Do I understand it corrctly that there are only three types recognized by the
cat now?

Part No: 193a2 Name: Minifigure, Headgear Helmet Space / Town with Thin Chin Strap - with Visor Dimples
*
193a2 Minifigure, Headgear Helmet Space / Town with Thin Chin Strap - with Visor Dimples
Parts: Minifigure, Headgear

Part No: 193b2 Name: Minifigure, Headgear Helmet Space / Town with Thick Chin Strap - with Visor Dimples
*
193b2 Minifigure, Headgear Helmet Space / Town with Thick Chin Strap - with Visor Dimples
Parts: Minifigure, Headgear

Part No: 193b1 Name: Minifigure, Headgear Helmet Space / Town with Thick Chin Strap - without Visor Dimples
*
193b1 Minifigure, Headgear Helmet Space / Town with Thick Chin Strap - without Visor Dimples
Parts: Minifigure, Headgear

The first one only came in red, white and light grey according to the cat

However I have several yellow spacefigs that have this type of helmet and not
the one with a thick chin strap (about a quarter of my collection)

That does not match the cat?

Cheers,

Ole

I have 3 of these figures from a new/sealed 75290 set:

Minifig No: sw0554 Name: Bith Musician
*
sw0554 (Inv) Bith Musician
Minifigures: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 4/5/6

The torso print is thicker than with the previous figures from the 2014 Mos Eisley
set (yes, I have the figures from both sets).

Is something like this grounds for splitting the torso entries?

Hello,

I recently was able to grab one of these from a friend who received it from Dell,
does anyone else out there have one? I haven't opened mine yet, but i found
a picture of a built one online, that i will attach. If t isn't in catalog
how would i go about doing that, i have never done it before.

Also, may be willing to trade it.

Thanks, NG

I have three 7931 sets. All are new and factory sealed. However, each set has
a different weight: 743 grams, 821 grams ,and 839 grams. Can someone provide
the weights of their sets for comparison. Thank you!!

I have A genuine Lego mini fig piece which is a reddish brown hair and goggles
combo. I can clearly read the part number on the inside of the stud which is
28149 but when I put this into the search box, it comes up with an error and
no part found.

This is not the first time this has happened and it is very frustrating. Are
there any plans to update the catalogue with such pieces please?

It looks that fake parts are becoming a plague- Many can be indentified quite
easily because of a different colour or slightly different shape. I recently
got two copies of the light bluishgray turntable bottom that have a correct shape
of colour but miss the word LEGO, however have as dot in the cross similar to
LEGO. Now I know from the tiles they have different texts on the bottom so this
may be the same for these parts. Illustrated are two genuine LEGO parts and the
two I doubt about.

Maybe there is someone who can tell me whether this is original, and if they
are fake let this be a warning for everyone.

This is listed as a known color, but is not included in any set or minifig. Where

Hi,

There is a problem with duplo part 2332b, it is not possible to choose a color
different than yellow and tan.

However, this part exists in other colors too (red, medium blue). When adding
to inventory, the only known color is yellow.

I can attest that this piece IS a solid. As opposed to liquid or gas or plasma.
Like everything else in the catalog. But why is it in the name? It makes me
wonder if it was meant to differentiate from hollow. The ones I have are hollow.
Are some not?

What is the purpose of parts that are not listed as being part of any sets or
Minifigures (such as #3626cpb0496; and quite a number of other heads)?
Are they production errors or made exclusively for MOCS?

Hi,

Does part 6222 always have an x axle hole, or could it also have a + axle hole?

If it has both, does it need to be split into 2 variants (6222a/6222b)?

I've noticed that there are parts, particularly Minifigure heads like #3626cpb0496,
which are not listed as appearing in any sets by BrickLink. So then, what is
their purpose?
Are they production errors or are they produced for MOCs?

I have stumbled on a few new part numbers (design IDs) on LEGO's Pick-a-brick.
I can't tell if they are parts that should be considered new variants or
if the part numbers should just be added to the existing parts (suggestion in
parenthesis below). I'll leave that for the admins to decide and do. I'm
adding screenshots because many parts come and go each day on PAB and the catalog
seems to be regional.

The Dark Purple Classic Space torso for the CMF22 series figure 11 (Space Creature)
pictured below contains a classic space torso given a new print ID of 973pb4514c01,
with the emphasis on the print pattern of ID of 973pb4514*, which does not follow
the classic space print torso convention of 973p90* which is used on classic
space torso prints.

Parts: Minifigure, Torso Assembly, Decor.

or the other reissues of the Classic Space figures follow this convention torso
973pb90 ID convention.

