  Hello everyone,

I would like to refund a buyer because the shipping cost was a little less than
expected. As we're taxed on the final amount, I'd like this refund to
appear on my order so that I'm not taxed on an amount I didn't receive
in the end. I do see a "refund" column on the order page but I can't
enter anything in it and I can't change the shipping amount as the order
has already been paid. Do you know how to change this shipping amount so that
the final amount of my order is correct? Thank you in advance and happy holidays!

Nadia

Use the refund button on the order page.

me he has received it, the reason he filed it was because one part was the wrong
colour. I have no idea what to do.

That is technically a valid reason to start an NSS.
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=110

Reach out to your buyer to find out what part is wrong and either resend the
part, or offer them a refund for the part including shipping.
They shouldn’t be penalized for not getting everything they ordered.

After that is done the buyer should remove the NSS.

Of course they may have ordered the wrong part and if you sent what they ordered,
then they should remove the NSS.

If you had it set to keep in inventory after sold, it will show in your inventory
when it was listed and last sold.

  Hi there,

I am new to Bricklink.

Hi and welcome

  […]
One of the items I want is a particular set of instructions, which comes in two
parts/sets. I want both sets 1 and 2 of these.

When I use the auto-select button to find the shortest list of sellers to complete
my wanted list, it's pretty awesome apart from one issue. A seller has listed
the set 2 only of the instructions I want, and the auto select thinks that item
is now found. I'd like to exclude that particular (set 2 only) item as it's
not what I want and then resubmit auto select to create a shortlist of sellers
that sells the full wanted list.

IIUC, it’s the same item (instructions) but it appears in two sets?

If there’s only one entry in the catalogue, there’s no way to differentiate the
sets they came from but by comments added by the sellers.

It’s like saying you want one

Part No: 3001 Name: Brick 2 x 4
*
3001 Brick 2 x 4
Parts: Brick {White}
from a particular set and only from this set (not from other sets, not from PaB…).

If I understood wrong, please tell us exactly the items you want, it will be
clearer

I think he means that the instructions comes as two books.

For the OP, the only way to exclude that seller, is to stop list them. Then that
seller will not come up in any of your searches.

Also, search the forum for previous help on wanted lists. There is a lot of good
information on how to search and to buy (i.e. don't use Easy Buy).

Can I make two different invoices, one for domestic and one for international?

I see domestic buyers sometimes pay via PayPal as it's in our invoice. But
we force them (as in no other option) to use IBAN as it's free and common
in The Netherlands. PayPal always has additional costs and on small orders it
makes you might even lose money on it.

Regards,

Dennis

On this page https://www.bricklink.com/v2/mystore/payments.page make sure that
Domestic PayPal is not selected.

Under Offsite Payments, make sure that Domestic is selected for IBAN.

Add the Macro Tags as shown in the picture to the default invoice template. The
Invoice template can be found here: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/mystore/message_templates.page

PAYMENTTYPE-EQ:18 is IBAN
PAYMENTTYPE-EQ:27 is PayPal onsite
Further payment types can be found here https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=662

BL will use the Macro Tag to only show the payment instruction related to the
payment type.
Domestic buyers will then only have IBAN as a payment choice and International
will only have PayPal onsite.

You can test to see if these settings work, by clicking on the invoice button
on old orders. Just don't send the invoice again.

Let us know if it works for you.

I have all the parts needed in my store. It will take forever to type in each
part and manually edit the amount. I also need to do this to see the remark on
where each part is located. I think giving my brother a coupon that would cover
the entire order is best since it would take the parts out of inventory and tell
me where they are at. Does that mess up the stats?
Anyone know of the best way to do this?
Thanks for your help.

It shouldn’t mess up the stats as they are still being “sold” at the listed price,
but then covered by a coupon.
You will be dinged the BL seller fee for it though.

You can always look for the parts by looking at the wanted list in your store.
You will see the remarks that way, but will still need to remove them from your
store manually.

If the BL fee isn’t an issue, the easiest way would be to send the MOC studio
file, or wanted list XML file, to your brother so he can create a wanted list
and then buy from your store.

