  Hi,

When I download a wanted list, it saves as an xml file, yet when I try to upload
it, it says .xml isnt supported.

Does anyone know if there's a way to upload a previously downloaded wanted
list?

Thanks

There's a separate tab for uploading XML (see pic).
Change tabs, select the Wanted List from the drop down list and then copy/paste
the XML code into the box.

3009p01e Brick 1 x 6 with Black Car Grille Pattern (Embossed Print)
Parts: Brick, Decorated {Blue}

I have this part, with embossed grille, in blue. There are lots of this part
in blue for sale as well. But the color blue is not in the list of 'known'
colors. It this because it's not in a known set?

As a result I can not add the part the BrickStore application, as it only allows
to add it in a known color. Of course you could say that's an issue in BrickStore,
but it relies on the 'known colors' in Bricklink. And since we know this
part really exists in blue, shouldn't it be in the 'known colors'
list, even if we don't know in what set it appeared?

What would be the best way to solve this?

Yes, the Known Colors is automatically compiled from the part being in a sets
inventory.

BrickStore does not rely on Known Colors... you just need to change the colour
drop down menu to All Colors (top right corner of the 'Add Items' dialog
box).

I think it's probably the second link above that you need to change.

I had a rare Lego which was ordered on April 12. I didn't happen to check
my inventory or website so I don't know if it remained or was deleted. On
April 27th I received another order for the same part. I've only been doing
this for 2 months, does anyone know how this happened?

Possibly a duplicate listing.

If you open the original order (for the piece you sold) and hover over the image
of the item, you can see the Lot ID (see attached image).

Compare this Lot ID with the second order. If the Lot ID's are different
then you had a duplicate listing.

Hello forum folk, I'm new to bricklink and brickstore, loving some of the
features, and having completed our family set collection on brickstore and parted
out sets with missing pieces, have today made our first buy of 100+ missing parts
with just two sellers and at a very good price. A job made a lot easier by bricklink
- so thank you, good work!

Our reason for completing these sets is that my son wants to sell his more junior
lego for advanced sets.

XML DATA FIELDS

With selling in mind, is there any way of downloading an xml file with a wider
range of data included? Specifically dimensions and weight of boxes, and weight
of sets.

We live in the Balearic islands and so post cost is a particularly crucial criteria
for us. I have a pretty sexy spreadsheet that will work out the best post options
according to weight, longest side, combined sides and volumetric weight, and
i would like to be able to offer boxed/unboxed options. All of the information
is in the dataset so I'm hoping to avoid the mind numbing job of entering
it all manually. But when I have imported bricklinks xml files to both brickstore
and excel, the data included is limited to lego part/set etc numbers, type, colour,
and a couple more fields.

If anybody can tell me how I can obtain this additional data, or what i am doing
wrong not to get it by default, it would be very much appreciated.

IMAGES

I had a good browse through help pages when i joined, but didn't notice anything
on whether it is permissible to copy pictures for our own use outside of bricklink?
It is not for any ongoing commercial purpose, just to print labels to help sell
locally for those sets for which we don't have original boxes. If it is OK,
is there a central repository or any way of extracting them against a wantlist,
or would i have to go through each item one by one?

Thanks very much for any help.

For downloading XML data...

  Hello,

I just made an order in which I invoiced for shipping. I received the invocie

Thanks, NG

Depends on the sale.
If there are Sales Taxes / VAT involved then it should only be paid onsite so
that BL can collect those taxes.
If there are no taxes involved then you could send payment direct to the email
address, but make sure it is sent as Goods & Services (not Family & Friends).

Did the seller have Onsite enabled, but then disabled it after you ordered?
Check sellers feedback for any concerning issues.

The order is probably marked as paid, which is why you can't change it (I'm
assuming it's not actually paid).

Try these steps...
Under My BL - Settings - Order Settings (https://www.bricklink.com/orderSettings.asp?viewFrom=P)
tick the box that says 'Separate order payment status from order status'
(see pic).
Don't forget to hit Submit Changes.

Then go to your Orders Received page and see if you can change the payment status
back to None. Again, hit Submit Changes and see if that unlocks the additional
costs boxes.

If that doesn't work, take a look at the Order Status field and see what
that says. That may also need setting back to an earlier state.

That way we could see if one of the brackets got placed wrong.

Here is the current version.

