| Hi there,
I am currently separating different horse types from each other - there are a
few hundred of them here with me.
I found my way through all the colours and types until the simple white horse
-
here on BL it has 4493c01pb04 - white horse with Black Eyes, White Pupils
and DARK ORANGE bridle Pattern .
On brick owl the same Item number says "white horse blabla eyes and BROWN
bridle. (the picture looks very much like dark orange)
I have a lot of them, and some sure look brown, some sure dark orange (I dont
think it is just faded)
but there seems to be no distinction in the item number...
if I want to sell them - do I put both under the same item number???
thanks a lot for your help!!

| So on my colour chart here, you have from top left down, old light grey, new
light grey, new dark grey and then old dark grey.
So what colour are the 2 4085a in the middle. They never were released in old
dark grey, but they dont really look old light grey.
I of course know there is colour variations across all colours but i have never
really seen this in the old greys before.
Not sure if i should sell them as light grey as they aren't really.
Any advice appreciated.

| Is there a way to see all available Lego parts in a specific colour - either
here on BL or other sites?
Rather than searching for individual pieces that might not exist in a certain
colour, I'd like to see the parts that are available/do exist to help with
MOCs.

| This has been bugging me for a while. Many years ago the color of the rendering
images was changed. Ever since, I have had trouble telling the difference between
some color images. I know others complained about it also. Because of this,
I make mistakes when pulling the right color parts.
I have no trouble telling the difference between any colors of real bricks or
any of the photo images. It is only the part renderings. Maybe if enough people
can't tell either, we can get it changed to something that is easier to see.
So, who can tell the difference between these two images? One is white and one
is LBG. They are screen shots of rendered parts without any editing. What say
you?

| Hey all, I've googled this but didn't find anything...
Are there variations in trans-light blue? I've got all my trans light blue
1x1 round plates from sealed seats I've bought in local stores and parted
out according to the BrickLink catalog. I can see two distinct batches, a lighter
and a darker variant, often inside the same set. Is this a known "issue" or are
the part listings wrong and it's actually a different color?
Thanks,

| So I started working on a new, more compact color guide a few weeks ago. This
is what I got so far.
As of right now I am missing some pretty easy 1x2 plate or tile entries for Nougat,
Light Nougat, Sand Green and Brown.
Then I may have to get a little creative to fit these on there:
Very Light Bluish Gray
Rust
Blue Violet
Light Violet
Sand Purple
Dark Blue Violet
Light Yellow
I haven't really started looking at the more unique colors like trans and
metallic colors. I'll tackle those once I finish with the solid colors
I'd love to know what others think and if they have any better suggestions
for parts to use for the colors I listed or suggestions on additional colors
that I might be able to add that I didn't list.
Also if anyone knows a good way to arrange all the colors that's a little
more "smooth" on the gradient (more like a rainbow) than what I did, that would
be awesome.

bricks included are the right color either. The tall part is confirmed Blue-violet
from set 8781. The two purple-ish pieces are supposed to be Medium Violet and
Light Purple. While I believe one of them might be Medium Violet, 1) I don't
know which one it would be and 2) I'm fairly sure the second is not Light

He sent this pic, claiming the ones on the right are trans orange. I read somewhere
that trans neon orange has changed over the years. Is this just a case of old

I also included a pic of the three shades of orange I have in the round brick.
Is it old TNO, new TNO and TO?

| Hi!
We sold some used trans-neon bricks 1x1 and the buyer is saying that they are
not trans-neon orange because they do not glow under black light.
Unless we're mistaken, the new trans-neon orange does not glow under black
light, are we wrong here? I remember the bricks as I listed them not too long
ago and I had compared the color to trans-neon orange we had from brand new sets
parted out and to some trans-orange again from parted out brand new lego sets
and the color was not trans-orange, it had the reddish tinge that the trans-neon
orange has but it's not 'milky' like the old trans-neon orange.
Are we mistaken? If we are we will correct our assumptions but we seem to recall
seeing a discussion about trans-neon orange but can't find it at the moment.

| After looking through posts, some users said that “color may vary” means that
the second more detailed image of the part is just showing the same part, but
in a different color, but others said it meant other things. Does “color may
vary” mean the color is random and not the color that it is listed as? One user
said that it meant that the color of the part might be slightly different because
lego is not consistent with colors, for example, two white bricks and one is
a more little tan-ish if you hold it up to a light and look closely.