You can always change your dimensions in your inventory. Or change it to weight

I gave someone who paid a full refund through brick link. Can you relist all
the stuff all at once or do you have to manually do it.

First you have to cancel the order.
Refunding does not automatically cancel the order.

Follow the directions here:
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=74

Or enter the order number here:
https://www.bricklink.com/retractOrder.asp

If you initiate a cancellation, you have the option to have the parts in the
order uploaded back into your inventory, and to edit them at the same time. You
can choose to have them placed in regular inventory, or in stockroom. And you
will be cued to a choice about sending out notifications.

What I have found, and have had confirmed in previous posts, is that the default
is to put the parts back into Stockroom A.
This can be confirmed by going to your inventory, sort by Stockroom A and then
sorting by reverse quantity. This will show any parts with any quantity in the
stockroom.

No, it does not. The only status options that it shows are Pending, Processing,
Ready, and Packed. I’ve supplied the tracking information to the buyer so he
is aware that it is on its way. I double checked PayPal to see if I could find
something on there that I had missed but I didn’t see anything that looked off.

Looks like your buyer may have paid offsite, meaning the taxes aren’t going where
they’re supposed to.

One way to check for this is in PayPal.
Is there a line that says “partner fee”?
This would be the state tax that BrickLink collects on your behalf.
If that line is not there, your buyer paid offsite.

If that is the case, you will need to refund the buyer and have him pay via PayPal
on-site (through BrickLink).

It can also happen if a part is sold in the time between selecting the store

Any “errors” will be shown when you click fix.
Any parts with an error will be highlighted in a red box will have a line stating

Usually the error is “you can not buy more than is available”.

Hi,

BrickLink uses its own colour names.  LEGO’s Dark Stone Grey is called Dark Bluish
Gray by BrickLink.

And Studio, being made by BrickLink and linked to BrickLink’s catalogue, uses
BrickLink’s colours

See this website http://www.ryanhowerter.net/colors.php to see the match between
LEGO’s, BrickLink & Studio’s, and other AFOL’s colour numbers and names.

Staying within BL, there is a colour comparison at the bottom of this help page:

  Dear community,

I completed my detailed verification process on Sunday. One day later my store
was suspended and all my inventory was removed.

The reason was "multiple accounts" but I never had any other accounts
or stores. I just contacted the support for clarification. Maybe I could find
out more about this other account. The response didn't give any further details
like another account name. I also asked my neighbour who already is an experienced
seller. Maybe it could be an issue that two stores have their offices in the
same building? But we don't think this shouldn't be a problem. He also
had no clue and recommended me to ask the community. Any ideads how I could find
out more about the issue and how to solve it? What was my fault here? I don't
have any other account to use as stated. I'm confused and just hope to find
some answers. Thanks in advance.

Here is the original reason:
"You have multiple accounts. This is a violation of our Terms of Service.

In the “Eligibility” section of our Terms of Service it states:

"You are limited to one (1) account on this Site unless we have granted you
permission to have additional accounts, such permission being in our sole discretion.
You may access the Site with your account credentials. You may not transfer or
sell your account or account credentials to another party.”

Your wagnerio account has been revoked. You can still use your other account,
[insert other BrickLink account username]."

Is the other account name close to yours?
In the same county?

You can look up where the other account is here https://www.bricklink.com/members.asp?utm_content=subnav

If you haven’t already done so, go to the help desk and register there (it’s
separate from your normal BL account).

Create a trouble ticket and they will look into quickly.

Good luck

You accept payments in so many currencies. Are you sure you want this?
If a buyer pay you in for example Australian dollars, you receive the payment
in Australian dollars and it goes to your PayPal balance. When you want do exchange
it to American dollar, PayPal deducts 4% of it.

To add to this, if you don’t have those currencies enabled in PayPal, the buyer
will get an error.

11 euro plus 5 euro for charges, this is out of portion, I notice the shipping
inflated after bl calculate shipping automatically.

Does anyone have the same feeling? And any good suggestions? Thanks

There are some countries where it is very expensive for international shipping.
The destination will also determine the cost.

Yes, there are some sellers who pad the shipping costs, but not all.