I highly suggest changing the 973pb4514c01 to be renamed to 973p90new2c11 which
is the next sequential available color number. Ideally the # ID after the "c"
should be BL color ID, but alas that would be a huge undertaking for the Catalog
system. Here is the list of the current 973p90new2* catalog entries: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?pg=1&q=973p90new2%2A&catLike=W&v=1

For the figure sw0413 Darth Malgus there is only one entry for head 3626bpb0747
Blocked Open Stud. My figure has a hollow stud, therefore 3626cpb0747 should
be added to the catalog and there should be an entry like "This minifigure has
been found with both the 'b' and 'c' style head".

Hi, does anyone happen to have a link to a good help guide to adding new Counterparts
to the Catalog? Unfortunately I don't find the standard BL instructions to
be very helpful as to how to choose the appropriate part# as required for entry.

So, I am working on the inventory for:

to the instruction booklet, backing and all.

I wish LEGO would find a way to protect the sticker sheets. I know they will
send me new stuff when I ask, but...

Anyway, an image of this sticker sheet is needed before it can be added to the

Hi,

I got the set 6041 and the flag has a sticker on both sides.

Was there a sticker version or is this a replica?

The third picture when you go to the part details here on bricklink looks like
a sticker version, and some other pictures as well, but I cannot find anything
written about this.

Thanks

Hello, had a deletion in my shop of the spiked hair in HTF color orange and purple.
Email about counterfeits etc etc. Can't find any info here in the forums.
Noticed all other colors (white/yellow are also gone from others)

I saw some time ago the discussion about deleting M parts (mexican (illegal)
parts), but I've had these spiked hairs 3 years ago, before the trans figs.

I'm curious about the reason of the deletion.

Kind regards,Matth

I have several parts that do NOT seem to have a part number. The studs are clearly
labels LEGO. A description: round (approx 4x4) with 8 studs on top of a circle.
Looks like a cap pistol thing I had 60+ years ago. Any ideas?

Hi,
I submitted a change request to add the 'Sand Green' colour to item#
661pb01 and also uploaded a photo.
The request was rejected and I'm unsure why.
Can you advise me on how I should add the 'Sand green' colour of this
Vehicle.

So, I have these pieces from 6375-2. They are not in the catolog, so I would
like to add them as custom stickered assembly parts, but I cannot find the "custom"
selection on the add inventory screen. I know I have done it in the past.

Can we no longer add these?

I thought about adding it to the catalog, but what part number would I use?

Any advice on getting these pieces in the catalog would be appreciated. Thanks
for looking.

With the sticker of sheet:
Sticker Sheet for Set 41341, Mirrored - (38010/6222288).
The part is not listed in the caralog, at least I think. What to do next?

Dirk.

I've created (pending) items for the contents of gear: snowkit01 and snowkit02.
Originally, I was thinking that gear wasn't normally assigned a color, but
now I see that there are actually similar items where color is assigned (i.e.
gear 853870). Wondering if this is a case where most of these items should have
a color assigned instead of having color in the name of the item? I'm imagining
a hopeful future where Lego creates more of these upscaled parts in other colors.
Perhaps it gets trickier when an item consists of multiple parts/colors permanently
attached, as in pending gear: UpscaledFlag

I originally took my cue from items: 851400, 853465, 853637, 853439, 853709 all
being different colors / decorations of what otherwise appears to be the same
item.

Just starting to make some catalog contributions, and probably getting into the
weeds. But just want to be consistent.

Thanks!
Caleb

All -

The catalog team is happy to announce that we have made another step towards
one-to-one color correspondence with the official LEGO colors that have been
used over time.

These new BrickLink colors will be specifically useful for those Bionicle collectors
out there, but they will also allow any other color collectors to complete their
collections easier.

Being as these colors are unique to Bionicle and are similar to other established
colors, they have all been given the designator "Bionicle" in their BrickLink
names.

So without further ado, the new BrickLink colors are:

----------

Bionicle Copper -

This color will only be used for a direct one-to-one relationship with LEGO color
176 Red Flip/Flop: https://www.flickr.com/photos/126975831@N07/15123159082/

----------

Bionicle Gold -

This color will only be used for a direct one-to-one relationship with LEGO color
178 Yellow Flip/Flop: https://www.flickr.com/photos/126975831@N07/15123158122/

----------

Bionicle Silver -

This color will only be used for a direct one-to-one relationship with LEGO color
178 Yellow Flip/Flop: https://www.flickr.com/photos/126975831@N07/15100531986/

----------

BrickLink is the first official LEGO marketplace / fan site / software outside
of LEGO itself to recognize *and* use these colors. Peeron recognized them in
the past, but they never used them for anything.

