While editing any list by adding wanted items I am getting this error. My sister
is also having the same issue.

"Only one item/color combination is allowed per Wanted List"

I am not trying to add items to a list, just editing the wanted quantity

You need to check ALL your WLs for doublets.

If one list has a doublet (twice the same combination item + colour), it blocks
ALL your lists.

There should be a message in the list that has a doublet.

You can try & delete one of the doublets, or maybe use the Classic view to be
able to do that (I never had the problem myself, so I don’t know if you can remove
one lot).  At worst, you delete the offending WL.

I understand what you mean.
the issue is that does not apply to the situation. During the day I was using
my account perfectly. I did not add new lists. Just edited the field ammount.
This action would not cause this error. Only if I was editing the list and adding
an existing part/color that was already in the list.

This is happening in different accounts. My sister has the same problem. I am
guessing site under maintenance?

Any more ideias?

I can edit my WLs without any problem.

And maintenance is in about 8h30, not now.

This situation has only a few ways of happening.  Editing and adding parts to
a WL doesn’t cause that problem because there’s checks before it happens (for
instance, if you add twice the same part, the quantity is changed, it does does
not add a line in the WL).

One reason it can happen is when an item is modified in the catalogue (I think
only a merge but there may be other possibilities): you had two different items,
and, poof, now they are the same.
So it’s not necessarily something YOU did.

So, please, open all your WLs one by one to see if one has the message.

I know this is tedious but not doing a simple check because “it can’t be that!”
is the one good way to do a lot of other useless things before going back to
that simple check

Without checking your particular situation, I would think this happened because
of several hundred Xref moves I performed recently, where minifigure parts in
fake colors were marged to Black or some other common color. Check all minifigure
parts - head, torso assembly, torso, arm pair, arms, hands, etc.

And please do not put those items on your wanted list in exotic colors that do
not exist.

I'm concerned about this. I've always added elements that don't exist
to my wanted list, in the hopes that they'll be created someday. Why shouldn't
minifig collectors be able to do the same thing?

This is a special request only for minifigure parts because of the fake minifigure
issue:

It won't last forever. After another year / 18 months, we hope to go back
to normal.

I don't know about how BL manages the WL; I create them in BrickStore and
upload them.
Zero problem, made and saved locally.

BrickStore (free, open-source) can easily deduplicate all lots in a couple of
clicks, etc.

Where those without items for sale? As if so it might cause inventory problems
if people orders black pieces from stores that hadn't them in that color...

And please do not put those items on your wanted list in exotic colors that do
not exist.

People use that to keep track of what they don't have and could be possible
new colors that come in future Lego Sets, recently Vidiyo got transparent parts
for example.

If there is action to be done due to current circumstances, do it in item listings
please not, in catalog data that affect users Wanted Lists.

Already Solved it!

The issue came from a list from BrickLink Gallery. Please make sure that Studio
does not allow users to add pieces in colors that are not produced by Lego.

Nope, don’t do that.

1. There’s a lot of new parts that are not yet in some colour or other but that
will surely be available in the next weeks/months (say, for instance, the 1x5
plate in common colours).
It’s totally legitimate to put that kind of parts in a Wanted List to be notified
when they become available.

2. Using unproduced colours is also a simple way to say ‘any colour’ in Studio
as there’s no joker colour in Studio (yes, the suggestion has been made to the
dev team…).

The problem you had was because of special parts in special colours that got
specifically changed in the catalogue.

As a counterexample, I’ve in a WL a few¹ parts that I’m waiting for LEGO to produce,
and that never caused any problem.

¹ 12.  I had 13 but I just realized one was now in production and so I moved
it to another WL

Without checking your particular situation, I would think this happened because
of several hundred Xref moves I performed recently, where minifigure parts in
fake colors were marged to Black or some other common color. Check all minifigure
parts - head, torso assembly, torso, arm pair, arms, hands, etc.

Where those without items for sale? As if so it might cause inventory problems
if people orders black pieces from stores that hadn't them in that color...

Item listings were removed before any Xref changes were performed. The only trouble
may be for fake colors that were sold, These would turn to another color in the
period of time before the order is purged from the system.

The wanted lists were part of the problem, because sellers could list a fake
color and immediately notify many users that they had these parts for sale. So
for the time being, the ability to track future colors for certain parts will
be limited. For these certain parts, inventoried colors and colors that are otherwise
known to exist will be the only ones allowed on wanted lists and in stores.
