I don’t have the parts, only 3D model for 18923c01, so could someone check they
are actually:
— 18923c01: 2 bricks high,
or 2 1/3 if you include the wheel axle brick (bottom is 1 plate lower than
the base),
or 2 1/3 if you include the top of the mudguards,
or 2 2/3 if you include both the bricks and the mudguards,
— 68446c01: 2 1/3 bricks high,
or 2 2/3 if you include the wheel axle bricks,
or is it 2 & 2 1/3? (I can’t see if it’s the base that is higher or the
mudguards that are lower),
and make the proper change request?
Thanks

| Most parts include its category at the beginning of the description. But not
always, such as as part # x577 Engine (category is Aircraft). There's a bunch
of minifig parts like this too.
The accuracy is important for me when I'm trying to build a set and all my
parts are organized by category. When I get to the engine part I have to go all
the way back to Aircraft bin to go find that part.
Am I crazy or would it make sense to change this to make it consistent?

|
| So, I'd like to understand how scientific the measurements are for parts,
as I have come across some variation in the weights for some parts that share
the same "mould" (part number anyway).
Is it possible to request that someone re-analyse some of these to assess accuracy?
This is regarding the main minifigure hips and legs.
970c00 - 1.18g
970c00pb0966 - 1.16g - black
970c00pb0861 - 1.19g - black
970c00pb0961 - 1.27g
970c00pb0444 - 1.18g
While I'm not an expert in ink weights and color/material weights, this seems
a bit suspicious. If it was an issue of colors, then all matching color parts
would have very similar weights.
People are paying shipping based on these weights so they need to be accurate.
I'm just wondering if this has actually been reviewed, for this part in
particular?

Why are these suggested to be moved over to animal, land? It doesn't make
sense. The category should be based on the shape of the item first, not decoration.
If this goes through, we'll have some of 19729 in heads, and then these two
in animal.
With this logic, the pink frogs should be moved to plant since they're used
as blossoms.

Can anyone tell what the difference between
and
actually is. According to the inventory, they contain different torsos - the
color of the shirt (one being light green, the other white) and apparently "MANTER
or MASTER".
Given white printing is rarely actually white on dark colored torsos, I suspect
the shirt colors are the same. Similarly, is MANTER just a typo, and it should
be MASTER?
Should the torsos, hence the minifigures, be merged?

| I'm wondering why there aren't counterparts, or something similar for
many minifigures. I've had many times where I'll have a minifigure that
would come with a set, but not the fig that is inventoried in Bricklink. It
is an intended figure from Lego, and may even be the primary figure based on
the instructions.
It seems that by not including these "counterfigures", certain parts have their
prices artificially inflated, as the fig cannot be sold without those parts.
I know figs can be sold just as parts, but that is significantly less desirable.
I'm sure others have run into similar issues. Some examples...there are
lots more:
Thanos with infinity gauntlet instead of left hand
Sabine w/Mandalorian Helmet
Star Lord w/Mask/Helmet

Wasn't sure if I can add known/available colours for parts using the forms
so am hoping it's okay to post the request here.
* | | 4863c01 (Inv) Window 1 x 4 x 2 Plane, Single Top Hole and Double Bottom Holes for Glass with Trans-Light Blue Glass (4863 / 4862) Parts: Window |
Please can this part be updated to make it known/available in Red. Seems a bit
of an oversight that there's a photo showing it existing in Red but I can't
select the colour Red from the list of colours.
Six of them are found in set 6392 (as well as two in White). I realise they
are part assemblies (counterparts), but since it exists in White & Yellow, I
figure it should also exist in Red. Unless I am missing something and making
a glaringly obvious mistake?
Thank you