We have already made all of the appropriate changes in the catalog to the part
images and set inventories that were affected by these additions, so they are
ready for use by all.

Enjoy!

Cheers,
Randy

When searching for a minifig that included a pie, I kept getting no results.
I even pulled up just the pie, but there were no minifigs associated. Yet, col05-9
requires a pie. What am I doing wrong??

Just out of curiosity, is there any good way to discern between these two catalog
entries?

Part No: 3003pe1 Name: Brick 2 x 2 with Black Eye Offset without White Pattern on Opposite Sides
*
3003pe1 Brick 2 x 2 with Black Eye Offset without White Pattern on Opposite Sides
Parts: Brick, Decorated {White}

Part No: 3003pe2 Name: Brick 2 x 2 with Black Eye Offset with White Pattern on Opposite Sides
*
3003pe2 Brick 2 x 2 with Black Eye Offset with White Pattern on Opposite Sides
Parts: Brick, Decorated {White}

I understand it is easy to identify in any other brick color but when printed
on a white brick how can you tell if the whites of the eyes are printed in white
or not? Or does it even really matter anyways?

All -

I would like to start a compilation of dual-molded parts that are in the catalog
so that we can start to get an idea of the scope of what a reorganization project
for these parts would entail.

I obviously do not have access to even a small fraction of the parts in the catalog,
so I cannot visually check every part for dual molding. I also do not have the
time to scan the entire catalog for everything.

Therefore, I would like to make this a community effort.

If you notice a dual-molded part in a new set, see one sitting in your collection,
see one sitting in your store inventory, see one laying on your desk, find one
stuck between your toes in the middle of the night, etc., I want to know what
it is. This especially includes parts that pertain to any kind of minifigures
or mini dolls. Please make absolutely sure that the part is molded in more than
one color of plastic and not just painted. This is very important!

Since this compilation will very likely entail a large number of parts, I would
like to get these in larger batches in the beginning.

So if you would like to help out, please find a number of them before posting,
then please post them here in a list as a reply to this thread. I will then take
the batches and begin to make a master list on a catalog help page that can be
reviewed by all.

Once we have a good number of these determined, we can begin to see if we can
tackle this issue is a more structured way.

I hope if you have read this far, that you will join in.

Thanks,
Randy

Granted, this boxed 1970's souvenir set with pamphlet may not be in the catalog,
but if it IS, where would it be found? Under Gear? What would it be called?
I'm not having any luck with 'search words'....thanks for any/all
info.

Found this old cd-rom between my huge LEGO graveyard of items I ones bought and
am now plowing through

Didn’t pay it any attention first, until I noticed “for internal use only”….

Now I am intrigued and want to find out more about it.

It is from 1997 and “This cd-rom shows the products we have and those we are
currently developing.”

Any ideas on what is on it, is it in the catalog, should it be in the catalog?

Hi, Sticker sheet (Item# 641stk01) for set 641-1 Excavator shows 4 stickers.
2 of the stickers clearly fit on the Minifigs vest, but the other 2 are dimension
2 studs wide and 1 stud height.
The instructions for set 641-1 show the application, and picture of actual Excavator,
of 2 stickers on the side applied to the 3 yellow plates. This sticker size is
1 stud wide and 1 stud height.
I'm questioning, is this the correct sticker sheet for the Set, or is there
2 versions of the sticker sheet for the set.
I bought a box of old lego parts and in it was this set which had the 2 (2 stud
wide) stickers applied to the 2x4 yellow brick at the back, and this is where
my question originates from.

kind regards
Richard.

Regarding 3003 Transparent colors, why are they not more correctly cataloged
as 3003old (without inside support bars)? It would seem this is inconsistent
with the opaque colors that can easily be defined by the inclusion or absence
of these support bars.

Part No: 3003 Name: Brick 2 x 2
*
3003 Brick 2 x 2
Parts: Brick {Trans-Red}
vs

Part No: 3003old Name: Brick 2 x 2 without Inside Supports
*
3003old Brick 2 x 2 without Inside Supports
Parts: Brick {Red}

Red is an example but this argument applies to all the transparent colors including
clear.

Should dual moulded legs not be in the regular "minifigure legs" section rather
than the "decorated" section?

As it stands they're super obscure to search for in decorated as "boots"
is basically the only key word that is a good distinction. Just feel like they'd
make more sense and be more useful to track and find in the "minifigure legs"
section as to my knowledge, other dual moulded parts aren't typically considered
"decorated".

