Hi all. I am desperately searching for a U.S. seller that has discount pricing
for massive 4073 purchases. 2-3 cents a stud is not feaseable when buying this
many. $800 is not within my budget. Hoping a store is willing to do bulk discount
prices, especially for buying such a massive quantity.

Colors and quantities I'd like are below. I will settle for a little less
if need be.
Yellow: 10K
Red: 10K
Blue: 10K

Hoping to get this for no more than $350 not including shipping. If the price
is right I will strongly consider buying more colors. I love lime, orange, trans-light
blue and pink as well.

Hoping someone can help! Thank you!

I don't have much experience with the 12v trains, but this sounds like what
happened with the one I had. I used a pencil eraser to clean the tracks off
and it worked great after.

In LEGO, Alexxx writes:
  Hallo guys,

I play again with my wonderful 12v trains. But...... i don't understand
why my 12v Lego transformer doesn't work well. While trains running, power
get off suddenly, after few seconds it starts again and so on....
May be it's overloaded? Or it comes damaged?

Someone could help me? Tks a lot...

You might want to remove the word “legos” from your terms and replace it with
the word LEGO. S𝒂𝚢𝕚ɴᘜ legos is a big no no for most people. Also there is
a lot of grammar mistakes in your terms that you might want to correct

I don't know how colors of cloths like this are determined, but these two
rugs have the same fabric pattern.

I have the first one. In fact, that is my image for it. It is a white cloth
with printing on one side of it, so white is the base color. Therefore, the color
for it is correct.

Are you sure that white is the base color for the other one?

Cheers,

Hello Bricklink community,

I create LEGO mosaic artwork (www.brickmaniac.com & Instagram @brickmosaics).
I am gearing up for a large community build project involving ~70 city kids this
summer. As a way to punctuate this event, I would like to offer participants
a chance to build and take home with them a LEGO minifigure of their own design.
I scratched together about 30 minifigures from my own collection, but I need
more minifigs and extra parts to insure that each participant can have the opportunity
to get one. My budget also isn't sufficient to afford the purchase new minifigures
in this quantity, which is why I am asking the Bricklink community for help.
I am pretty sure there must be some extra minifigs & parts out there, given our
large LEGO community!

The ask: I would really appreciate it if you have any minifigures or
parts to share. If possible, I hope to have parts/figures with different skin
tones, so that kids of different skin tones can make a figure that looks like
they do, if they want. The minifigs/parts do not need to be brand new.

At this point, I am looking for anything (heads, torsos with arms/hands, legs,
arms/hands, hair, helmet, etc.), so please direct message me if you have something
that you're willing to contribute.

I have a stamp collection and I am able and happy to reimburse for shipping.

Thanks in advance for your generosity!!
Aaron

P.S. I cannot take credit for this great LEGO meme, I found it on the internet.

Based on LEGO.com's official inventory data.

Here's a photo with visible beds:

There are also pre-2010 silver pieces. They should probably also be changed,
as parts before 2010 could not possibly be Flat Silver.

Thanks, but then these requests cannot be approved because you probably just
had one part 3749 in light gray and one in tan in each set and we already have
the extra 3749 in light gray in the inventory. It is also visible here:

Comments from Submitter:
From 2 sealed sets.
One of them had 2 x 3749 in tan, the other one had 2 x 3749 in light gray (one is regular, the other one extra).

Did you mix the parts from both sets before you checked them? In other words,
could it be possible that there was 1x 3749 in tan and 1x 3749 in light gray
in each set?

Additional question: Which 553* version(s) did you find in your sets?

* Change 1 Part {Light Green to Medium Green} 6510 Duplo, Plant Flower with Stud

Comments from Submitter:
This particular wave of DUPLO 'Playhouse' sets did not use Light Green in any of these sets. Neither of these parts are confirmed to exist in Light Green and are more than likely a result of someone mistakenly lumping Light and Medium Green under the same name, as they are both lighter than basic Green (This error also happens with Light and Medium Blue).

Finally found some photos.

The 4904 mold was retired in 1992 and even the catalog photo for this part in Medium Green is of the newer mold. No evidence online exists to suggest that a Medium Green 4904 exists. A photo will follow.

I have submitted another change request for the set that has that part. In fact,
I believe many of those parts to be wrong.

Just noticed. The other parts will come later.

Hello

We are currently doing a large sale on all items in the store.

The sale will last for the next 1-2 weeks.

We are doing this to move some inventory before we have to move it to our new
location.