|
| I would like to have opinions from vintage collectors on this one
doesn't appear in any set on Bricklink and I think the reason is:
because of this assembly with black string it looks like all these have a black
drum.
I wanted to add a bb0073c01 to the catalogue, but I am having some doubts, because
has an undetermined length and this length could be different per set
and
and
appear in sets randomly. Both variants exist in Pat Pend, Pat Pend
Obscured ...
Since a part assembly can't have alternate parts in it's inventory, I
think it would be better to have the separate parts in inventories, instead of
the assembly.
I know set 183-1 came with a complete assembly, but I am not sure it did come
in all 9 sets as assembly (most of them have the assembly as regular in the inventory
from the start though). Set 183 has almost everything assembled.
Besides your opinion on this, I would like to ask members who have one or more
sets below, to check:
- does it have bb0072 or bb0073
- does it have 3127 or 3127b
- what's the length of the string
- did it come assembled in the original sealed box
Please mention why you think it came original with the set (had it from childhood,
was bought sealed, etc..). The more proof, the better. If you have images from
sealed set contents, I would really appreciate it. Images of black drums in catalogues,
on box and in instructions are not considered as proof, that it actually came
with a black drum.
Sets:
1967-
Samsonite
1967-1970
1969-
Samsonite
1971-1972
1973-1974
has bb0072c01 as counterpart (which has hook 3127b), but the hook in the inventory
is 3127
1973-
Same set as 382-1
1976-1977
My boxed set has
- bb0073
- 3127 pat pend obscured
- string is replaced I think
1977-1978
I have a glued retailer model with
- bb0073
- 3127b
- string original appr. 35cm
1978
Same set as 218-1
For set
I would also appreciate of you check the turntable you have in your set.

easily because of a different colour or slightly different shape. I recently
got two copies of the light bluishgray turntable bottom that have a correct shape
of colour but miss the word LEGO, however have as dot in the cross similar to
LEGO. Now I know from the tiles they have different texts on the bottom so this

two I doubt about.
Maybe there is someone who can tell me whether this is original, and if they

Does part 6222 always have an x axle hole, or could it also have a + axle hole?
If it has both, does it need to be split into 2 variants (6222a/6222b)?

| I've noticed that there are parts, particularly Minifigure heads like #3626cpb0496,
which are not listed as appearing in any sets by BrickLink. So then, what is
their purpose?
Are they production errors or are they produced for MOCs?

| I have stumbled on a few new part numbers (design IDs) on LEGO's Pick-a-brick.
I can't tell if they are parts that should be considered new variants or
if the part numbers should just be added to the existing parts (suggestion in
parenthesis below). I'll leave that for the admins to decide and do. I'm
adding screenshots because many parts come and go each day on PAB and the catalog
seems to be regional.

|
| The Dark Purple Classic Space torso for the CMF22 series figure 11 (Space Creature)
pictured below contains a classic space torso given a new print ID of 973pb4514c01,
with the emphasis on the print pattern of ID of 973pb4514*, which does not follow
the classic space print torso convention of 973p90* which is used on classic
space torso prints.
Even the CMF Rocket Boy from the CMF series 17
or the other reissues of the Classic Space figures follow this convention torso
973pb90 ID convention.
I highly suggest changing the 973pb4514c01 to be renamed to 973p90new2c11 which
is the next sequential available color number. Ideally the # ID after the "c"
should be BL color ID, but alas that would be a huge undertaking for the Catalog
system. Here is the list of the current 973p90new2* catalog entries: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?pg=1&q=973p90new2%2A&catLike=W&v=1

I'm curious about the reason of the deletion.

| I've created (pending) items for the contents of gear: snowkit01 and snowkit02.
Originally, I was thinking that gear wasn't normally assigned a color, but
now I see that there are actually similar items where color is assigned (i.e.
gear 853870). Wondering if this is a case where most of these items should have
a color assigned instead of having color in the name of the item? I'm imagining
a hopeful future where Lego creates more of these upscaled parts in other colors.
Perhaps it gets trickier when an item consists of multiple parts/colors permanently
attached, as in pending gear: UpscaledFlag
I originally took my cue from items: 851400, 853465, 853637, 853439, 853709 all
being different colors / decorations of what otherwise appears to be the same
item.
Just starting to make some catalog contributions, and probably getting into the
weeds. But just want to be consistent.
Thanks!