BrickLink, as a company, does not calculate the shipping costs, that is up to
the seller to calculate.
The seller’s shipping terms may have a broad range of prices. With the “from”
price being the closest destination. Some have prices listed by country.

If you are really curious, you can always go to the post office website of the
seller’s country, and check on the cost yourself.

Try looking for a small logo, part number or a “C” inside the head.

Refunding does not automatically cancel the order.

Follow the directions here:
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=74

Or enter the order number here:
https://www.bricklink.com/retractOrder.asp

Alternately, if the buyer still wants the item, you can set the order to ready,
input the shipping cost and re-invoice them.

I find that "local pick-up" will always be the default shipping method
listed as there is no shipping cost. It is very easy for a buyer to miss this
and just skip through this step to order.
Sometimes it is easier to have this shipping method listed as "Request for
invoice/Local Pickup". It won't be eligible for IC though.

I've attached an example.

Thanks in advance,

Tyson.

Just tried ordering these items.
The black and dark red showed the IC unavailable icon.

These colours do work with IC at other stores, so must be a setting on your end.

What happens if you delete the listing and then re-add it?

During the checkout process, it showed this error under all but the request for
invoice shipping method.

“Instant Checkout/Invoice is not currently available for this method due to missing item information.“

It can’t be a shipping setting as it lets the other colours go through as IC.

It also gave me the AB, QC, NWT, NV, YK Package shipping method, instead of BC,
MB.

On that note, BC and MB should be treated the same as AB, QC etc. we only pay
the GST, that is until BL gets their Canadian tax situation sorted out

Also, you have your PayPal me address listed under payment policies. You should
probably remove that so buyers have to use on-site and can’t just send you the
payment directly, thereby avoiding BL tax collection.

The error points to an error in *ANY* of your wanted lists. This was not caused

correct the duplicate in the list that is causing the problem, then continue
editing the wanted list you want to change.
There should be a warning sign next to the wanted list that is causing the problem.

Neutral would be reasonable, but a negative would be too far - instead of coming

But it is feedback manipulation! in other words blackmail i.e If you don't

The buyer is entitled to have the matter resolved to their satisfaction but if

as the feedback is for them alone to decide upon once the transaction is completed.
It should never be used as a bargaining tool especially since when a seller refunds

out of their own goodwill and not just because of their backs being against the

  Hello,

I was recently looking up a set online, and came across images of it with two
different box designs. From what I can tell comparing the boxes of both types,
the two designs of boxes have the same box dimensions. It is just the visuals
on the box that are different. The set is 4884 Wild Hunters, from 2005

Would Bricklink care about differentiating between the two design types? I know
for some sets they make a note of different box designs, such as 10242-1 or 10220-1,
but I don't know if they are not as concerned if there is no change in the
size of the box, just a change in the visuals.

Attached below are some images to show the difference between the two designs
of boxes. The first 2 images are of one design, and the last 2 are of the other
design. Sorry for the blurry images for some, it is hard to find good images
online.

Any insight would be appreciated,

Alizarin

The first two images are from a non-North American release and the last two images
are from a North American version.

The USA requires part quantities to be listed on the packaging.

You need to make it into a sub-model and then copy that sub-model to the other

Make sure each has the same name. This is known as Linked submodels

between $10-12, resulting in my getting just a few bucks margin for this sale...

I'm wondering what other folks do to mitigate issues like this? I currently
charge exact postage and don't have any handling fees.

I'm wondering if one thing I should do is bump up my minimum order for international

Thanks for any thoughts you might have.

Remember, you don’t pay BL fees on shipping. Just for the parts.

If you initiate a cancellation, you have the option to have the parts in the
order uploaded back into your inventory, and to edit them at the same time. You
can choose to have them placed in regular inventory, or in stockroom. And you
will be cued to a choice about sending out notifications.

I just did this five minutes ago.

What I have found, and have had confirmed in previous posts, is that the default
is to put the parts back into Stockroom A.
This can be confirmed by going to your inventory, sort by Stockroom A and then
sorting by reverse quantity. This will show any parts with any quantity in the
stockroom.

