Unfortunately I haven't seen one of these yet. It would be interesting to
see whether there is actually no info at all there, or whether the info is somehow
"invisible" because of some badly placed HTML code (and your browser decided
"let me fix that for ya"), special characters in the name, etc.

And yes, "it would be interesting" only applies to techies, for others I fully
understand the "fix it already!" standpoint.

Same here. Apparently, if you fill your cart before logging in, it can happen.
It's been a problem for at least a week. I really hope they fix it soon,
sales are bad enough as it is.

Recently, my orders pages(both personal and seller) do not save, even temporarily,
my preference for the old version. I will select "view classic version", will
click away (or just re-select that order page from the top), and it will be back
at the new version. Previously, I would set it as classic, and it would be good
until I cleared the browser history. Now, it won't even save within the session.
I will say I did just (not by choice) update to Firefox 89. 89 broke a bunch
of stuff, and this simply may be another thing. I would still like to know of
course if there is a fix, or something known about the issue.

too and there about a half would be without VAT sales.

I do not have dimension requirements, or a byepass password. I have no idea what
BrickLink is doing/wants/how to remedy this issue. Anyone have a helpful tips?

You could also ask the buyer what is in their cart, then go check your inventory
to see if any of those items have dimensions that are out of whack. Override
the dimensions, so that they are correct, and it should solve the problem.

Indeed, thanks. A seller should have an option to select whether the shop uses

Like we discussed in another thread as well. I just hope all of these situations

Indeed.  And as it’s how it works (taxes are added, not removed), that’s how
I remembered it working.
But if it worked the other way (removing) and BL needed to change it, then what

_IF_ you’re using buyer’s rate because you are over the 10k€ limit or because
you chose so.
If you’re below the limit you can still use your domestic rate.

Not exactly.

A. The For Sale column.

It should show 1.20 to me, because it’s a for sale price and it’s the law (and
it shows me 1.00 from US sellers).
I don’t think it can show 1.0 in the For Sale column.

B. The Sold column.

For now, it shows 1.19 if you sold it to a German buyer and 1.00 if you sold
it to a US buyer, because it’s what they paid (the thread started because, formerly,
it showed 1.19 for a US buyer with a EU seller, which was wrong).

I’m not sure BL can show 1.00 for both cases (real German and US buyers), but:
1. it would be a lie to show 1.20 for both (as in, “if you had been the buyer,
you’d have paid this price”),
2. if it does, the psychological bias will be hard to compensate: you see one
column with 1.2 (because the law), the other with 1.0, you may “know” it would
have cost you 1.2 if you had been the buyer, but it’s like 9.99 prices: you “know”
it’s actually 10 but it’s very hard not to think 9.

Hi,

nice to hear. Will the change in VAT collection also include Norway?
As you might know, Norway is not exactly member of EU, but participate in many
EU-regulations.
Including VOEC and IOSS.

Since EU-Government has not explained anything to anyone about that change yet,
I expect a lot of confusion and frustration not only on BL within the next weeks
and month.

A detailed explanation on how to mark shipments properly in order to avoid double-taxing
would be extremely helpful.

As a buyer, I am very unsure about the whole thing just right now, and will probably
not buy from abroad until things have evolved and established.

  Uh?  It’s BL that lists the prices in the Price Guide.  It’s the BL VAT mechanism
that decides who sees VAT-inclusive prices or not.
The VAT-registered sellers who use the BL VAT mechanism DO already list their
base price exclusive of VAT.

  Anyway, I don’t see how that would change what the PG shows & should show.  By
law, for sale items from EU sellers should have VAT included for EU viewers (buyers
or sellers) and I’m not sure you can add VAT on for sale items from non-EU sellers,
even if BL collects the VAT on them if the total order is below 150€.  On the

Indeed. The psychological part is also due to the fact that prices in the EU

Uh?  It’s BL that lists the prices in the Price Guide.  It’s the BL VAT mechanism
that decides who sees VAT-inclusive prices or not.
The VAT-registered sellers who use the BL VAT mechanism DO already list their
base price exclusive of VAT.
Or are you instructing the few VAT-registered sellers who do not use the BL VAT
mechanism to use it?