On US orders it's perfectly fine. On Canadian orders the top part with the
totals, numbers of parts and lots and so on works but not the list of items and
the rest. Basically it seems to fail starting at coupon note.

The person who made the invoice made it when we started our shop and doesn't
rememeber how it works so it's possible that there is some very messy code
in there, sorry.

On the line beginning 'PST #...' there is an ORDERSALESTAX-EQ:Y conditional
macro (which means sellers and buyers address are both in US). I can't see
an end to that macro.
If there is no end, that means only US orders will see anything after that macro,
which sounds like it could be your issue.

  Hi All,
I'm after some advice about what I can do about some feedback provided by
a seller:

Their feedback and my response:
Claimed received parcel later than what the tracking system shown.
Reply: My complaint is that you marked the order Complete. That is MY job as
the buyer

I did post Neutral feedback based on them updating the status to Completed after
I attempted to let them know it was the buyers job to say an order was complete.
I thought they were just uninformed of the proper process and was trying to get
them to understand. It doesn't matter when the postal service says it arrived
and that wasn't my issue.

Anyway, thoughts? It doesn't appear to match a reason I can request feedback
to be removed and I'm just concerned about an ignorant seller being a risk
to the reputation of Bricklink.

How much time had passed between you receiving the parcel and the seller setting
the status to completed? Some sellers will wait x days/weeks after an order
has been delivered and then update the status if the buyer hasn't done so.
They are a relatively new seller, so maybe they have always set the status to
completed.

Did you leave the neutral feedback first? If you did, I'm guessing that
annoyed the seller and so they left the retaliatory negative. The problem with
neutrals on BrickLink is that they count as a negative when it comes to the 'Praise'
% calculation. If you look at their store now, the Praise % is down at 92.31%...
all down to the neutral you left.

It's unlikely BL will remove either of the feedbacks. Your best bet would
be to reach out to the seller and try and come to some resolution.

There's a setting that allows invoicing when an order can't be placed
with Instant Checkout.
It's under Store Settings - Management - scroll down to the 'Checkout'
section (see pic 1).

To check your inventory for items that can not be ordered through Instant Checkout,
go to your Inventory and under the Search My Inventory options there's an
'Instant Checkout Unavailable' checkbox (see pic 2). Tick that box and
hit Go for a list of anything that can't be IC'd.

now I would like all the inventory of the 1st store (mine), copy it to the second

SOMEONE CAN INDICATE ME THE CORRECT PROCEDURE FOR COPY PASTE? ? ?

THANK YOU

First of all, download both inventories and store them in a safe place... so
you have the originals should anything go wrong.

To download a copy of your inventory...
Go to your Inventory, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and there
is a Download link (https://www.bricklink.com/invExcel.asp). Use the XML file
format.

On the 2nd account, you can then upload the file you downloaded from the 1st
account.

Go to your Inventory.
There is an Upload option along the top menu (https://www.bricklink.com/invXML.asp?utm_content=subnav)

At this stage you need to open the downloaded file from your 1st account in e.g.
Notepad and copy the entire contents. Then paste it all into the 'File in
BrickLink XML Format' box, in the top section of the page.

Check the 'Consolidate lots...' options and whether you need to 'Concatenate...'
remarks.

Hit the 'Verify File' button and you should get a list of all the items
that will be uploaded.

  Hello,

Wasn't sure if I can add known/available colours for parts using the forms
so am hoping it's okay to post the request here.

*
4863c01 (Inv) Window 1 x 4 x 2 Plane, Single Top Hole and Double Bottom Holes for Glass with Trans-Light Blue Glass (4863 / 4862)
Parts: Window

Please can this part be updated to make it known/available in Red. Seems a bit
of an oversight that there's a photo showing it existing in Red but I can't
select the colour Red from the list of colours.

Six of them are found in set 6392 (as well as two in White). I realise they
are part assemblies (counterparts), but since it exists in White & Yellow, I
figure it should also exist in Red. Unless I am missing something and making
a glaringly obvious mistake?

Thank you
Marc

The list of 'Known Colours' is automatically updated based on the part
appearing in sets.
So, currently the red version does not exist in any sets (the individual red
part exists in sets but not the complete 'with trans-light blue glass'
version)

It needs to be added as a counterpart (same as the white & yellow versions) to
the relevant set(s).
You can use the usual change form to add it as a counterpart...
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogInvChange.asp?itemType=S

Once that change is sunbmitted and accepted, Red will then appear in the list
of 'Known Colours'.