This may even have been whats added to the duplicates and confusion between whether
somethings printed or dual moulded. E.G:

Does anyone know why the torso image doesn't show up at the inventory of

Bricklink search for part 4536184 shows a propeller part 461726/4617. I believe
it should be linked to part 57906 as Lego says it is a 3 x 12 plate with angle
and hinge.

Hello Lego fans!

I have recently found several details from my childhood, which were all parts
of the set, but I can not find any set that is appropriate for it. If I remember
correctly it consisted only from this parts. What can it be?

I've never seen this before, and couldn't locate it in the catalogue
- an ice planet hologram apparently only released for a short time in Ice planet
sets. Anyone ever seen one, or know where it is in the catalogue? It's listed
here in an old Lego magazine

I acquired this beautiful set today and am seeing "MULTI" Core Magnetizer for
the very first time. I've always known this only as MEGA Core Magnetizer.

Should the BL catalog reflect the alternate name / name change at all? Even if
just listed in the set notes?

Hi!

I have this poster, but the one I have has different dimensions: 21 x 29.7 x
0.1 cm.

Does anybody know if the dimensions on Bricklink for item p19sw2 are maybe incorrect?
Or if the item I have is a different item?

Thanks!

Can someone please answer why there are minifigure numbers gb001 but also gb001i?
The same goes for gb002 and gb002i, so-on, so-forth. I do not think this is correct.
These "minifigures" are in fact the same minifigure. It only appeared in one
set and from looking at the instructions the minifigure is built as gb001i (with
the proton pack) as opposed to without. I understand when they appear with their
neck braces etc. in some sets but not others it makes sense to make them separate
minifigures, but this appears to be an error for the Ghostbusters ones?

There are two listing for this motor, one shows just the motor, the other shows
the motor in LEGO packaging.

All the current listings are under "just motor"

The listing showing the motor in packaging is "original box entry" - but it doesn't
come in a box.

The motor was sold in a power functions set (hence no packaging) and also as
the motor on its own (in LEGO bag.

Maybe doesn't matter much, I've just added image of motor in bag to my
listing

I built my almost-complete 8080 the other night and discovered that the stickers
are mismatched. The design matches exactly, but one is silver and the other three
are dark gray. There is only one hit in the catalog for the "X-52" text on the
sticker. Might there be an alternate sticker sheet floating around? Or did I
just fail to find the other sheet this could have come from?

Thanks!

Can someone please help me list an item.

I would like to list the small box of special parts from set 75978 as a separate
item in our store. It is new and unopened. I have tried all of the numbers
on the box and none of them work. BrickLink said that it can not be listed with
the set number and a description but I can not figure out from their e-mail how
to actually list the item.

These show up in catalog with no image, but there is an image, at least for the
2nd one on the page.

I was very surprised when I haven’t seen 2924a part (Red Train Front with 1 x
4 x 3 Cutout with Trans-Clear Glass) with its relative white sticker between
the counterparts in the 4551 inventory. Can it be added? I have a picture to
provide.
Thank you very much!

In the picture below, the two center 1x3 plates are not the regular blue. They
appear to have a more greenish cast to them. They have hollow pins on the bottom.
Rebrickable lists colors such as vintage blue or Maersk blue, but I do not see
these options here?

I've a precise electronic scale - 1/100 grams.

Well I think this was a recent variant, because today I found an older speciment.

This old guy is 42.11g.
The newer one was 41.27g.
I double checked today. same scale, same setup.

How could we submit that in the catalog? 2 weights for same part, plus the know-how
to distinguish between older and newer variant.

Inventory seems stuck in "pending approval" Any idea why and when it maybe approved?

Seems odd for a almost 6 month old set.

Should have checked before parting them out

Thanks

I'm not sure how to put a request through to change a part in a gear. I recently
purchased a Count Dooku Watch Set and it was completely sealed. Before I purchased
it, I made sure it came with his special lightsaber, so I didn't have to
order one. I opened it and turns out it has a normal metallic silver lightsaber
straight inside and on Bricklink it says it comes with Dooku's lightsaber.

Looks like this set needs the counterpart added for the tan 2x2 tile with the
orange two pronged sticker on it that goes on the arms. Not sure how to add it
or request it properly.

Why not add cardboard sleeves as counterparts to the sets they appear in instead
of leaving them orphaned with a note that needs to be kept up to date? I don't
see why cardboard sleeves are that different from e.g. stickered assemblies.
They are a bunch of parts held together by something.

I've found a couple of these pens at the back of a draw. Do I attempt to
put them in the catalogue?
Would these be allowed to have a catalogue entry? These were given away back
in 2002 at an event in LLW.
If yes, I'll upload some better photos.