I don't think the buyer continuously circumventing bans can be fixed by sellers
reporting them. This is the same problem that exists with stoplists - the buyer
makes a new account and orders again. BL apparently doesn't check new account
data against any banned/stoplisted account data before allowing an order to be
placed from the new account.

My only concern is that their buying privaledges have been revoked 3 times and
they continue to create new accounts to get around this. As I don't know
what rule they violated to get their buying privileges revoked and I haven't
seen any rules broken I don't know what I would report them for, but it seems
like something wrong is being done.

I would like to be able to sort by price, all of the available lego sets in
new condition in my country. I don't care what the theme is. Is there a
way to do this across all catalog/themes? or at least download the entire sales
inventory to excel and sort?

Thanks for your feedback, bricklinklp
My screen looks different from yours and no "void" on any of the drop-down boxes.
When I change the payment status to "not yet paid" (only other option) it's
not allowed because the "payment has not been returned to the sender's account"

Today I got 2 orders from the same username being sent to two different addresses.
Both asked for no packing slip to be included so I figured I had a drop shipper
on my hands. I don't care about drop shippers generally, and I'm not
aware of being against any rules, so I was just gonna pack the orders and move
on, until I noticed that one of the names on the shipping address was very familiar.
I don't generally recognize a name unless I've shipped there 3+ times
but I thought it was weird that on the order it said this person had only purchased
from me twice (both that day and to the different addresses as mentioned). So
I thought this was odd and decided to do a little digging.

I went back to my email and searched the name and found that I had sent to this
address 4 times in the past 4 months (3 in the past month). Checking the usernames
on each order, I noticed that all 4 orders had different usernames. I then search
each username in my email and found that I have received at least 14 orders from
this user (all orders are for minifigures):

-7 from the first username which has 3400+ positives with the username only
being around for 8 months. There are 12 negatives from the same person (on the
same day) saying drop shipper. Their buyer privileges have been revoked.
-1 order from the second username which has only been in use for 1 month. 86
positives, no negatives but buyer privileges have been revoked
-4 orders from the 3rd username which has only been in existence for 3 weeks.
300 positives, no negatives but buyer privileges have been revoked.
-2 orders from the 4th username (which is a more unique name though not much)
but their buyer privileges are still good.

All of the usernames have positive feedback as recently as yesterday. I am not
sure if there are more than these 4 usernames, though it seems quite possible.

So what is going on? This person is clearly a drop shipper. I did not think
that was against the rules as long as you are not selling from a BrickLink store
(where you obviously wouldn't have the inventory on-hand which is against
the rules).

If it's not against the rules why have their buyer privileges been revoked
on the first 3 usernames? How did the buyer privileges get revoked on the 2nd
and 3rd username without even receiving a negative feedback? Should I report
this newest username?

Does anyone have any info on this or have they noticed this person doing this
in their store? Any info or guidance on this would be appreciated.

-Pete

Could it simply be that these accounts are dropshippers, and the common shipping
name/address is someone who buys quite a few minifigs on eBay, and happen to
buy from multiple dropshippers all ordering from you again?

It seems plausible, and there is nothing wrong or fraudulent going on.

Taxes are charged based on shipping address, so I doubt it's anything sketchy
for tax evasion.

Dropshipping is fine, I don't mind them at all, as they get the first questions
from their buyers and act like a filter towards you and me in case issues arise.
Easy business for me. I get the price I want, and he gets extra margin for going
through effort of setting a listing up on ebay and the effort that goes along
with that. Everybody happy.

This is a tech glitch, we had 4 and bricklink is aware of the issue.

Here is how to fix it

1. go to your PayPal account and void the pending transaction.

2. edit the order from paid to not yet paid

3. ask the buyer to try again.

Most probably dirty track/engine contacts. The train gets some speed until it
'hits' a bit of dirty track and looses contact. The slightest movement
can cause the train to make contact again and the process repeats itself.

Use train more often = probably problem solved

There are no rules against someone selling something on another digital platform
and sourcing it from a BrickLink seller. I don't know why the other user
names have had their privileges revoked, but I have never had any trouble with
this particular buyer. They are organized, pay promptly, and have caused me zero
problems. I don't care to list things on ebay or amazon and now, I don't
have to. I'm selling stuff at the price I listed and I hope they are also
making a tidy profit.

Jen

Yeah I don't have a problem with drop shippers because I set my price and
that's what it sold for. No complaints from me that someone else is selling
what I sold for more. Good for them I guess. Also I know some BrickLink sellers
will drop ship when there is a problem with one of their orders. Like if there
is a damaged minifigure and they don't have a replacement to send to their
buyer they purchase it in another store and just drop ship it to their buyer.
I see no problem with that.

