Naturally, a photo and condition of piece will be described, but not sure if
this goes against the listing policy or not.

Thanks

Hi everyone, I hope you’re having a nice start to the weekend.

Late last night I received a (small) order for some parts. I quickly sent an
invoice over and the buyer paid (via PayPal). This morning the buyer has messaged
me asking if it would be possible to add something to the order. I know it’s
possible to add items to an order, but I’ve never done it before, and I don’t
know how it would work with the order already being paid. What is the best course
of action?
I can think of two options, either the buyer sends a second order and I don’t
add shipping fees and send the two orders together. Or could I refund the buyer
and then they add the new items and pay again. If I do this second option will
either of us lose from PayPal/BrickLink fees?

Many thanks for reading, Stan.

Refund the payment., through the payment details on paypal of the refund button
on the order detailspage.

With the edit order button you can change the payment status to none and the
order status to pending.
Select 'Separate order payment status from order status' here: https://www.bricklink.com/orderSettings.asp
Then the buyer should be able to add items as Batch#2 etc.

Hi, this is my first time posting on the BrickLink forums. About a year ago I
ordered a set from this site from a seller not from my home country. I paid through
Paypal for the set and the seller claimed to have shipped the set. Here I am,
one year later, still hoping the set is going to arrive. The order was purged
so I do not even remember the seller or how much I actually paid for the set.
I can not dispute the charge due to no longer having that paypal account. So,
I ask you fellow members is there anything that I can really do? Can I somehow
viewed purged orders? If anyone could point me in the right direction I would
really appreciate it. thank you! any questions on my situation please let me
know.

If you used thr Bricklink message system to communicate with the seller you might
have some details too.

  Hello,
I'm new here but I have already around 10000 bricks.
I wanted to know if it's possible, for a non-seller, to inventory items and
bricks to help me follow my stock. I think it could be useful when you make a
MOC to know on Bricklink how many you have of items you need for your MOC, and
then don't buy what you already have.

I have try to "import in my inventory" but it seems that it's only for sellers.

Thank's for your help !
Gonzague

You need to upgrade your account to seller and complete the new seller verification
process, but you can keep your store closed.

I have a rather odd problem. I'm in UK and have had an order from Germany.
I sorted postage costs, additional charges etc and updated the invoice, Bricklink
added the relevant VAT charges etc and I sent the invoice to the customer.
The customer has paid me the total amount, directly, via PayPal Friends & Family.
This is a problem because I can't pass the estimated VAT onto the relevant
authorities myself. I certainly didn't ask him to do this. It didn't
change the status to PAID on the website, although I can do this myself.
I have emailed him but have had no reply.
So - I could just sent the package anyway, after all I have had the money although
he may then incur further costs from customs at his end. (I did warn him of this
in my email)
Anybody else got any suggestions?
Thanks

Refund the payment on the orders details page by clicking on the Refund link.
Or refund the payment through PayPal. The payment status should change to none.
Otherwise change it manually with the Edit Order button.

In Suggestions, jimontrack writes:
Last week, I have been in something of a frantic rush, to get all of the parts
I need, for a MOC, that I need to be ready by the end of next week.

For me, price is vital, due to affordability reasons too. Therefore I need to
plan carefully, then, once the money comes in, time to for an instant splurge
on all of my carts.

I had to place orders with 14 different stores, and before that, I had spent
many days searching through almost 20 carts I had worked up in the lead to the
splurge event.

Then, with money and time running out, there is an almost panic rush to make
sure I have not left anything out of what I need. I found that to be a nightmare,
I gave up on, but my solution idea below, would fix that quite easy.

It is quite a nightmare, scrolling through 14 different stores I have purchased
from, then to add the many of the carts I still need, and so on. There is just
one solution, that is simple to do, yet will help me in a major way.

SOLUTION

Have the ability, for me to get one single, and complete list, of all the items
I have purchased across those many orders I have paid for.

