Into the catalogue? Definitely not. There are many parts made by machines owned
by LEGO and sold by LEGO that should not be in the catalogue. For example, LEGO
Discovery Centres used to have engraving machines where they would engrave your
name or a word on a brick. They might still do it, it's been a long time
since I went. They own the machine, they sell the part. There would be unlimited
catalogue entries if they were allowed. Same with the new torso printing machines.
As to whether they should be allowed to be sold as customs, that is another issue.
However, if something was made on a LEGO owned machine, how can you tell? If
those are allowed as customs, they'd have to allow parts engraved or printed
on other machines, as they wouldn't be able to tell them apart. And then
they could end up allowing the sale of IPs they don't have the license for.
As for undecorated but custom parts, is there really a difference? If they are
custom ordered, made on demand, then there is little difference.
| Now to the point: What does actually qualify as "officially" LEGO
and therefore allowed to be sold here? Maybe more definitive guidelines would
be useful to all of within the secondary marketplace?

Profound as usual
So getting back to the subject of the post, if you don't mind that is
What should be the guidelines or parameters for what is "official"
LEGO here on BL?

It was a lot of stuff, Stuart. Litereally like sweeping the floors of the backroom

Colors for parts not otherwise found, mold variances, even injection mishaps

Many other unique things too, as I recall. Just bad timing though, and had I

It looks more like a mistake when leaving feedback than a misunderstanding to
me. If they misunderstood what they were doing then why leave lots of positives

Possibly. There are a few fallibilities commonly seen with the use of the neutral
feedback here, all argue for it's "neutral" impact as I see it.

| Dear BrickLink sellers,
Starting from today, we will be accepting monthly seller fee payments made in
2 ways, instead of 3 as before:
1. Paid with your PayPal account by using the 'Pay with PayPal' button
on your Fees page,
2. Paid with a debit or credit card by using the 'Pay with Card' link
on your Fees page.
Seller fee payments that are sent to our PayPal account at billing@bricklink.com
will not be accepted anymore except for cases when sellers need to pay off their
remaining balance immediately.
|
So you're still offering "3 as before" payment methods, only on a
case-by-case basis? How about rephrasing your announcement to "Please submit
your fee payments via these 2 methods, the third is no longer desired - Thank
you, Your BrickLink Team"
|
Usually, this happens when
a) Sellers are closing their stores temporarily or permanently,
b) Sellers have an outstanding balance that is below the annual threshold for
collection. Accounts like that are billed on December 5th every year, more about
this here: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=38 in the Minimum Bill Requirement
section.
Please reach out to us or comment here if you have any questions.

Just my (hopefully helpful) comment.

Whether the advise worked for you or not, a reply is the considerate thing
writ large for the wider community. It's not solely for you (and others like

details to be of some help, but for the others that may be seeking similar help
within the forum, moving forward.
Please keep in mind that affirming or refuting the efficacy of publicly proffered

Not just about common courtesy, in other words.

By either name, anyone would count themselves as lucky to have been a part of
his life.
A good man, good father and a good brother. Loved ones left behind are Karin
his wonderful wife, and three great kids; Jacob, Julia and Jesper. The pic was
taken 4 months ago.
A heartfelt appreciation to those here that cared about him, expressed or not.
I have my cherished memories, and look forward to hopefully catching up with
him when my time comes

After helping his dad build a jacuzzi in his dad's beloved garden, they inaugurated
it their last project together, Randy and his youngest, Jacob. Btw, Jacob's
holding a game they played while enjoying the jacuzzi that day. They loved games,
my brother and his kids. Pic was taken 10 months before Randy's passing.
The second pic is of Randy and Jacob as a wee-one, taken at my brother's
favorite place on earth (after his garden) Morro Bay, CA. His ashes will be scattered
next month in two places: his garden and Morro Bay.
Didn't know this of my brother, that Morro Bay where he and I have had some
good times as young men, was so closely held to heart. Just leaned it. Even more
impactful, considering my brother and his youngest were avid travelers of the
world. Don't know of many places they haven't experienced. It's completely
understandable that his garden is a favorite, but learning that Morro Bay was
also, is hard hitting in a bitter sweet way.

The US Postal Service has been running a deficit for a long time now. For the
last decade and a half USPS revenues have not covered their expenses, culminating
in a shortfall of 6.5 Billion for the fiscal year 2023. That's if you view
2022 so called windfall with anything more than a passing glance... That anomaly
was created by the PSRA becoming law, which removed a whopping $57 billion in
owed revenue to their retires' health benefit fund, from the ledger Which
hadn't been paid into since 2012, btw.
So yeah, how does it operate

457, why? Is that bad?
Kidding - only 11 including the store in question. I think maybe 6 of them were
from threads like this where a user was seeking advice on how to handle another
difficult user. I'll go dig around to see if I can help and in the process
if I end up seeing a plethora of negatives (like 10+ in a year) I'll stop
list them even though they're probably not an active buyer. My logic is
that while they might not buy from me, they may see their "members who have
stop listed me" numbers climb and realize they need to make some changes.
I check back every now and then and occasionally remove people who have made
improvements.
The others were added because I might have stumbled on them while reading other
people's feedbacks and their replies. Two of them are on there because they
don't know how to use the feedback system properly and I'm just trying
to protect my numbers. They gave over 20 feedbacks but may be 3 were positive
and the rest were neutral and negative.
The funny thing is, I was stop listed and put on ignore lists left and right
while asking basic questions back when I was setting up my store. Everybody
has their reasons I guess. I went from being on 5 to now just 2 so I assume
they were just curmudgeons.