|
| All -
The catalog team is happy to announce that we have made another step towards
one-to-one color correspondence with the official LEGO colors that have been
used over time.
These new BrickLink colors will be specifically useful for those Bionicle collectors
out there, but they will also allow any other color collectors to complete their
collections easier.
Being as these colors are unique to Bionicle and are similar to other established
colors, they have all been given the designator "Bionicle" in their BrickLink
names.
So without further ado, the new BrickLink colors are:
----------
Bionicle Copper -
This color will only be used for a direct one-to-one relationship with LEGO color
176 Red Flip/Flop: https://www.flickr.com/photos/126975831@N07/15123159082/
----------
Bionicle Gold -
This color will only be used for a direct one-to-one relationship with LEGO color
178 Yellow Flip/Flop: https://www.flickr.com/photos/126975831@N07/15123158122/
----------
Bionicle Silver -
This color will only be used for a direct one-to-one relationship with LEGO color
178 Yellow Flip/Flop: https://www.flickr.com/photos/126975831@N07/15100531986/
----------
BrickLink is the first official LEGO marketplace / fan site / software outside
of LEGO itself to recognize *and* use these colors. Peeron recognized them in
the past, but they never used them for anything.
We have already made all of the appropriate changes in the catalog to the part
images and set inventories that were affected by these additions, so they are
ready for use by all.
Enjoy!
Cheers,
Randy

|
| All -
I would like to start a compilation of dual-molded parts that are in the catalog
so that we can start to get an idea of the scope of what a reorganization project
for these parts would entail.
I obviously do not have access to even a small fraction of the parts in the catalog,
so I cannot visually check every part for dual molding. I also do not have the
time to scan the entire catalog for everything.
Therefore, I would like to make this a community effort.
If you notice a dual-molded part in a new set, see one sitting in your collection,
see one sitting in your store inventory, see one laying on your desk, find one
stuck between your toes in the middle of the night, etc., I want to know what
it is. This especially includes parts that pertain to any kind of minifigures
or mini dolls. Please make absolutely sure that the part is molded in more than
one color of plastic and not just painted. This is very important!
Since this compilation will very likely entail a large number of parts, I would
like to get these in larger batches in the beginning.
So if you would like to help out, please find a number of them before posting,
then please post them here in a list as a reply to this thread. I will then take
the batches and begin to make a master list on a catalog help page that can be
reviewed by all.
Once we have a good number of these determined, we can begin to see if we can
tackle this issue is a more structured way.
I hope if you have read this far, that you will join in.
Thanks,
Randy

| Hi, Sticker sheet (Item# 641stk01) for set 641-1 Excavator shows 4 stickers.
2 of the stickers clearly fit on the Minifigs vest, but the other 2 are dimension
2 studs wide and 1 stud height.
The instructions for set 641-1 show the application, and picture of actual Excavator,
of 2 stickers on the side applied to the 3 yellow plates. This sticker size is
1 stud wide and 1 stud height.
I'm questioning, is this the correct sticker sheet for the Set, or is there
2 versions of the sticker sheet for the set.
I bought a box of old lego parts and in it was this set which had the 2 (2 stud
wide) stickers applied to the 2x4 yellow brick at the back, and this is where
my question originates from.
kind regards

| Regarding 3003 Transparent colors, why are they not more correctly cataloged
as 3003old (without inside support bars)? It would seem this is inconsistent
with the opaque colors that can easily be defined by the inclusion or absence
of these support bars.

Red is an example but this argument applies to all the transparent colors including

The same goes for gb002 and gb002i, so-on, so-forth. I do not think this is correct.
These "minifigures" are in fact the same minifigure. It only appeared in one
set and from looking at the instructions the minifigure is built as gb001i (with