Greetings,

I'm inventorying set 21177 and have a different chicken. Instead of the yellow
4073 plate round in minechicken03, the 4073 color is bright light orange.

I just wanted to confirm that I should submit a new chicken entry into the catalog
for the different 4073 variant. The body bb0816pb01 is identical. It would be
possible for Lego to add other different colored round plates on the bottom of
the chickens, creating many more entries.

Regards, - Chris

This part below displays the same type of variation but it only has a note rather
than a separate, distinct entry.

Part No: 2458 Name: Brick, Modified 1 x 2 with Pin
*

Is this because no one has submitted the newer variant, or is there some sort
of arcane cataloging reason of which I am not aware?

Bags read “2011”.

Part 53984 in pearl light gray is listed as appearing in sets 8101 and 8112.
But it doesn't appear in those inventory lists.

Ditto for Part 53988 in pearl light gray.

Part 53989 in light pearl gray is listed as appearing in set 8112. But the inventory
listing for that set shows only black 53989.

Hi,

I recently had a feed back from a customer of mine who complains about the suitcases
ref 4449 I sent.
He told me that one of them had the LEGO LOGO.
I checked the 7 suitcases in my inventory and just 4 of them had ref and logo.
Except that, they are strictly the same.
Does anyone have any information about those parts without ref and LEGO logo
?

Best regards

I'm trying to do my first set inventory for BL with the new

Set No: 21331 Name: Sonic the Hedgehog - Green Hill Zone
*
21331-1 (Inv) Sonic the Hedgehog - Green Hill Zone
1003 Parts, 3 Minifigures, 2022
Sets: LEGO Ideas (CUUSOO): Sonic the Hedgehog
While it's not what I would consider a large set, there are still a number
of pieces that need to be adjusted and created. I've gone through the process
of creating and requesting all the stickered parts with images already. There
are a few new parts that need to be added to the catalog along with the new Sonic
minifig as well.

For these new parts (printed) I'm assuming that I should go through the same
process to create the new part in the system then add it to the inventory list?
Since some of these parts are printed, they have PCC numbers as well but I don't
see the PCC number anywhere in the add/change item tool. How do I make sure
this is added?

Secondly, there is one part

Part No: 87609 Name: Plate, Modified 2 x 6 x 2/3 with 4 Studs on Side
*
87609 Plate, Modified 2 x 6 x 2/3 with 4 Studs on Side
Parts: Plate, Modified {Black}
that has a new PCC number in this catalog.
I don't see anything different from the already listed part but the PCC
number for this catalog entry is different (new=6401209)

Lastly, can I submit the main inventory page and then still make edits to it
as I create these last few parts and minifig? I had the set reserved over the
weekend and the lost the reservation because it only holds for three days apparently.
I don't want to lose all the work that I've typed in for all the parts
again.

I'm sure I'll have a few more questions but this should get me going
for now.

type mask. (After all, the head is only found as part of the Brickster, who
is a robber or criminal of some kind.)

Before I make a name change request, does anyone know of any backstory from the

a mask?

The black mask in the attached photo from A Christmas Story is the style
I think it looks like.

Hello,

I'm trying to build a little piece of code for my own use, and I was wondering
where to find the list of alternate parts.

When on Bricklink I can search for part 2444, and the result give me alternate
or related item part as 10247

such as in this page: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2444&name=Plate,%20Modified%202%20x%202%20with%20Pin%20Hole&category=%5BPlate,%20Modified%5D#T=C

I have download I believe all possible files from bricklink (https://www.bricklink.com/catalogDownload.asp)

But I cannot find a file which will help me identify the possible alternate part.

I looked a the parts.txt and codes.txt files, but cannot find anything.

I see this in the codes.txt file for the 2 parts I'm using as an example:
But I see no way to "pair" some parts as identical with this information

2444 Black 244426
2444 Blue 244423
2444 Blue 4529003
2444 Dark Bluish Gray 4196768
2444 Dark Purple 4261216
2444 Green 4161728
2444 Light Bluish Gray 2444194
2444 Light Bluish Gray 4211359
2444 Medium Blue 4261128
2444 Red 244421
2444 Tan 4206666
2444 White 244401
2444 Yellow 244424

10247 Black 6061032
10247 Dark Bluish Gray 6047417
10247 Light Bluish Gray 6045988
10247 Red 6014616
10247 Tan 6302263
10247 White 6061024
10247 Yellow 6061025

Any help is welcome, thank you

Hello everyone,

Apologies for the canceled post about colors the other day. We got our wires
crossed behind the scenes and in the effort to get a new color ready for use,
there was some miscommunication.

