| Dear BrickLink members,
This is a reminder that buying and selling privileges will be revoked for all
mainland Chinese buyers and sellers on August 1st, 2024. For sellers, please
be aware that all orders must be in ‘Completed’ status by September 30th, 2024,
at which point your stores will be permanently closed.
All mainland Chinese member accounts will be deleted on September 30th, 2024.
Please make sure that your records are in order before this date.
BrickLink is a global community, and we appreciate our members from all over
the world. Our global member base requires us to stay compliant with various
national laws across these different regions. Unfortunately, this sometimes has
a negative impact on the BrickLink community at large.
Please read our FAQ for more information: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2643

| Dear BrickLink members,
Today is the first day that you can submit additional information that is needed
for the DAC7 reporting directive. EU DAC7 regulation requires BrickLink to start
collecting additional information and documents from our sellers in the EU.
To qualify for DAC7 reporting, you should meet at least one of the two criteria:
a. 30 or more sales through the BrickLink platform within one calendar year,
excluding orders that have been cancelled within the same year;
b. Total sales in the amount of EUR 2,000 or more within one calendar year. This
amount only includes item cost totals and not shipping and other additional costs.
All required information should be submitted through the Seller Verification
page: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/mystore/registration.page (only accessible
for the sellers in the EU). Your store will still be open while your Seller Verification
request is being reviewed by the administration, even if we request additional
information or ask you to resubmit your request.
We will also be sending out personal invitations to sellers to submit their Seller
Verifications. These emails will be sent out to some sellers before others with
the goal to relieve the load on our administration and to ensure that all requests
are handled in a timely manner.
The deadline for all eligible EU sellers is November 30, 2024. However, we encourage
you to go ahead and submit your Seller Verification at your first convenience
if your store matches the criteria that we mentioned above.
For more details on the DAC7 directive and the information that is required,
refer to our DAC7 FAQ page: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2645.
Thank you,
The BrickLink Team

| Dear BrickLink members,
Unfortunately, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to stop BrickLink operations
in mainland China. Due to required compliance with Chinese legislation, we will
delete all BrickLink member accounts based in mainland China on September 30th,
2024.
To be compliant with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's
Republic of China (PIPL), all personal information generated in mainland China
must be held within mainland China. Since BrickLink doesn’t have a separate platform
based in China, we can’t comply with this data privacy requirement.
Buying and selling privileges for these members will be revoked on August 1st,
2024. Affected members were informed about this change earlier today.
We love our global community and appreciate all of you. Please read our FAQ for
more information: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2643

| Dear BrickLink sellers,
As the next step in making sure that we are in compliance with the EU DAC-7 regulations,
we will start collecting additional information from BrickLink Sellers shortly.
To see if you qualify as a Business Seller, please check with Article 8ac of
the EU Council Directive: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX%3A32021L0514
Information that we will be collecting includes the following:
- Name of business,
- Business registration number, including a supporting document. As different
rules
apply for each EU member state, refer to your local authority for directions,
- Tax Identification Number (TIN), including a supporting document: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/tin/#/check-tin
- OSS Number and/ or VAT ID for each country of registration:
https://taxation-customs.ec.europa.eu/online-sellers_en
You may be aware that we already started requesting this from new Business Sellers
last year. For more details, go to our previous forum post regarding DAC-7: https://www.bricklink.com/messageThread.asp?ID=332298.
We are now starting the process of collecting this information for all of our
existing Business Sellers.
Existing Business Sellers should add this information to their accounts by December
31, 2024. After submission, documents will be reviewed by BrickLink.
To ensure that everyone’s requests are handled in a consistent and timely manner,
we will be requesting account updates in waves, by country. We strongly advise
our members to add information to their accounts by the deadline for their corresponding
countries. We will be sending out emails with further details and instructions
for each country in accordance with a schedule. We recommend that you start collecting
the required documentation as soon as possible and await further instructions
for how to add this to your account.
Kind Regards,
The BrickLink Team

| Dear BrickLink sellers,
Starting from today, we will be accepting monthly seller fee payments made in
2 ways, instead of 3 as before:
1. Paid with your PayPal account by using the 'Pay with PayPal' button
on your Fees page,
2. Paid with a debit or credit card by using the 'Pay with Card' link
on your Fees page.
Seller fee payments that are sent to our PayPal account at billing@bricklink.com
will not be accepted anymore except for cases when sellers need to pay off their
remaining balance immediately.
Usually, this happens when
a) Sellers are closing their stores temporarily or permanently,
b) Sellers have an outstanding balance that is below the annual threshold for
collection. Accounts like that are billed on December 5th every year, more about
this here: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=38 in the Minimum Bill Requirement
section.
Please reach out to us or comment here if you have any questions.
Thank you,
The BrickLink Team

| Dear BrickLink members,
After the acquisition of BrickLink in 2019, we’ve continued to deepen and broaden
our relationship and service to the AFOL community. Throughout this transition,
we’ve kept conscious of the fact that BrickLink represents the LEGO® brand in
a much more direct way than before.
We have identified a need to bring our Terms of Service closer to LEGO brand
guidelines regarding restricted content. The implementation of these guidelines
will specifically affect the Studio Gallery, meaning all military/modern warfare-themed,
religious, and alcohol-centric MOCs will be set to “Private” and removed from
public view.
We will continue to support BrickLink members by improving features and encouraging
creativity. In order to do that, we need to ensure that publicly displayed MOCs
in the Studio Gallery adhere to our brand guidelines. MOCs containing restricted
content can still be uploaded in “Private” mode for your own personal purposes.
These guidelines will take effect on January 31st. At this time, a new
upload flow for submitting to the Studio Gallery will be released, enforcing
these guidelines for all future MOCs. Simultaneously, the Designer Terms of Service
(https://www.bricklink.com/v3/terms_of_service_designer.page) will be updated
and the “Military” category in the Studio Gallery will be removed.
Currently displayed MOCs that do not comply with the updated guidelines will
remain visible for two weeks. They will be set to “Private” mode starting on
February 12th, but they will not be deleted from the platform.
This change to the Studio Gallery guidelines is, admittedly, an impactful adjustment
for some users. While many MOCs will be removed from public view, thousands more
remain for you to discover and build for yourself.
You can read more about the updated Studio Gallery guidelines in our Studio Help

registration information in their store settings. For these sellers, VAT will
not be added to their monthly fees.
