I have noticed a rather significant mould variation on this part :

Part No: 2641 Name: Support Crane Stand Single
*
2641 Support Crane Stand Single
Parts: Support

I reckon the original part "2641a" was not structually stable enough
so TLG made "2641b"

However, the "cut out" under the top plate was never used to any effect
in the two sets that used the part?

So TLG could have gone with "2641b" from the start ...

I only noticed this after buying a bunch for a MOC and I wanted to put a 4x4
structure uunder the supports. Not doable with half of them

This part was also made in black for the Blacktron prototype set btw

What do you think?

Cheers,

Ole

Someone with both parts in hand like you could start by submitting 2 catalog
entries with correct photos of these parts.

Yep, as a start we would definitely need good images for the new catalog entries,
not just for the plain parts but also for the stickered versions, as this entry
would need to be split as well:

Part No: 2641pb001 Name: Support Crane Stand Single with Red and White Danger Stripes Pattern (Sticker) - Set 6541
*
2641pb001 Support Crane Stand Single with Red and White Danger Stripes Pattern (Sticker) - Set 6541
Parts: Support

Any help in that regard would be very appreciated.
