Yes, your bluser number can be seen by going to your Account Info page. The
second bit of information there is titled User ID. That's your bluser number.
Someday in the distant future, when we're all dead, they'll eject us

Doesn't matter what I want, though.

Well the high number of views against each post and the number of subsequent

because people are looking for a litttle more elaboration on what's previously

Please don't. I've dealt with 2FA supporting medical and financial software
for years. It's a pain to set up, and the training curve with too many users
is a vertical wall. I've yet to see a 2FA provider who doesn't have outages
every few weeks, and your phone is NOT secure. For what is a retail operation,
over complicated processes and ticked off customers lead to less of a retail
operation. Add in the expense of doing this internationally, and you will see
a notable jump in what TLG has to skim off the top for fees. Not something that
any of us want.
Use paypal, tie it to your credit card. That will give you security for your
money. If you're worried about some getting in and messing with your inventory....
Don't invent things to be scared of.

Russell said:
"Many historic accounts, such as major contributors or Dan's own personal

So this means that someone at BrickLink made a determination based on subjective
criteria about who would be erased and who wouldn't.
All I'm saying is that an objective standard should have been (and still
could be) used: if a member ever contributed to the catalog/inventories, then
they should not be turned into a number.
Erasing contributor usernames is a breach of the promises made here (and in other
places):
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2472
And beyond that, it is simply disrespectful.

| I support the idea of proper 2FA. Messages to a phone or mobile device (via SMS
or otherwise) is not proper 2FA. Supporting the U2F standard would be perfect
IMO, its designed to be a 2FA solution that avoids all the problems of using
phones as a 2FA solution. And its open and well documented (and AFAIK designed
to be easy for sites to implement)
It can (if implement correctly) even help stop phishing attacks (where someone
creates a fake web page designed to make you think its the real page and then
uses that fake page to steal login information or otherwise do nefarious things)

Catan is very frustrating for me. The game usually ends very abruptly. Now

as the "wave left" variant.
|
If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the inventory page:
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=7038-1
you will see the following sentence:
View a log of completed changes made to this inventory.
Clicking there will display the history of changes made to this set's inventory.
| Is this a mistake in the inventory, or did the set
really come with both flags pointing in different directions?
|
According to BrickLink's timeline the flag change happened roughly around
2008, which is the year this set was released. So it's quite possible that
some 7038-1 sets came with left flags, some came with right flags, and some came
with both.
|
I see, I see. Thank you for the information. Since the flag change happened that
year, would it be correct to submit a change request for the flags and list the
"wave left" variant as the regular part since it appears that way in the instructions
and part list, and the "wave right" variant as an alternate item, do you think?
|
The inventory should indeed include the "a" type as regular part and the "b"
type as alternate part for both colors. I have submitted the change requests:

I'm reminded that we still don't have the ability to use zone pricing

just need a chart set up like we do for international shipping, but with the
9 zone fields. I end up overcharging and giving refunds if the amount is excessive.

My first take.
Took a long time to load for me. I don't necessarily attribute that to whatever
code you have going on, but just saying.
Search for Yellow Head, Any Stud Type, keyword: scar. Returns zero results.
I believe this should return 38 results.
I believe this to be at least in part a flaw in original goatleg code.
Search for Black Torso, Blue Arms, no hand color selected. Returns zero results.
I believe this should return 8 results.
I believe this to be at least in part a flaw in original goatleg code.
With yellow hands also selected, returns 3 results. I believe this to be correct.
It appears that for any search all dropdown options must have an active selection
to function. I would suggest this is not the optimal solution as sometimes arms
or hands may be swapped on a torso. Also if you want to find all heads with glasses
irrespective of what stud type something has...then I don't think three searches
should be required to achieve that.
At narrow screen widths the wrap is malformed or something...button gets cut
off. Screen Grab attached.
Would be nice if the layout better adjusted to a narrow (phone) layout.
Good start, though.

I'm sure people would be willing to pay a small fee to use it. I would.

I spent some time rewriting goatleg so that it will be easier to update and maintain.
Functionally should still be the same.
I'd love to get some feedback.
- Please let me know if I introduced any bugs, and I'll fix them
- Any suggestions of important changes you want, please let me know and I'll
consider them.
Here's the new version:

And the old version

I'm guessing that 3 of those hoses are old hoses from old lego technic set(s).
The black hoses weren't that black at that time (1985-1990).
You could compare it with the hoses from the lego technic set 8862 (yellow backhoe),
a set which I'm currently in full process with (cleaning parts and rebuidling
to have pics for showing quality) before selling on BL

| So: there is a somewhat recent trend in society of erasing people from history.
A number of different reasons are used to justify this. In this instance, privacy
appears to have been the reason. Obviously I disagree with that trend.

Agree 100%.
| It amazes me that I'm putting so much effort into explaining the effects
of erasing history. I think I may know the reason: nearly everyone alive today
grew up in cultures where everything is disposable. It is a logical extension
to see humans in the same way. I'm arguing against that way of looking at
the past. I'm arguing for treating people with the respect they deserve
and keeping promises. I'm arguing against erasure.
|
I am hesitant to agree with this train of thought, but only because it makes
me sad, and I try to keep seeing the positive in the current generation. Then
again "things" happen where I see people who just don't seem to care, and
I tend to gravitate towards this darker view.
I guess what I am saying is I try to hope for the best, but fear the worst.
Oh well, enough of all this, please forget this old man's ramblings. It is
almost beer o'clock, and time for a couple of board games. Who is up for
a round of Azul, Splendor, or Wingspan?
Niek.

Yes, this is a risk with these parts. But fortunately I made sure that they are
not mirrored.
