instead!

Yes. It would be like 35787 in shape, but a 1x1 instead of a 2x2.

No, because being just less than half a stud there wouldn't be enough clutch
to hold it. There are 1x1 cheese slopes used on their side which can work for
tiling if you have enough of them.