Does anyone know if BL has any rules against having the word "Brick" or "Bricks"
in your official business name if you're running a BL selling account through
a business (LLC for example)? I know that BL store names often have the word
"Brick" or "Bricks" in them since they're not the word "LEGO", but I didn't
know if there was any sort of stipulations regarding what cannot be included
in a BL seller's official business name that they're operating through.
Thanks for your help with this random question.

The general rule is the you cannot use the trademark of another company in the
name of your business. The word "brick" would be pretty difficult to trademark,
so I think it's safe to assume that it's okay to use in the name of your
business. Plenty of BrickLink stores have the word "brick" in their name (e.g.,
1001bricks, Brick Takeover, etc.) and I don't see why being a registered
business would make it not be okay. That being said, it is not okay to use words
like "BrickLink" or "LEGO" which are registered trademarks.

That being said, in Canada there is a big box store called “The Brick”, so I
don’t think that would work as a company name in Canada.

  That's great.
Now the BL fees are %3.15 for Canadians, instead of %3 !

It will change depending on your province.
3.05% (3% fee + 5% GST) in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Northwest Territories,
Nunavut, Quebec, Saskatchewan, and Yukon

That's where you are making a mathematical mistake and don't figure out
how much you are paying extra

Assume you sold $100. They before tax, your fees are $3
Now GST is applied and you get charged an extra %5 calculated as a percentage
of the fees (not on the total price of what you sold), so your GST is
3 * 0.05 = $0.15
So your fees are $3.15 instead of $3.
In other words, your fees are
3 + 3 * 0.05 = 3 * (1 + 0.05) = 3 * (1.05) = % 3.15

Now you entirely forgot about these extra 47¢, didn't you?

  3.13% (3% fee + 13% HST) in Ontario
3.15% (3% fee + 15% HST) in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia,
and Prince Edward Island

For these provinces, the fees will be
3 + 3 * 0.15 = 3 * (1 + 0.15) = 3 * (1.15) = % 3.45

For those people living in these provinces, I recommend to move to BC

Yes.
I realized my mistake after hitting post. I looked at it again, and it didn’t
look right. I should have canceled my post and redone it, but had to go out.

You're fine.
As I hadn't sold much recently (as I haven't added to my inventory in

I should have only had to pay GST on the new order fees and not the accrued fees.

It's only 47¢, but I needed to rant.

I'm sure some of you Canadian sellers have noticed that BL has started to
add GST/HST or QST/PST/RST to our BL fees.

In an email from BL on 3 October 2022 they stated:
"Canadian tax will be applied to commission fees starting from October 2022,
which will be reflected in your bill on November 5. The tax amount will be displayed
as a separate line."

I'm okay with that as that was announced.
What I'm not okay with is that GST was applied to all accrued fees from billing
cycles before October. (I hadn't reached the $10 USD threshold to pay fees
for a few months.)

It's not a lot of money, and definitely won't break the bank, but it's
the principle of it.

What does "active elements only" mean? For white bricks 2x? it results in no
change in the listings when selected.

That parts list includes ancient bricks from the 1950s which are no longer purchasable.
I would assume these parts would be removed from the list when "active elements
only" is selected.

Where is the functionality documented? What does it mean?

When I check white 2x bricks, it changes from 896 to 859.

When looking at another category with fewer parts (Plant, Tree), I noticed that
the two parts that was removed did not have any stores selling it.

Therefore, I concluded that "active elements only" means that at least one store
sells that part.

It's a part of XP (v3) with no documentation.
The XP help center also links to the Studio forum instead of a XP help page.

I would suggest staying with the Classic BrickLink (v2).

Thanks for the quick reply! However, I thought I already had this restriction
enabled, yet selecting this field on the Inventory screen does not bring up any
parts (yes, I do have several parts in inventory that exceed 2cm.)

Filtering by IC unavailable will only show parts:
-that are set to a manual package type, or
-if the weight is missing (if set to weight bound), or
-if any of the dimensions are missing (if set to volume bound).

To clarify, for my Store Settings, under the Shipping tab in the "Restrictions
and Adjustments" section for my main shipping option, I have a Max Dimension
of "2cm" showing for the middle "(h)" field.