We have released a new color, Neon Yellow. The official LEGO name is Vibrant
Yellow (368):

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogColors.asp?utm_content=subnav

There has been much discussion recently around the subject of color, specifically
how official LEGO color names relate to BrickLink color names. To explain a little
of why and how these differences happen, here are some examples of new colors
entering the marketplace:

2011/2012 releases:

- LEGO "Dark Azur" was added as BrickLink "Dark Azure" (name adjusted for English
language spelling)
- LEGO "Medium Azur" was added as BrickLink "Medium Azure" (name adjusted for
English language spelling)
- LEGO "Aqua" was added as BrickLink "Light Aqua" (named adjusted because BrickLink
already had an "Aqua" and this was lighter than that color)
- LEGO "Medium Lavender" was added as BrickLink "Medium Lavender" (no change)
- LEGO "Lavender" was added as BrickLink "Lavender" (no change)
- LEGO "Spring Yellowish Green" was added as BrickLink "Yellowish Green" ("Spring"
was removed for simplicity)
- LEGO "Olive Green" was added as BrickLink "Olive Green" (no change)

2019 release:

- LEGO "Vibrant Coral" was added as BrickLink "Coral"

In 2020, the "Opal" series of colors started to be released. These were called
"Satin" colors on BrickLink. 2020 also saw the replacement of the keyword "Flesh"
with "Nougat".

2022 release:

- LEGO "Vibrant Yellow" was added as BrickLink "Neon Yellow"

*************************************

General principles for naming new BrickLink colors:

1. When possible, the official LEGO color name is adopted as the BrickLink color
name.

2. Spellings are changed to BrickLink conventions, i.e. American English.

3. Extra keywords are removed (e.g. there is no need for a modifier in front
of "Coral").

4. Care is taken to relate the new color name to other BrickLink names of similar
colors.

5. Non color-specific adjectives are replaced with more concrete terms, i.e.
Stone = Bluish

6. Everyday color names often replace more exotic names: Medium Lilac = Dark
Purple.

Why does the new Minifig Vented Stud Head 28621 (https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=28621)
say that release years are from 2013 when its first appearance in a set was in
2018?

I want to add the weight and size of an instruction booklet into the catalogue.

On the "Add or Change" there is nothing listed as instructions to where i can
do this.

Where do it do it?

Cheers

I am a bit confused seeing Town as theme.

For example, I have these 3 sets, which are City Space Set#

3368 Space Center
3365 Space Moon Buggy
3367 Space Shuttle

Yet on BL they are categorised as

Town City Space Port Set#

This seems incorrect. The Town theme does not seem to exist in LEGO. The main
theme is City.
And Space Port is not a subtheme either.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Occasionally, I run into items that don't have a price guide tab, but only
Items for sale and Color Info. What does it mean if this is missing? Is this
an indication that the item has never been sold, or is there a min. amount of
sales that should take place, before this is added?

I was doing a job lot and came across a Chrome Silver torso for a Stormtrooper.
While researching this minifigure I realized that the under (inside) color was
white. There is also a Chrome Silver C-3P0 minifigure with the under (inside)
color of Light Bluish Gray. The legs for both figures are listed as the same
piece, but the under (inside) color is different. White for the Stormtrooper
and Light Bluish Gray for the C-3P0 so shouldn't they be listed as a separate
piece? I would really be disappointed if I bought a pair of Chrome Silver legs
with white inside color when my C-3P0 figure's inside color is Light bluish
Gray.

Can someone please fix this?

Bricklink has the following differences from Brickstore in respect of Set 71253-1

Bricklink has

18605c02pb19 Trans-Yellow Dimensions Toy Tag 4 x 4 x 2/3 with 2 Studs and Trans-Orange
Bottom with Silver 'NS' Monogram on Dark Blue Background Pattern (Newt
Scamander)

While Brickstore has 18603c67pb01 with no image and the item number is not
in Bricklink

Bricklink has

18602c02 Trans-Yellow Dimensions Toy Tag 4 x 4 x 2/3 with 4 Studs and Trans-Orange
Bottom (Generic for Gadgets)

While Brickstore has 18603c00b with no image and the item number is not in
Bricklink

is this correctable so that the images are available in Brickstore and the link
to info on Bricklink does not return No items found ?

I always assumed the 45 in Slope 45 means 45 degrees, and in Slope 33 it means
33 degrees, however if you calculate the exact degrees based on brick measures
it is not.

A standard 1 x 1 brick measures 7.9375 mm x 9.5250 mm (length/width x height
without the stud).

Building with Slope 45 bricks results in a slope of 50 degrees, not 45.
Building with Slope 33 bricks results in a slope of 31 degrees, not 33.