My only concern is that their buying privaledges have been revoked 3 times and
they continue to create new accounts to get around this. As I don't know
what rule they violated to get their buying privileges revoked and I haven't
seen any rules broken I don't know what I would report them for, but it seems
like something wrong is being done.

That sounds sketchy. Did the buyer pay Onsite or try to send it directly to your
PayPal account? Do you see anything in your PayPal account? I'm guessing
not if you're posting here.

The times I've seen that happen most were for dropshippers that were trying
to get around tax collection, so they'd try to say they're from X state
that didn't have state taxes being collected yet (New Hampshire was a popular
one) but usually say "Please ship to the address shown in PayPal instead" (as
states that didn't have automatic tax collection I think didn't force
an onsite address confirmation with PayPal so the BL and PP addresses could be
different), and then once BL admin caught on, they'd get shut down and make
another new account. Not saying that's what's happening here, but I definitely
recall running into a few of those during the early days of the marketplace tax
rollout.

The tax evasion might be part of it. Their location has changed between the usernames.

They don't even have a seller's account. They are buying from BrickLink

be selling on Ebay or a different platform. So what rule are they breaking?

They're not, as far as I know, breaking any rule (at least not a BrickLink
one; some sellers have clauses in their Terms about not selling to dropshippers).
It could be that you see the same address popping up because someone is buying
on ebay (or whatever) from multiple BL dropshippers.

They could be buying from multiple eBay drop shippers but I'm pretty confident
in this instance they are buying from the same drop shipper. The various usernames
associated with these orders are very similar. For instance they would be like
beach01, beach02, beach03, ocean01, etc.

IIRC, BL "Pending" status just means that the order hasn't been paid.

Agreed, you can see the bottom of 487/924 through the bag! I just can't believe
the condition of the 928, including the antenna.

How did they pay? Look at your account on the payment processor's site and
see the status of the payment there. Sounds fishy to me.

Set purchased at LEGO Store in Disney Springs on May 4, 2022, contained 2 white and lavender skirts for Elsa.

Whoa, sorry everyone! I just finished the inventory for this set and I did receive
the extra skirt. I couldn't find any reference to it online so I figured
it was an anomaly in my set. I will add this part to the catalog and we can then
include it properly as an Extra.

Thanks for bringing this up!
Jen

At least we know now that it was not a packing error. Thanks Meteiver!
I wanted to ask you, but I thought "no way this would be added as an extra".
Did you ever find extra's like this before Jen?

Diana

For sure! But I usually don't include them in an inventory unless I can confirm
them from at least one other source. This way, when everyone tries to delete
the unusual extra, we have it all documented.

Part No: 90398 Name: Minifigure, Utensil Statuette / Trophy
*
90398 Minifigure, Utensil Statuette / Trophy
Parts: Minifigure, Utensil {Copper}

Any idea's about the color?
I received pictures compared with other copper parts from the period, but it
doesn't really look like TLG 300.

Diana

It is from years later and perhaps is another TLG color, but it is copper color.
I'm not sure it would be worth getting a new color.

It is a painted copper coating similar to Metallic Silver or Metallic Gold.
I would like to see this added as Metallic Copper to the BrickLink colors.

It doesn't look at all like the other Metallic Copper parts.
Closer to 300 then imo. But it is a painted copper coating indeed.

What about:
139 Copper (2003-2008)
300 Copper, Drum Lacquered (2008-2012)
346 Copper Metallic (2017-2020)

This part is also a strange in-between color:

Part No: 95676 Name: Minifigure, Headgear Helmet Gladiator
*
95676 Minifigure, Headgear Helmet Gladiator
Parts: Minifigure, Headgear

Keep in mind that all collectifig parts from that era were produced by a factory
contracted by Lego, since Lego hadn't built their own factory in China yet.
So it was a little harder to tightly control colors.

Ok. Didn't know that. Thanks for your info!

The plain BLY minifig head seems to have disappeared from the DB???

I think it is currently out of stock from any seller (?)

But why is it now gone on the list of colors for this part?

Because there is no such thing as the list of colors of a part. There
are several lists on the catalog page:
(1) available colors = which colors of this part are currently available in stores;
this does not mean that the color actually exists, only that the seller listed
the part in this color.
(2) on wanted lists = which colors of this part are currently specified on wanted
lists; a lot of these colors are wishful thinking on behalf of the potential
buyers.
(3) known colors = which colors are known to exist in set/gear/etc inventories;
these colors have been confirmed to exist and can be traced to their origin.
This list is not exclusive in that parts may still exist in another color in
sets that have not been inventoried, in test runs, in special releases or escapes,
from model shops or unknown other sources.