This dimension is used to calculate the max volume of a package.

To complicate your search, looking at just the height of a part to see if it's
more than 2 cm will not give you what you want. You need to exclude any part
where any of the three dimensions is less than 2 cm.

For example, a 1x6x5 panel will show in your search as it is more than 2 cm in
height. but the system realizes the panel can lie down. In other words, it looks
at the smallest of the dimension fields to determine "volume" height.

To complicate things, the dimensions listed in the inventory don't follow
the package restriction dimensions of w x h x d.

Parts follow d x w x h:
DimX = Depth (shortest of the two horizontal dimensions)
DimY = Width (longest of the two horizontal dimensions)
DimZ = Height (vertical dimension)

Minifigures and sets use w x h x d (as if it is standing up)
DimX = Width
DimY = Height
DimZ = Depth

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2510

Is there any other way of adding in the height restriction to this shipping option,
to align with what you proposed?

I have the following set for package restrictions for my lettermail shipping
method:
37 cm(w) x 1.85 cm(h) x 26 cm(d)
I use slightly smaller dimensions than allowed by Canada Post to account for
packaging.

I only add a remark if the part is close to the max thickness allowed with lettermail.

----------------------------------
With regards to Packing Type setting: Weight Bound should be used for parts that
are approximately 2 x 2 x 2 cm and smaller.

From Admin Russell: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1342842
One aspect of the system that is not widely known or understood is the effect
of packing dimensions on weight bound items - these are small parts. Even though
an item is weight bound and will not cause a direct issue with size, when the
volume calculation is performed at the end of the process, packing dimensions
are used to calculate the total liquid dimension (volume). Small parts containing
a lot of empty space may trigger a volume issue even though the weight was within
the limits.

Since I track all packages for my small store, is there a message template (or

complete.

When Bricklink sent out the designer sets, they changed the status.

Thank you, Lisa

The seller doesn't have the ability to mark it received anymore.

Once set to shipped, your options are packed, shipped or completed.

Ah - I don't think you can edit the order once the status has been set to
completed.

The buyer has up to 7 days to change it back.
Ask your buyer to change it back and then you can cancel

Go to edit order (between the order ID and date). The icon looks like two pieces

On that page you can change the payment status from completed to none.

Technically no. It is set to display only.
But the instructions are available, so you can build it using the instructions.
At the end, you can then upload the finished model to a wanted list.

As it was originally created in Studio, there is a chance that some parts may
not be available in the colour in the instructions.

What I've done is look into the preferences to find the shortcut codes and
get to know the ones you use the most.
You can even change or add your own shortcut code.

If I'm building something from scratch, I've assigned the Z key to add
a step.
That way every time I add a part, I can click on Z and the next part goes to
the next step.

Get used to building using sub-models.

You can also make instructions using the step editor and working "backwards".
Work from the finished MOC and when selecting parts, use move to step after.
This removes the part from the current view. Rinse and repeat until you've
reached the first step/part.

Contact the buyer to check the address.
Double check to see if the address on the package is correct. You may have transposed
a number.
Also, check Google maps to see yourself if it exists.

Import the MOC to a BrickLink wanted list via XML.

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=1

Then follow these instructions in Studio.

https://studiohelp.bricklink.com/hc/en-us/articles/6483161921303

You will have to build the MOC yourself in Studio.

The dedicated forum for Studio and PartDesigner is https://forum.bricklink.com/

What is wrong with the formatting of the list exactly? I've noticed its an

Remove the first line and try again.

Yes. Oops, I missed the quotes in his response.
My example was based on not using quotes in the search field.

4623b Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with Bar Arm Up (Horizontal Arm 5mm)

‘Up’ is used in the title, but that same keyword is being excluded from searches.

The suggestion is to synchronize the exclusion with the inclusion of certain
words.

Thank you

Titles are there for more than just searching. Plus you can search for "arm up"
so removing up from the title would break that.

I think they are saying to remove some words from the keyword exclusion list.
And of course keep them in titles.

If you use the advanced search page, “up” from “arm up”, would be excluded. It
is not excluded from the standard search page/box at the top of every page.