I have a huge dilemma.
Yes, I know that I can do what I like when it comes to my own LEGO, and I really
NEED to find out the best way to get 2 specific parts coloured to the colour
I need.
I've built a Harry Potter "Knight Bus" in the same manner as the Creator
"London Bus" set, and this has been 99% successful, with the exception of this
part:-
This element NEEDS to be in Dark Purple
As I'm based in the UK, I really need to find the nearest and best product
to use to get this covered in Dark Purple (paint, or even some kind of wrap/lacquer)
Other than trying to get someone to 3-D print one, I'm stuck.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,

I want to understand the logic behind the color names.
Why medium lavender is not dark lavender?
Medium suppose to be lighter than the main color, isn't it?
Like medium green, medium orange, medium blue and medium brown.
The medium lavender is much darker than lavender, so the name for it should be
dark lavender.
What do you think?

It's bugged me a while now that the Bionicle eye stalk piece that is included

more of a neon red-magenta color. As far as I know there are no other pieces

a new color just for one piece, but it may cause confusion for some that the

from year to year. Then you have the time factor, sun fading, etc. I took several
pictures of my light gray bricks and I placed a new light bluish gray brick on
top that I took from a recent star wars set. My question to the group is. Are
all these bricks light gray? Should I even bother trying to sell a set with this

until 2009, long after old dark gray was phased out. I am certain it not discolored
from sun exposure, because the color is uniform on all areas of the part. And
I doubt it is just a variation in color due to its material, because it is VERY
close in color to other dark gray parts. Any ideas?

someone defected from LEGO and took the color recipes with them!! The latest
batch I got at auction is loaded with them. I used to be able to tell the difference
just by looking at them. The colors were always just a little off, and many didn't
come in anything close to the LEGO colors. I have had to check every single piece
of this latest batch because the colors are almost identical! And pieces that
didn't come in the oh-so-close LEGO colors now do!! The colors are so close
that I've had to look at the smaller pieces under a magnifying glass to check
for the LEGO logo! It's frustrating to pay for what I think is a box of LEGO
only to find more than 3/4 are knock-offs!!
If anyone else is buying their stock at auction or at Thrift stores, check very
carefully that what you have is genuine LEGO.

| Hi, I've got this bionicle-mask and I'm wondering what color it is.
I'm guessing copper but I'm not sure...I don't have anything else
in that color.
When I'm looking at the color info for this part (Item no: 32571) I can choose
from copper and metallic gold, it seems too dark for gold. On the picture it
is next to pearl gold and reddish brown.
What do you think?? Thanks!

| Now that TLG has acquired BL, isn't it about time that we set about resolving
conflicting colour names? The flesh/nougat adjustment shows that it's possible,
so when are we going to rename BL Dark Green to Earth Green?
Obviously there are many others which need aligned over time, but currently Dark
Green should be an immediate priority.

| Hi,
So I'd like someone to have a look at this and see if I am going mad please.
Have a look at the first picture without looking at the second you will see both
parts stuck together look identical in colour. Both are brown. Now look at the
second picture the same part Plate 1x1 with the design on that side of it is
listed only as reddish brown and never as brown. Should this not be listed as
brown?
Kind regards

| Hey Bricklink Community,
I am in the middle of getting pieces that I am missing from my Lego sets I have
had since I was a kid. I ordered a bunch of pieces from the Lego Store. 5 pieces
I need are 4 grey pieces and 1 brown. The ones I got from the Lego Store are
not the right color of grey or brown. The grey medium stone grey and brown reddish
brown.
The sets I need the pieces for are from the 90's. On toysperiod.com they
say the pieces that I need are old grey and old brown. As I look through the
stores on this site I'm not sure which color name they fit under. If anyone
can help me out that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

| Hi,
The Color Guide download shows Black as RGB 212121 and Dark Brown as 510000
This makes Dark Brown darker than Black
I would expect Black to be RGB 000000
Why is that?
Thx,

But I do have part 003 in both noen yellow and trans (light?)yellow. I was lucky

| This is mainly for the colour fanatics here.
Had a largish haul of parts with a lot of Dark Pink bricks. Whilst sorting I
found quite a few sun damaged so just binned as I found them. But just had another
look at one and I don't think it is sun damage after all. It has totally
changed colour and completely consistent throughout. I would say this is the
same as the 'brittle blue' thing. Attached an image so show different
(photo doesn't quite capture it perfectly). Another one I'll add to
my ever-growing collection of weird Lego colours.