++ One for just the orders I have placed. This will help me tick off, what I
no longer need to purchase. Helps me greatly in knowing how much of what, I
may still need to get.

Create a Wantlist usibgvthr Wantlist icon on the orders placed page, it's
a little scroll.
Select all items and move them to a new separate 'Bought'-Wantlist.

Or use the apply order button.

++ The option to include all carts, across all stores that I have items in their
carts.

Include carts into where?
On the Wantlist buy page, by clicking on items, the remaining wanted parts are
shown.

++ Some way to compare Purchases vs Cart vs Wishlist.

Same as above but copy the items instead of moving the items.

Also while I am here

I would value having the ability to run a 'cart priority'. Doing a wishlist
is not an option at this stage. only a cart, ready to push through the register,
is good enough here.

On the the buy tab you mark items on a Wantlist as required and do a search.

I naturally, do one cart for selected items. This guy is the cheapest. But,
I may have a week before I get the funds required to buy it with. He/She may
sell out before I get that cart to the register. So, naturally, I will have
my 'backup cart'. with stocks from a second cheapest store, just in case
store #1 has sold out before I could buy that cart.

A simple means to mark each of the carts, in some way. Perhaps up to three or
four lists. Some ideas to think about.

If someone pays by bank transfer Hoe do I set the status to paid?

Check the Paid checkbox on the orders received page.
Or if you have separated the order status from the payment status in the settings
of the orders received page you can change the payment status to completed.

How does BrickLink collects the taxes back to me?

With offsite payment methods Bricklink can't collect tax.

You do accept PayPal Onsite as payment method so Bricklink can collect tax.
If they selected regular PayPal, then Bricklink can't collect the tax.

If they are trying to buy items with missing dimensions in the catalog or larger
than your shipping methods allow, add a manual invoice only shipping method.

Quick question. Can orders now outside the EU only be paid with Pay Pal? This

If this is the case, then this would be a reason for my to stop shipping to those

I cannot change the paymend of the order from Pay Pal onsite to bank transfer
anymore (with an order of the UK).

Kind regards,

out? It’s pretty crazy how fast this went and really shows the great demand.
Based on what could be in the second phase it might even go faster than that.
I personally think they should either raise the limit for being sold out or at
least bring down the max you can get to like 2 so that more can go around.

I think timeframe is clearly the same for all 7 designs so all have a change
to become produced.

how I remove all items from a purchase from an existing wanted list?

Thanks!

Click on the wantlist icon on the orders placed page. It's a little scroll.
From there you can delete them or move them to a new 'Bought' list until
thye are received.

how much I want to open that box

You can buy 2 pirates minifigures.

On the "Verify Changes" page I then select the "reason:"

I'm using the onsite payment method with manual invoicing.
Any ideas on work arounds or suggestions???

Is the payment status changed to none?

I had someone once ask me a question regarding a forum post I made. When trying
to respond, it showed that I was on their stoplist and couldn't contact them,
something the user must not have realized when sending the question. However,
I found that if I went to their store page and clicked on the Contact button
on the top there, I could still send the message. Perhaps that is how they are
still sending you messages. I know of no fix for this.

It's designed that way.

Not sure if this is possible..

If I have a bricklink wanted list, is there some way to part that list out into
my store inventory?

Whether that be directly from the wanted list, or by exporting the wanted list
in some way and re-uploading it?

Thanks

You can use the search on the My Inventory page, select Items in my Wantlist.

Hi,

I just tired that. I had a default wanted list with 223 lines of items, and from
the inventory screen selected search based on my wanted list. That seems to return
172 lines of results. I.e. my store can service 172 lines of my wanted list.

I wanted to achieve the reverse, I.e. add the 223 lines of the wanted list to
my store as new stock.

Ta

It's possible with Brickstock.
There have been posts in the forum about how to do it.

I have spent 2 hours searching settings & forums without any luck
So can I alter the weight/dimensions on my items & if so where?