As you just started selling here, you don't need to collect GST/HST or QST
until you have sales of more than $30,000 per quarter (unless you have sales
elsewhere putting you over the limit).
https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/businesses/topics/gst-hst-businesses/when-register-charge.html

You may register for a GST/HST account, but why put yourself through that misery.
Same goes for QST in Quebec.
Shortly, BrickLink will start to collect taxes for you.

You still have to declare sales as income on your tax return though.

Baby steps.
They have to start somewhere.

Wrong tack, Johan.

The idea of “baby steps” or advance in progression should not apply to this type
of implementation. There should be no “baby steps” in addressing this particular
and inevitable factor for the individual vendor. Get it ready thoroughly and
in advance, then launch before the mandated date. Should never be a beta type
of launch, when fiscal obligations to one's government is on the chopping

I imagine getting audited by the Canadian government would feel more akin to
having-a-baby than taking baby steps... Put more bluntly, I don't think "baby

Has anyone experienced this problem: you have a design in a Stud.Io file. You
upload it to Bricklink so that its parts go into your wanted list so you can
order them (let's say for the sake of argument you have none of the parts
in the design on hand already, so you need to order everything - this was the
case for me). You place your order(s), and when the parts arrive you find certain
parts are missing - not because the seller made a mistake, but because the missing
parts were never included in the order!

Example: my newest build was missing a specific minifig torso, six 1x1 light
blue gray plates and one dark blue gray 1x1 technic brick (I needed 5 of those,
but for some reason only 4 were loaded into the wanted list and ordered). All
the parts were specifically in the Stud.io file, but they didn't make it
to the ordering stage and with so many parts they got overlooked.

Is there a way to prevent this, especially with large orders where its easy to
overlook something? Why would Bricklink skip them? Is there maybe a setting clicked,
or not clicked, during the automatic buying process?? Remedying this problem
cost me an addition $11 tonight, mostly due to shipping costs, and I'm tired
of having to spend extra money for missing parts. It's bad enough if I forget
something on my own, but BrickLink shouldn't be forgetting FOR me!

Apply the order to the wanted list.
The apply order button is at the top right in the wanted list.
Choose more options and then filter the list by Hide Items if Have Qty is ≥ Want
Qty.
this should give you the missing parts if it uploaded properly.

First, did you register on the help desk site.
It is separate from the normal BrickLink login and requires its own login registration.

Second, If you settled the NSS, did you ask the affected buyer to cancel them.
Wouldn’t this be the easiest way to get rid of the NSS?

There is another way then refunding and re-invoicing.

1. Set the payment to none from received. If it set to anything else, you may
need to do it two steps by first setting it to received
2. Add the shipping costs
3. Put what the buyer has paid in the credit field.
4. Re-invoice

Is there a way to change the colour of all items in in a Wanted List in one go?

The only way your issue is colour related is if the part doesn't exist in
that colour.

If you still want to try to change the colour, use the following (but skip ahead
to the wanted list primer below first):
1. Click the checkbox for the part you want to change the color
2. Click the Color button

Careful though. This won't work if the colour already exists in that wanted
list. In that case you need to do it manually.
Also, if you need to keep some in the original colour, you need to add the new
colour manually and adjust the quantities.

Bricklink really needs to hire more people to handle the help desk & actually
communicate with the community, as it stands right now it's just a waiting
game; they expect sellers to be prompt and on time with everything, meanwhile
tickets sit unresolved for weeks, if not months

The fact that there are posts like this every other day is enough justification
and proof that the current system they have going on isn't working; you'd
think that things would improve now that Bricklink is owned by Lego, which is
a billion dollar company with a huge ability to fund things, but it seems to
have stayed the same, or maybe even gotten slightly worse; I know Lego said things
wouldn't change once they took over, but I didn't expect them to be so
literal about it

I know the Admins are humans and they can only do so much, but that's also
a sign things need to be improved and that the workload is too much for the current
employees - just hire 2 - 3 more people to work on the support/public relations
side of things and communicate with the userbase more often & get feedback on
things rather than being radio silent

I obviously don't know the innerworkings of BL, but I've been using the
site long enough to understand some things need to be smoothed out

Should they hire some volunteer admins (like cat and forum admins) to help run
the help desk?
Might get some of the mundane easy stuff out of the way faster.