yellow marking then I see in the photo...and the other issue is the paint is
only on the center raised portion and above the black mask. It DOES NOT go to
the left and right of the raised center as shown in the picture. I hope I described
it so you can understand. The helmet is marked lego so I know it is authentic.

| While going through some bulk Lego for inventory I came across something different.
In my bin of "Arm Mechanical, Straight with Clips at 90 degrees (Vertical Grip)"
Item No. 59230, I have one that is similar to the tan ones, but obviously different.
When comparing the color to those in Bartneck's Color Guide, it appears
to be more of a "yellowish tan". Did Lego have two different tan's? Or
does tan age toward orange? Or is there another color not noted on that item?
The image doesn't really show the difference.

but in preparation here is a photo of some pink parts.
The parts on the left are LEGO Light Reddish Violet. The parts on the

Rose is commonly called "Paradisa Pink" and is often sold as "Light Pink" on
BrickLink.
I am not sure if BrickLink's Light Pink actually exist. I suspect many are

| Hi,
I've just had an order for 6 x 4073 Trans-Dark Pink's
When I picked them, 4 of them are visibly lighter than the other 2.
Does that mean 4 of them are actually Trans Pink, or is this just some variation
in the color?
According to the catalog, Trans Pink doesn't appear in any set, but there
are some sellers that have it listed.
I traced those 4 back to where I got them from, and it seems they came out of
(sealed) set 10717.
How (or what) should I explain this to the buyer?
Photo: Left plate, right brick and 2 middle 4073's are Trans-Dark Pink, the
4 others are lighter. I have nothing else in Trans Pink to compare this with.

| Hello Bricklinkers
I’d like to consult the oracle over a colour mystery. I have got all my LEGO
stash out to check my sets and catologue missing parts, and when I opened 6206,
which was bagged up and in the original box, and had been kept in the dark, I
noticed that some of the blue pieces (specifically 4871, some 2x1 slopes, 4x2
plates and the 4x1 tiles) are a different blue. It is more like a greeny turquoise
type colour. I’m wondering what has gone on here. There is a small chance that
at some point these might have been switched with parts from my nephew’s collection
(it’s a long story) but I have searched on part 4871 and can’t find anything
that might have contained it in a greeny colour. Could it be fading? It’s seems
too uniform and too new of a kit for that, plus they have been stored in the
dark. Can anyone shed any light on this? I enclose a photo which I hope shows
what I mean. It’s not coming out as well as it does to the naked eye.

So please be friendly on me if I got something interlay wrong here.
I have charts with the official LEGO color id on, I see charts online that are
from LEGO with numbers on tiles and then we have the color guide here on BL.
Can somebody help me and explain to me why those numbers don't match ?
Why is the color ID in BL colorguide not the same as the color ID on the LEGO
chart and then sometimes it is??
Example of not the same:
light blueish gray - BL color 86 - LG color 194 ??
example of the same:
white - BL color 1 - LG color 001 ??

| So, I recently placed an order at S&H to get the DOTS bracelets, and some other
stuff, and I accidentally found these key chains. The pictures are terrible and
totally inaccurate, but the descriptions intrigued me; iridescent and metallized
key chains?
I didn't know what to expect, but I put them in my shopping cart. This is
what I got, and I couldn't be more delighted. The iridescent one is especially
stunning. I put Sweet Mayhem there too because of her similarly holographic hair.
I have a full review with more pictures for those of you who are interested:
http://thebrickblogger.com/2020/03/lego-iridescent-blue-chrome-black-key-chains/
Neither of these key chains are in the BrickLink database as of yet, but if they
do get added I recommend replacing LEGO's stock images with actual photos.
They are too beautiful to be hidden like that. I think 2x4 collectors would be
very interested.

The neon colours glow under a black light (if you don't have a black light
and have never seen this then invest in one and be amazed!) but these don't,
which makes me wonder whether (a) the colour is listed wrong or (b) I bought
counterfeit Lego which doesn't have the neon qualities and is just a colour
match.
Does anybody elses glow under a black light?

| When changes like flesh2nougat are made, what are the effects on the usage of