If items are missing weight or dimensions or are too large for your shipping
methods.
Add a new shipping method with manual invoice.

On your My Inventory page under Search options 'Show More Options)',
search your items for 'Instant Checkout Unavailable'
In your inventory item page you can change the 'Pkg type:' to 'Manual
Only'.

With the edit order button on the orders received page you can change the payment

Then you can add the costs and send the invoice

  Hi All,

I ordered parts from a well known seller in the US and paid by paypal. It was
shipped by USPS with tracking. Package hasn't been scanned since 18 may,
so that's not good.

18 may isn't that very long.

When I contacted the seller, he referred to his TOS where he stated that he
is not responsible for lost packages.

Well I think (read know) he is because he's an official seller so (at least
in Europe not sure how it is in the US) a seller is responsible for the delivery
of the goods. And secondly he accepted a payment by paypal so he is bound to
paypal terms.

You've 180 days to start a dispute on the PayPal website.

What are you're thoughts about this ? Can a seller put in terms which are
against the law ? Should BL make an general TOS where all sellers are bound
too ? should I read his terms and not place the order ?

It's already in the TOS.

  Dear BrickLink members,

We are very pleased to announce that we are adding member Maggiec to the Community
Expert Program. She is being appointed as a BrickLink Inventories Administrator
and will be serving alongside current Inventories Admins Paulvdb and Turez.

For most of you, Maggie needs no introduction. She is a long-time member of the
site, and has served as a Catalog Administrator for 14 years. She has worked
with several well-known catalog administrators including Firefly and Therobo,
and also Dan Jezek himself.

https://www.bricklink.com/memberAdmins.asp

Most people will associate Maggie with the "catalog" side of the Catalog, but
she has also been active as a contributor on the "inventories" side over the
years as well. In fact, she logged the very first inventory change requests back
in June 2004:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogInvChangeItem.asp?itemType=S&itemNo=4535-1&viewDate=Y&viewStatus=1

Maggie has been a stabilizing force during some very critical times for the BrickLink
site. And we are very pleased she is joining us now for this next journey, and
we feel she will be an excellent addition to our Catalog team.

Please join me in welcoming her!

Congratulations Maggie.

I recently have issued my first NPB recently as well, and after it completed
the buyer left feedback that was marked as removed. I'm curious about what
they wrote since I had absolutely no contact with them besides them placing the
order in the first place.

I didn't feel like leaving a negative feedback to them since the NPB had
already completed and I felt it was enough. I saw that they already received
an NPB a while ago because another seller left negative feedback but it felt
like double jeopardy to me so I didn't want to pile on publicly.

The NPB process + feedback is to weed out bad buyers and to warn others.
By completing the NPB and leaving feedback you're helping the community.
You're not helping a bad buyer by letting him get away with it.
Because of softness other sellers will have to go through the trouble too.

I know when creating a coupon, you can exclude certain parts....but can this
be done after a coupon has been issued as I don't want to overprice it so
much that it turns off potential buyers elsewhere? Considering these are worth
up to 75% off, that's a major difference in price!

I've retained it as a stock item for now until the coupons are used or expired.

Change it on the coupons page here https://www.bricklink.com/orderCoupons.asp

  Hello.

Two suggestions.
1. Distance measurement between parts.
2. Moving and rotating parts that are connected on two separate ball joints,
for example two arms holding one accessory in both hands, so that they can be
posed, instead of adjusting both arms separately and than hardly making both
hands hold the item, it requires really patiend and painstakingly precize maneuvering.

This person bought one piece at my store, selected a letter without tracking
or insurance. He did not yet received the order and put me on NSS. Obvouisly
I did send it, he doesn't reply and this situation is very unfair. I wanna
give him a full refund but he doesn't reply.

How to deal with this issue? Any negative feedback or even a completed NSS alert
would be bogus!

Thanks in advance.

Always respond to the NSS in the comments section of the NSS.
Send Admin proof of the refund:
