Is there any kind of preference for photos of parts which are printed on both
sides?

For instance, I submitted
 
Part No: 87614pb013 Name: Tail 12 x 2 x 5 with Blue Toucan Bird Pattern on Both Sides
* 		87614pb013 Tail 12 x 2 x 5 with Blue Toucan Bird Pattern on Both Sides
Parts: Tail, Decorated
two months ago with the current main image and after approval
I submitted the additional image to show both sides.

I did the same with
 
Part No: 6239pb091 Name: Tail Shuttle with Coral and White Fox Head over Silver Scratches Pattern on Both Sides
* 		6239pb091 Tail Shuttle with Coral and White Fox Head over Silver Scratches Pattern on Both Sides
Parts: Tail, Decorated
last week but this time my previous main image was replaced with the second image
(so it's difficult now to recognize any details in the thumbnail image).
Was that just a mistake or du you generally prefer to show both sides in the
main image?

I'll have to add something more to the guidelines about this. The preference
(there are some exceptions) is to show a single part for the main image and use
the multiple-view images for additional images. Please resubmit the single-view
image and we'll put it in the main slot.
