When I find a cardboard sleeve I get it in the catalog before I open it to inventory it. I assumed there were bands or something in here, but I was really surprised when I opened it that it contains parts not in the inventory. Unlike the sleeve with the minifigs capes, this sleeve was sealed inside Bag #1.

Looks like a packaging error to me. This cardboard sleeve belongs to

Sealed Set, Pics following.

I didn't forget that I was looking for undetermined bricks, but the bags
are almost entirely painted, so I couldn't get a shot. But that pic was
taken immediately after opening the sealed bag.

I originally purchased this set when it was still in production, and since I
have purchased the more recent version, I've decided to sell the old one.
Interestingly when I look up the inventory to decide whether to part it out
or list it as a complete set, I see the inventory is in light gray. I know that
the set was produced in both gray colors as they were switching over at the time.
I have the LBG version. I see that the complete sets in light gray seem to
be in more demand, while the parts in LBG are much more expensive, yet have very
low 6 month sale totals. Just curious if anyone knows some history/demand for
these two variants? Seems there is not much sense parting out it in LBG if there
is no demand.

Comments from Submitter:
It is obvious from the instruction booklet that the triple plume (4502b) version is essential for the mini figures, but the small and large plumes are not visible and there is no place other than the knight's helmets for them to go. Are they truly part of the original set?

Part No: 4093d Name: Train Base 6 x 28 with 11 Round Holes Each End
*
4093d Train Base 6 x 28 with 11 Round Holes Each End
Parts: Train
was the earliest version, produced for productions between 11th-24th week in
1980 for the market of Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Finland,
Norway. We have seen this part with this and two other trains produced in 1980
in multiple used copies and are already confident that this part was used in
early 1980 for these three trains (7740 and two other sets)
Since 1981, the production of this train was doubled, to be sold also in other
European countries like UK, Italy, France. This means 4093d approximately appeared
in only 1/27=3.7% of total copies of this train.
One of the exceptions for an early variation of a part to be added to the alternate

When the scarcity of the earliest variant is high enough that it is unlikely
to be found in a sealed set, then it may be placed in this section.

So I request to add this part as alternate.

The only other affected inventory should be 45517-2. For that one, I'd suggest either changing to the new part entry or adding the new entry as an alternate.

I bought the set for the third time and got a perfect referee on the extras.
This time it didn't have EITHER of the extras.

* Change 2 Part Chrome Silver clikits275 Clikits Icon Accent, Plastic Star 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 with Holographic Grid of Squares Pattern {match ID 0 to 2}
* Change {3 to 2} Part Light Purple clikits064 Clikits Icon Accent, Paper Star 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 with Holographic Overlapping Circles Pattern
* Change 4 Part Chrome Silver clikits064 Clikits Icon Accent, Paper Star 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 with Holographic Overlapping Circles Pattern {match ID 0 to 3}

Comments from Submitter:
So last time I had 3 light purple 064 and 5 purple 110. This time it is 2 and 6. Assuming that the lower of each is the goal and each set had a different extra brings the part count in line with the official. On the chrome silver 4 3/4 stars, I got 2 of each this time. The other variants were complete switchouts. I think Lego probably considered the variants to be the same thing.

6099p03 is shown as a alternative item but it is the regular as seen in the picture of the box. The other image showing the 2 plates, shows 5101 but it is not the same landing pad as the box.

The box shown is the 1983 version of the packaging, which is when part 6099p03
was introduced. The original 1979 packaging shows 6099px2.

It's probable that somewhere between 1979 and 1983 the set shipped with 6099pb01,
but I haven't found evidence for this as yet.

Hello, I'm sure the part exists but can't find it in the modified bricks.

I'm looking for the reverse of #2458 (1x2 with pin) a 1x2 brick with a hole
instead of a pin.

That does not seem to exist in the catalog. How do I go about adding it or telling

Should we add a note to set 641-1 to explain that it can come with different
instruction and sticker sheet?

How can I modify inventory for minifig?

You can see the problem there:
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=3840pb01&in=M

Actually, I mispoke. It's this set here:

Set No: 670 Name: Mobile Crane
*
670-1 (Inv) Mobile Crane
46 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 1978
Sets: Town: Classic Town: Construction
There is a note about the change in parts, but without having two sticker entries
confirmed for that set, it would be hard to add the sticker info into the two
"versions".

The problem with this set is there is a lack of evidence. You can look up on
swooshable to see some other things I've written about it there.

Just be aware that the issue with those early stickers is really tricky. For
that one power shovel set you referenced:

My bad, I accidentally left the setting on 'Regular' before submitting
- this should still be an 'Alternate' part.

Mind you, it would help if this field - like all the others - did not have a
default value...

Okay, so we won't be changing item numbers at the moment. I have added that
portion of the project to the Catalog Roadmap (currently item 30):

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2476

We also will not address Type 1/Type 2 items with this project. That has been
added as a separate project.

At first try to weight the whole set and check the BL weight.

Otherwise this link may help you too.https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/lego-star-wars-7662-trade-federation-459893715

Comments from Submitter:
https://forum.brickpirate.net/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=24109 shows 2412a. Set in my personal collection has 2412b so both variants should be in this inventory.

Unfortunately it is not clear if the parts used to build the set for that review
are original. They are definitly not new (at least the technic axle has clearly
visible signs of usage) and the user "TOOL" mentioned somewhere in another review
thread that he sometimes uses two copies of a set for the reviews (a new one
to show the sealed bags and a used one to show the parts and the completed model).
Therefore in this case I would not consider the photos as a reliable source.

Regards,
Jonas

I don't see any parts in that review that look particularly used. The Technic
axle has visible plastic flow lines in it, but I don't see any wear on it.

I have never seen anything like that on a new axle, but you may be right and
then everything is fine.

(Nevertheless I suggest to be careful with pics from that source. Here we can
see the wrong variant

Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 6667 Name: Pothole Patcher
*
6667-1 (Inv) Pothole Patcher
91 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 1993
Sets: Town: Classic Town: Traffic

* Add 5 Part 2412a Light Gray Tile, Modified 1 x 2 Grille without Bottom Groove / Lip (match ID 2)
* Change 5 Part Light Gray 2412b Tile, Modified 1 x 2 Grille with Bottom Groove / Lip {Regular to Alternate} {match ID 0 to 2}

Jonas

Congratulations on being the first person to get a true Dark Nougat part into
an inventory!

I scrambled for it.

I knew you would.

Hello, I have two different versions of the slope 3297, some smooth and some
with a rough surface. Is there a single entry for both?

My preferred option is to let your SQL guy (that is if you have one. Our belief
from the Chicago round table discussion was that none of the developers at that
time had any SQL experience whatsoever) spend 10 minutes producing your query
(9 minutes for understanding the table and 1 minute for writing the query. Once
the results are in front of you it might be possible for your sql guy to write
an update query to do all the updates at once.

This is almost as simple as changing colour names from one to another

Of course changes should be made on DB directly with write logs into "change-log
table" as well (to have an history of what is made)

But for that, you need SQL guy (not your nephew) and "real" database.
Please don't play with Excel

No fears I am not a programmer and neither is he - we leave it to those that
have a passion for it.

How can I say?
The "you" on my messages was not directed to a specific person,it's addressed