Anyway, I don’t see how that would change what the PG shows & should show.  By
law, for sale items from EU sellers should have VAT included for EU viewers (buyers
or sellers) and I’m not sure you can add VAT on for sale items from non-EU sellers,
even if BL collects the VAT on them if the total order is below 150€.  On the

You need an Onsite payment method (PayPal Onsite or Stripe), so that BL can
add and collect the 20% UK VAT on imported goods between £0 and £135.

Above £135, BL doesn’t have to collect the UK VAT (the buyer will pay on reception,
with a £8 fee from Royal Mail, and maybe other duty (2.5%?)).

I believe this isn't a technical bug. In the current state it's behaving
exactly as intended. The only issue is that it isn't very convenient for
people with more than about 20 wanted lists.

Hence my suggestion to move this change I could really use to the Suggestions

When you have many lists, there's a scroll mechanism that kills the right
side: it goes out of the window. then disappear. so you lose the button and the
relevant data. see pics

Notice how the recent lists always show last, bottom of list, I think the user
probably will need to scroll down there.

To counter this, I suggest to disable the scrollbar on right side, and make the
list scrollable, alone.
Or
Glue the right side in place, so it doesn't move while the rest does.

Agree.
There are many more fields where input values are not checked against the required/allowed
values. But changing it would be another story given the fact that large parts
of BL code were made in the nineties of the previous century.

As a programmer myself, I can imagine the headaches this is causing to the admins.

I had an order 90 minutes ago that still has not posted. Fortunately it's
a postal holiday so it's no biggie today, but if that happened tomorrow I'd
be leaving work right about now and the order would have to wait another day
to ship. I've seen it happen a few times now for a few minutes, but never
this long.

This happens a lot; just need to wait and go back into PayPal later. It's
not specific to BL - I see the delays in PayPal from other payments too.

This item does not exist in your cart.
This item is no longer available in this store


I can't checkout and when I leave the store and come back, all is back to
what it was (with the quantity I wanted to order).

Did you clear the cache and cookies?

Yes, didn't resolve the problem. Nothing did.
So I emptied the whole Shoppingcart. This Seller has to wait until I have time
to start over going through my huge wanted list.

Yes, I have had this happen. It also was on a zero feedback user. Looking at
the filed order, still no name showing and the user now has a feedback of 2.

Look carefully at their PayPal, or Stripe, payment for signs of anything odd.

an Nvidia RTX 3070 and is practically brand new along with the computer itself

I can't request a quote. Each time I try I get an error that says "Technical
Problem Continue shopping in this store"

I've tried it with multiple sellers. It's like that for a few days now.
I got an account since 2016 and it only started in the last few days.

I wound up issuing the refund in Paypal and then came back and had Bricklink
find it and apply it to the order.

So i found that one of the manuals i added last was for a large set. after i
dropped it off it allowed me to place the order. Guess it had something to do
with sizing as you described.

and sellers can also overrule them with their own dimensions.

Don't know if that is here the case (which instructions are it), or that
the seller has some strict dimensional limitations on shipping to Canada.

it says 'item information missing or incomplete' whenever the buyer
try to put it through.

There is a limit at the number of store pages you can browse each day, and you
seem to have run into this limit every day.

This limit is actually set rather low, too low in my opinion. It may be set to
prevent web scraping, but I'd like Bricklink to comment on this.

This went through the instant checkout.

While I have done local pickup (no shipping) in the past for some orders, it's
not a shipping option you can select in my checkout.

for VAT. These aren't documented yet.

The new fields are:

Thanks ErwinNL, your example works very fine in a standalone way, with my keys.
The problem comes perhaps with my environment. Thank you for the trying. Notice:
the value of parameter $isDevelopmentdid ot change anything. It worked in both
cases.

I had some more time to look into the code, I made my own signer in C# and had
to encode some of the oauth_ parameters like oauth_nonce and oauth_timestamp
because I also had bad signature results and this fixed it for me:

AddOAuthParameter(OAuthConstants.TIMESTAMP, OAuthEncoder.Encode(GetTimestamp()));
AddOAuthParameter(OAuthConstants.NONCE, OAuthEncoder.Encode(GetNonce()));

OAuthEncoder.AddOAuthParameter:

// Encode URL
String encoded = HttpUtility.UrlEncode(text, Encoding.UTF8);

// Make escaped chars uppercase
Regex reg = new Regex(@"%[a-f0-9]{2}");
encoded = reg.Replace(encoded, m = m.Value.ToUpperInvariant());