So as to your question, I assume you are looking at list (1): the color disappears
from this selection whenever there is no-one having this part in this color available
in their shop. They may still have them in their stock rooms and you may still
list an item for sale in this color or place it on your wanted list.

A good indication of whether a part actually exists in a color, is when there
is an actual photo of the part in this color. Either in the catalog or in the
seller's listing. For renders this is mostly true as well, but they may occasionally
exist when a part has never been seen in this color. So if you see listings without
an image, always be aware that it may be wrongly listed.

[p=3626c] does have a single listing (at the time of writing) but no image in
BLY [p=3626c,103] and the wrong color image associated to that listing.

I read on Eurobricks that the BLY plain minifig head only exists as a "factory"
item.
So perhaps it was indeed "illegally" made.
Bummer. Just when I thought I could finally complete several BLY monofigs.

hah! Depending on the price of course, that was certainly not a risky purchase
and would have been snapped up by anyone who knows anything about Lego. I used
to find some great listings like these on craigslist, but haven't found anything
worth buying in probably 2 years.

My best find ever percentage wise was probably $60 for The Black Pearl, Queen
Anne's Revenge, and $1000 worth of Harry Potter and Star Wars.

Sets: DUPLO: Basic Set

Hi,

Can you please provide proof for these 4 change requests you added?

Thanks,
Diana

Besides the proof there are two problems:

For this set, you can't change alternate to regular, because the minifig
is regular already and the set has a minifig or one of the animals, not both.

If we would approve all 4 changes there's no set left with

Part No: 2276px1 Name: Duplo Hippo Baby with Black and Light Blue Eyes Pattern
*
2276px1 Duplo Hippo Baby with Black and Light Blue Eyes Pattern
Parts: DUPLO, Animal {Dark Bluish Gray}

So please give us proof for the set(s) in which you found:

Part No: 51671pb01 Name: Duplo Hippo Baby with Black and White Eyes Pattern
*
51671pb01 Duplo Hippo Baby with Black and White Eyes Pattern
Parts: DUPLO, Animal {Dark Bluish Gray}

Diana

The only images of this new Hippo I can find on the internet are from Bricklink,
Rebrickable, Brickowl and Brickset. All exactly the same image (the old variant
on Bricklink is turned around).

I can't find any sets with this Hippo with those triangular eyes. Does it
really exist, or is it an image from TLG that never was produced as pictured?

Confirmed by Sealed Set contents. I will try to make an additional image which
shows the eyes better.

49 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2022
Sets: Disney: Disney Princess: Frozen

Comments from Submitter:

We've had all the available set data and all the part renders for years even
from before LEGO owned the site. However, our catalog is much more complicated
than just this data. Look at a set inventory. How much do you see that is obviously
been created by hand? Photographic images, minifig inventories, names for parts,
extras, alternates, sticker sheets, etc?? If we used the raw data from Day 1,
your part-out would be incomplete, and I bet that wouldn't be what you want
either.

-Pete

There are no rules against someone selling something on another digital platform
and sourcing it from a BrickLink seller. I don't know why the other user
names have had their privileges revoked, but I have never had any trouble with
this particular buyer. They are organized, pay promptly, and have caused me zero
problems. I don't care to list things on ebay or amazon and now, I don't
have to. I'm selling stuff at the price I listed and I hope they are also
making a tidy profit.

service and helps you if USPS says you underpaid shipping. PP/S not very helpful

It's just a time thing. Paypal has them all loaded ready to go, and has the
correct addresses you need for seller protection. I don't let edge cases
decide the norm- they get dealt with separately.

be selling on Ebay or a different platform.

Not saying that's what's happening here, but I definitely
recall running into a few of those during the early days of the marketplace tax
rollout.

Perhaps she was referring to this
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogColors.asp?itemType=P&itemNo=3626b&v=2

In LEGO, hpoort writes:
  In LEGO, amvdamian writes:
The plain BLY minifig head seems to have disappeared from the DB???

I think it is currently out of stock from any seller (?)

But why is it now gone on the list of colors for this part?

Because there is no such thing as the list of colors of a part. There
are several lists on the catalog page:
(1) available colors = which colors of this part are currently available in stores;
this does not mean that the color actually exists, only that the seller listed
the part in this color.
(2) on wanted lists = which colors of this part are currently specified on wanted
lists; a lot of these colors are wishful thinking on behalf of the potential
buyers.
(3) known colors = which colors are known to exist in set/gear/etc inventories;
these colors have been confirmed to exist and can be traced to their origin.

I'm still wondering about the history behind...

