Add 4 Part 3660 Red Slope, Inverted 45 2 x 2 (Alternate) (match ID 1)

Not sure you’ll find it’s proven enough but here it is:

I’ve had this set since I was a child. It’s been played with, built, and unbuilt for years.

But:
1. I’ve 50x bb0076, without any other possible source.  I put the 2 more as Extra because 48x is enough (almost too many) for the build.
2. I don’t have any Red 3660old and all my Red 3660 are accounted for if I include this set.

Approved.

This set was in production 1976-1979.

Part No: 3660old Name: Slope, Inverted 45 2 x 2 with Solid Round Bottom Tube
*
3660old Slope, Inverted 45 2 x 2 with Solid Round Bottom Tube

was produced a very short time.

How does one add all the parts from one set, or multiple sets, to a wanted list?
There does not seems to be a box to select all items, in any screen from the
catalog pages. If I start with the wanted list, there is no choice to add all
the parts from a set. This seems a little odd, since I can pull all the parts
from a set in my inventory list.

What am I missing?

I immediately cancelled Stripe as a store payment option, have refunded the buyer
in full and arranged alternative payment. I have no intention of providing Stripe
any such information, but just wondering how other sellers have dealt with this
in the past?

Did the buyer agree to that before you refunding?

Hi,

Has anyone experience this issue before? I was checking my inventory today and
found a lot of my inventory's dimensions were switched around or changed.

For an example, 1.8 cm for X and 1.6cm for Y and 0.6cm for Z was my original
input. Now, it's 1.6cm X and 1.8cm for Y and 0.6cm for Z. Also, some of
items were being erased, one dimension were filled in before and now, it's
blank. And the other were completely off from what it used to be.

I had to go through all my lots to fixed it one by one. Hopefully, this won't
happen again, but, if it's a system glitch, Bricklink needs to know.

Thank you.

Coupleoldbricks

Ask this is the studio forum. They could help more than this forum. Sounds like
a great idea though.

It used to be easier, but it looks like PayPal and BL are more linked then they
used to be.

You will have to refund the buyer, and reinvoice them.

I don't follow. Why not simply send the buyer an invoice straight from Paypal
for the shipping cost?

Niek.

I was only thinking about keeping it within BL.
Is there an option to add fees inside of PayPal?
Or just including them in the shipping costs?

This seller will lose money on a $0.05 sale by using PayPal without a handling
charge.

For the OP. You only offer PayPal on-site, but state that you would like a $5
minimum to use PayPal due to fees. You should add a minimum buy limit if you
don’t want to have a handling fee.