As is well know, assumptions are the mother of all f*ups, so I most likely assumed
wrong

Therefore... just curious, where do the 45 and 33 come from?

...we surpassed last year's yearly total of catalog items added:

https://www.bricklink.com/calendar.asp?v=C

In addition to that 2021 saw more catalog items being edited/changed than in
the previous 6 years combined:

https://www.bricklink.com/calendar.asp?v=Q

(mostly due to thousands of packing dimensions being added)

Us admins sometimes get thanked here in the forums for our work but those volumes

So here's a big thanks from us admins to you

I'd like to add the official Legoland 25 year anniversary mug to the catalog.
But I don't have any gear number for it. What should I use?

All -

The main part of the project to move LEGO games from Gear item types to Set item
types has been completed. Unfortunately, we could not meet our deadline of November
1 due to some unforeseen circumstances in the code that required fixing. Thankfully,
these kinks got worked out quickly so that we could finally bring this project
to fruition.

A few other games in the Gear item type may still be moved (I need to look into
how to best handle them), but all of the ones with official LEGO set numbers
were moved and are now easily found through category searches as well as set
number searches. All of the minifigures that were associated with all of these
games have also been recategorized under the new category structure used for
the sets.

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogListOld.asp?v=2&pg=1&catLike=W&searchMethod=searchBoth&catID=1166

I would like to thank everyone (sellers, buyers, admins, etc.) for your patience
over the years as we moved towards this goal. I thought at times that it might
never happen, but here we are at last!

Special thanks go to:

(1) Prior admin StormChaser for pushing relentlessly to get this accomplished.
(2) Admin Russell for quickly submitting bug reports and following through on
them.
(3) The "Catalog Squad" at BrickLink for being very responsive to our needs concerning
this project and getting the bugs fixed quickly.

Cheers,
Randy

Good evening,

doing a riddle today I stumbled about Rancor
(https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?P=11323pb01c01)
not being a (big) figure while someone like Killer Croc
(https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?M=sh321)
IS a figure?

PS: is there no BIGfig category? (or did I just not find it?)

I found a stormtrooper today with a yellow pauldron so I went to look him up.
Coincidentally I found that the specific pauldron was just added to the catalog
today!
Part number is bb0673pb03
This part has yet to be assigned to a set inventory.
I'm not sure if this helps, but I found this pauldron on this minifig

Minifig No: sw0364 Name: Sandtrooper - Orange Pauldron, Survival Backpack, Dirt Stains, Balaclava Head Print and Helmet with Dotted Mouth Pattern
*
sw0364 (Inv) Sandtrooper - Orange Pauldron, Survival Backpack, Dirt Stains, Balaclava Head Print and Helmet with Dotted Mouth Pattern
Minifigures: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 4/5/6

or could be

Minifig No: sw0383 Name: Sandtrooper - White Pauldron, Survival Backpack, Dirt Stains, Balaclava Head Print and Helmet with Dotted Mouth Pattern
*
sw0383 (Inv) Sandtrooper - White Pauldron, Survival Backpack, Dirt Stains, Balaclava Head Print and Helmet with Dotted Mouth Pattern
Minifigures: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 4/5/6

Don't know for sure, but maybe the yellow pauldron was a variant.

Thanks

was on the shelves when the 9/11 attacks happened in the USA. Shortly
after that, TLC issued a recall on any unsold copies. Not all retailers complied
with that.

My recollection is that it had to do with a drawing that was considered offensive
in light of the 9/11 attacks. I thought it might have been a comic book, but
now I'm thinking it was something similar, but part of the instructions.

As several sellers of the instructions mention that the last ~10 pages were cut
out, I wonder if that was one way of dealing with it, without actually returning
the sets to TLG.

Does anyone actually have one of these with full instructions, and can confirm/deny
my remembrance of the issue ? Might make for an interesting note on the catalog
entry.

We recently deployed an adjustment to our catalog admin tools that allows us
to move Gear items to the Sets Item Type. One of the reasons we wanted to move
these Gear items is that they would be more searchable and help with connections
to other sites. As a result, many of the item numbers had the letter "G" removed.

This "G" (or "g") had originally been added, both as a prefix and a suffix, to
distinguish between certain parts and Gear items which shared a "given" ID; that
is, an ID that has been "given" by the LEGO Group and is clearly enough exposed
that BrickLink catalog users could use it to help identify an item.

In particular, the G was necessary for the rare occasion that either the part
or Gear item needed to be added to an inventory via one of our manual inventory
upload forms. In these cases, the forms would only allow one of the two options,
and if the user needed the other option, a catalog item number change was necessary
before uploading the request.