Well I think you can simply go to EBAY and look if and when your minifig got
sold here too.

Also, a lot of my preferred sellers put the business card and the receipt into
the envelope, which the dropshipper can't do anything about because it's
inside!

So if I were a ebay buyer, I would instantly know I were ripped off because I
see the real price (lower) and I will get the url from the card, land here and
use BL from that point on. bye bye ebay

But how on earth a minifig lover is so advanced in Lego lore to collect them
and so noob to use EBAY, that defeats me.

You might also find that the address is a forwarder, where foreign buyers buy
in the US (or other countries) and have the item shipped to a local address,
who then forward it internationally.

2552px3 Baseplate, Raised 32 x 32 with Ramp and Pit with Blue Water and Dark Gray Stones Pattern
Parts: Baseplate, Raised {Light Gray}
The part was flipped the wrong way when the rocks were printed on it. Resulting
in both sides being printed, and the top missing a partial print. I haven't
seen anything quite like it before and am surprised it exists, made it past quality
control and survived 30 years to today intact.

I wonder how in the world that happened. Cool find, thanks for sharing.

Could they be painted before being pressed into form?

Or are they not “stamped”

  like other parts?
Weird.

I assume they are decorated before forming. The continuous printing on the curved
edges is too good to be printed afterwards.

make something genuine on a product level. What determines if something is genuine
or not?

Authorization does make something genuine because it’s all about bona fide
& Intellectual Property.

The definition of genuine you’re defending is attached and limited to the material.
It’s okay when we are talking about “genuine leather” as opposed to “leatherette”
(or “peau de pneu” / “tyre skin” ), it’s not if we are talking about something
that relates to IP.

For instance, say an author dictates all their books to the same typist who always
uses the same paper, ink, and typewriter.  If the typist writes a book on their
own with the same tools, is the book genuinely from the author?  Of course not.
And if the typist is actually more a co-author or even a ghost writer?  Still
no if the (main/front) author doesn’t sign/authorize it.

Some people try to twist the words around with phrases like “unauthorized authentics.”
They are just scammers.  If it’s not authorized, it’s not genuine nor authentic,
by definition.

If 1 manger at LEGO said to make a certain part and another said not
to and the part was still made would it be genuine or a fake

I think there’s a octagon in every LEGO factory for such cases

More seriously, it’s not the same because 1) the first manager had the authority
to give the order, and 2), more simply, even if they didn’t have that authority
and the parts were made, someone at LEGO has the authority to decide what to
do with the parts (authorizing them post hoc, or not).
For the “night-shift” parts we’re talking about, LEGO has decided they were not
genuine.

   (my example probably
makes no since since it’s 3 am where I live and I haven’t slept in ages)

I understand that selling something on BrickLink that you don't have in stock
is against the rules, but this person isn't selling anything on BrickLink.
They don't even have a seller's account. They are buying from BrickLink
sellers and most likely having them directly shipped to their buyers. They could
be selling on Ebay or a different platform. So what rule are they breaking?

Contradiction in terms: by definition, if they are not authorized, they are not
genuine.

Analogy: even if you use the paper, ink, printing plates and everything else
of the US Mint to make dollar bills, they won’t be genuine.

When you say illegally made, do you mean counterfeit? As on made by someone or
wrongly made at a Lego factory?

The plain BLY minifig head seems to have disappeared from the DB???

I think it is currently out of stock from any seller (?)

But why is it now gone on the list of colors for this part?

Because there is no such thing as the list of colors of a part. There
are several lists on the catalog page:
(1) available colors = which colors of this part are currently available in stores;
this does not mean that the color actually exists, only that the seller listed
the part in this color.
(2) on wanted lists = which colors of this part are currently specified on wanted
lists; a lot of these colors are wishful thinking on behalf of the potential
buyers.
(3) known colors = which colors are known to exist in set/gear/etc inventories;
these colors have been confirmed to exist and can be traced to their origin.

Why, bearing in mind The Lego Group now own BrickLink, do we still have to wait
for set inventories to be approved? - surely TLG actually have pics of any new
parts and have the capability to provide them to a site it owns?

Bricklink adds to inventories:
- Complete Minifigs
- Counterparts
- the correct variants of parts
- alternate variants
- extra parts

This can only be done by submitting inventories, based on sealed sets.
- add the minifigs
- add the counterparts
- check the correct variant
- build the set to determine extra parts

All this has to be checked before approval, to make sure it's correct and
complete.

on, until I noticed that one of the names on the shipping address was very familiar.

It is against the rules. You are only allowed to sell items you have in stock.
Yes, you should report.
