In Wanted, ToastBubbles writes:
Looking for someone selling a 1x1 Plate, Round in Trans-Neon Yellow.

Most, if not all, of the listings on BL are incorrectly listed.

I am looking for this part in Trans-Neon Yellow not Trans-Yellow
or Trans-Neon Green.

Trans-Neon Yellow glows under a black light and looks a bit darker/more concentrated
than trans-yellow and does not look green at all.

Please send me a message if you have an extra one for sale!

Part No: 4073 Name: Plate, Round 1 x 1

4073 Plate, Round 1 x 1
Parts: Plate, Round {Trans-Neon Yellow}

BL listings are a nightmare for this part. I got mine off a well-known online
auction site that rhymes with bee clay, by messaging a seller who was selling
accessories from that set.

Going to said auction website with the query "lego 5960" brings up a
at least a couple of results with this part visible -- not cheap by any means,
but they do have photo evidence.

Hopefully this does not violate the forum rules...

It looks great!!

I guess this is the first goodbye to 111 Transparent Brown? LEGO’s recent transparent
purge is pretty strange. Still very sad to see Trans-Neon Green following suit.

hold up, trans-neon green is going away? is there an article on this?

Most interesting part already is I can’t find one thing regarding fakes.
Not one topic or comment
Not one section whatsoever

If it’s there,it’s not obvious!

So today three fakes turned up.Seller hasn’t responded as yet but he may well
not even know,I’m trying to stay composed but I’m annoyed for sure.
Loose arm,one seems to have teeth🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️,the other two don’t.One has faded
red part on torso print, other two have a more vibrant colour. All three heads
have an open hole underneath with a triangular pattern, every other figure I already
own and checked don’t have this.

So….. who else has been faked and what’s Bricklink or Lego doing about it?

As for Chinese sellers,AVOID!

Ps i would post photos but as usual there’s an issue with that

Being disappointed in the condition is very justified, since it seems like the
defects weren't described. The seller should do something about that.
But telling people to avoid all chinese sellers because of your lack of knowledge
is not.

I found this giant clip with a plate 2 x 2 attached in a bin and I have been
unable to figure out what it is.

On the clip it is written "©2015 LEGO PAT. PENDING" on one side and "51493-4
IOHK S2 CHINA"

Not sure about the last two digits of number which could be 3s, 8s or 9s. Not
sure about the "IOHK" either.

The plate and the clip are firmly stuck to each other, no amount of force using
a part separator has been successful at making the parts even budge.

I thought it could come from a Ninjago set with a rip cord but I haven't
had any luck there either.

Thank you for your consideration!

maybe from this?

In Off Topic, Fr0stByt3 writes:
I have gone around and around with this problem for a while now.

Let's say there is a circle divided into eight sectors, with sector one being
from degrees zero to forty-five, sector two being from degrees forty-five to
ninety, and so on. Let's say a point is plotted somewhere randomly on the
circle. How would you determine which sector that point is in?

The reason I ask this question is because I have a perfectly round user interface
and I need to perform some action depending on which sector was clicked.

My thoughts so far are to somehow draw an imaginary line between the point clicked
and the origin of the circle, draw an imaginary line from the origin straight
up the screen, and get the angle between those two lines clockwise. If it's
between (i - 1) * 45 and i * 45 degrees, then it's in the ith sector. I would
not know how to program this without a formula; believe me, I tried.

Reference:

depending on the language you are using you may be able to use an arctan2 function,
arctan2((clickx - centerx) , (clicky - centery)) would give you the angle of
the click relative to the center of the circle.

That is really neat.
Lego will see this and make a new color, put it in a set that cost 499 and make
just one
If they do, I will buy it and hook you up

Thank you

Purple exists

Of course it does. Purple finds a way to exist in the most random parts, which
is incredible. Needs a photo when you can get to your LEGO!

The photo's showing for me not the best one I'll admit

OP, I do have an extra

Woah, nice! I don't think I have anything to trade, can I buy it?
As a side note, your flickr was super helpful when I was trying to fill out these
colors, thanks for that

Trans-neon yellow. It's the only one that I couldn't find on bricklink,
had to go on ebay for it.

A friend of mine's 8796 King Matthias set came with parts 50602, 50616, and
50629 in Pearl Gold. However, I'm not sure if 50623, 53346, and 53347 also
came in Pearl Gold, or if set 8791 did too. In any case, there seems to be a
similar case to the Pearl Gold Kraahkan or Visorak carapaces in the BIONICLE
playsets. Though the lighting in the images is not ideal, these are indeed PG;
they can be seen compared to other PG parts here: https://www.reddit.com/r/bioniclelego/comments/foe1me/zayna_toa_of_psionics/

The reason I bring this up is of course to see them added as alternates, but
first, this definitely needs more research, because as I said, I don't know
if the other three gold parts in the set were PG too... :/ Potentially if we
could find PCC, that would help?

Funnily enough, King Jayko has the crown in pearl gold:

Set No: 8701 Name: King Jayko
*
8701-1 (Inv) King Jayko
130 Parts, 2006
Sets: Castle: Knights Kingdom II
but I got that set when it was released and mine has a reddish gold crown (compared
it to 8796).