Also, we won’t be able to use offsite payment options like e-transfer.

In Problem Order, bell.shaun writes:
  Hello guys,

I am buyer from Taiwan and rather new to Bricklink. I ordered some bricks from
a USA seller in May 2022 and paid with USPS Priority Mail International Parcels
with insurance. The seller sent the package, but somehow the package was never
delivered. By checking the tracking with the number that the seller provided,
it’s very clear the package was sent to the wrong country and returned to the
seller after 4 months. (The seller also said he got the package back and everything
is intact.)

As I really want the bricks, I asked the seller to re-send the package. But the
seller said if I want him to re-send the order, I will have to pay for the shipping
again. I want to make sure BrickLink’s policy on this. I can understand it’s
not his fault, but USPS’s fault. But I thought with any business, it should be
seller’s duty to make sure the goods were sent the right way, no? He said the
USPS employee told him that “I” (not him) could get the shipping cost back through
insurance. Isn’t his duty to get the shipping refund as the seller? And since
the USPS didn’t fulfill their duty to send the package to the right destination,
doesn’t this mean the seller is a “Non-Shipping Seller” in Bricklink? (As the
tracking showed the package was not even in my country at any time.) Should I
just file NSS? The seller said he’ll look into the insurance this weekend, but
he has been very slow in responding to my messages. I am not sure if he really
wants to take care of this order. Should I keep waiting and see if he’s willing
to re-send the package? What should I do?

Thank you very much for your help.

Insurance is there for the benefit of the seller.
He should be checking with USPS and file a claim with them to at least get the
shipping cost back.

That being said, he should still ship it to you at his expense as it is not your
fault. This doesn’t have to wait for the claim to go through.

I would wait until Tuesday, and if no reply from him, file an NSS as he still
has the parcel and hasn’t shipped it to you.

In the meantime, you can create a wishlist for the items and see if you can get
it elsewhere.

Don’t wait too long, as the order will be purged after six months.

We sure haven't heard much from CE_Tanja, our Community Engagement Director.
The last post she made was in June.

  Hi,
I paid for an order from China and the seller messaged me and asked for my telephone
number for shipping. Does anyone know anything about this?
Thanks

There is also a new feature added to shipping methods that sellers can require
a phone number.

Is there a way to change the color of an item that's already in your wanted
list. I cant seam to do it. If its not possible is there a reason why? How could
I recommend such a thing?
So for instance I parted out a set and some of the colors don't matter so
I wanted to change them to any. then some of the colors I wanted to swap from
red to blue.
I just feel this would be a nice feature of the site.

1. Click the Edit button
2. Click the checkbox for the part you want to change the color
3. Click the Color button

Careful though. This won't work if the colour already exists in that wanted
list. In that case you need to do it manually.
Also, if you need to keep some in the original colour, you need to add the new
colour manually, and adjust the quantities.

I was just able to add a shipping method by using a shared method.
Are you going from the shipping page of your store settings?

I get the same.
BrickLink is probably messing with some behind the scenes stuff.

I recently opened my store and all was going well until PayPal restricted my
account for "suspicious activity." I submitted all the documentation they requested,
and now I'm banned from PayPal with no explanation. I can't receive payments
(fortunately I was able to set up Stripe and keep my store open). I'm also,
however, not allowed to buy with PayPal anymore, which prevents me from ordering
from any seller here on BL that doesn't have Stripe connected.

Has anyone else experienced this, and do you know of any solutions?

Try calling them to speak to a real person.
Hopefully just a misunderstanding

I'm trying to upload a LDD file for my 9 year old, but the upload says an
item it's in the bricklink catalog. Any way of finding out what the problematic
item is? The file loads fine in the BL Studio, but I can't successfully upload
it to a BL Wanted List.

Thanks!

Try uploading it directly from Studio.
It’s one of the buttons on the upper right. (Middle one?)

When uploading a file, it should tell you the problem part. Usually it’s a part
that BrickLink has added a letter to the part number and the LDD file hasn’t.