This problem stemmed from an effort a few years ago to simplify inventory upload
forms (they were notoriously difficult for many users to understand). At the
time we removed the input column for Item Type, since 99.9% of the time it was
unnecessary.

However, we have determined to restore the Gear item numbers affected by this
and plan to deploy, on Monday, a dropdown menu for these cases, where users can
choose between duplicate IDs. This is already a feature of our autopopulated
inventory add form, where duplicate PCCs will trigger a similar dropdown.

So starting immediately, we will approve changes for Gear Item Numbers from Gxxxxx
and xxxxxG to xxxxx. There are several hundred of these in our system, and they
can be discovered quite easily by downloading via Tab_Delimited File all Gear
item types:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogDownload.asp?utm_content=subnav

...opening the file in Excel, and then searching the Item Number column for the
letter G.

If someone, or a group of people, would like to take on this project, it would
be greatly appreciated. Our catalog admin team is approaching the absolute busiest
time of the year and probably won't have time for this until mid February
otherwise.

Thanks!

What exactly is the difference between 6048 and 6048b? There's no comparison
picture on either entry, and the only descriptive difference is that 6048b has
"finger grooves".

However, I checked through my copies of sets 6977, 6969, 6441, and 2151 for (6048)
as well as 6949, 6837, 6905, 6456, and 8480 for 6048b. I couldn't see any
difference between the 6048* copies in all of those sets, and they all seem to
have a "finger groove" to allow the piece to be attached to 3-arm pieces and
to rotate cleanly.

Does anyone have non-render pics of the normal 6048, or could anyone explain
what to look for? Thanks!

Just curious what's going on with the new Star Wars parts category. All I
see is one head in the category.

I see LEGO part based games have finally (a few weeks back) been moved from Gear
to a new category of Sets / Games.

Was this fairly major change ever announced? I see there was one reply to an
older thread saying a set had been transferred here: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1314630

But shouldn't such significant reorganisation like this be announced / documented
somewhere? It seems a bit strange that there are recent admin posts about transparency
and communication yet things like this go apparently uncommunicated.

Also why does it have such a strange structure?

For example, these sets go in a named directory structure inside Sets / Games
/ ...

Set No: 3866 Name: Star Wars - Battle of Hoth
*
3866-1 (Inv) Star Wars - Battle of Hoth
273 Parts, 32 Minifigures, 2012
Sets: Games: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 4/5/6

Set No: 3862 Name: Harry Potter - Hogwarts
*
3862-1 (Inv) Harry Potter - Hogwarts
323 Parts, 9 Minifigures, 2010
Sets: Games: Harry Potter

Set No: 3856 Name: Ninjago - The Board Game
*
3856-1 (Inv) Ninjago - The Board Game
235 Parts, 10 Minifigures, 2011
Sets: Games: NINJAGO: The Golden Weapons

other games from a named theme don't get a directory such as

Set No: 3851 Name: Atlantis Treasure
*
3851-1 (Inv) Atlantis Treasure
279 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2010
Sets: Games

There is only one Star Wars game, one Harry Potter game, one City game, etc but
they get their own directory/folder whereas the Atlantis game doesn't get
a themed folder?

Then for some reason Chess (and a few others) is treated in a completely different
way

Set No: 851499 Name: Chess
*
851499-1 (Inv) Chess
80 Parts, 24 Minifigures, 2 Gear, 2005
Sets: Castle: Knights Kingdom II: Games

Set No: 851861 Name: Chess
*
851861-1 (Inv) Chess
60 Parts, 24 Minifigures, 10 Gear, 2006
Sets: Vikings: Games

Set No: 852751 Name: Chess
*
852751-1 (Inv) Chess
126 Parts, 24 Minifigures, 2 Gear, 2009
Sets: Pirates: Pirates II: Games

Set No: 40158 Name: LEGO Chess
*
40158-1 (Inv) LEGO Chess
776 Parts, 20 Minifigures, 2015
Sets: Pirates: Pirates III: Games

Set No: 853373 Name: Chess
*
853373-1 (Inv) Chess
201 Parts, 28 Minifigures, 2012
Sets: Castle: Kingdoms: Games

Set No: 852132 Name: Tic Tac Toe
*
852132-1 (Inv) Tic Tac Toe
30 Parts, 10 Minifigures, 1 Gear, 2007
Sets: Castle: Fantasy Era: Games

These go into the Sets / Theme Name / Games rather than Sets / Games / Theme
Name

Is there some reason that chess does not go into the Sets / Games structure?
That is, their theme trumps being a game in the catalogue structure, whereas
for other themes they are a game first, theme second.
