I concur with the brownish looking older greys.

The light greys look yellow compared to lbg.

Yes. The “Bluish” aren’t bluish, they are really grey. They only appear bluer
than the old greys because those were actually yellowish. But they already had
a name and people were used to their names and tints, so the newer ones were
named “Bluish.”

Depends, what do you have?

If it’s post-2005, it’s DBG.
If it’s pre-2004, it’s DG.
In between, well, the Big Colour Shift happened in 2004 but LEGO used their stocks
for a while

You can also check the inventories of your sets. If both greys were used for
a set, it’s generally noted in the inventory (Alternates section).

Also some parts exist only, or are much more frequent, in one dark grey.

The first is folks sending messages directly to my PayPal and BrickLink notifications
email address. Which I don’t check on a regular basis.

Wouldn’t it be better all round if the user email address were hidden? therefore
emails would have to go thru the message system.

Leads to the second. BrickLink notifications are often delayed by two or three
days, then they all come thru together. Which is why I don’t check that mail
box often. Fairly frequently I receive the order placed notification AFTER I
have shipped the order!

I check messages on site, every morning when I first log on.

Also would benefit BrickLink as it would be far more difficult to trade off site,
if anyone were so inclined.

Please give this some consideration, it works well on the other place.

Thanks, Graham

Anyone know what set it comes from?

I don't know specifically about these but it looks the same as the attached
pic from set 9833

The US/Canada listing on BL shows a different design (although it is the same
spec)

Set No: 9833 Name: AC Adapter, 120V - 10V Transformer
*
9833-2 (Inv) AC Adapter, 120V - 10V Transformer
1 Part, 2000
Sets: MINDSTORMS: NXT

But yours does look like the UK version of 9833 but I assume yours has the US/Canada
pins

Set No: 9833 Name: AC Adapter, 230V - 10V Transformer Type G Plug (British)
*
9833-3 (Inv) AC Adapter, 230V - 10V Transformer Type G Plug (British)
1 Part, 2006
Sets: MINDSTORMS: NXT

Could just be an updated design?

I can't discover anything panel-ish about this part. I'd say it's

What do you think it should be?

Since

30528 Arch 1 x 8 x 6 (Portal)

is an arch, 49699 should perhaps just be a slope

I don’t quite follow the logic here
Half an arch might be a slope but, surely, an arch + an inverted arch is not
a slope, it’s a cylinder!

At least it has something in common with

Okay but then it should be a Slope AND a Slope Inverted. And both Double. So
does that make it Quadruple or Double-Double?

We really need a catmin who is used to deep and rigorous classifications.
I don’t know, maybe an entomologist or something like that?

So it's a door/window/panel/technic/vehicle/slope/arch/brick modified/cylinder..
I think this part just broke the catalog

Brickowl has it as: Parts/Uncategorized

So they don't know where to put it either.

Pulled out an original set in box

Checking numerous sources from sealed set contents, I don't think this set
ever came with the older version of this clip. Therefore, I am going to remove
the old version completely and replace it with the version you have submitted
here.

Cheers,
Randy

I can't discover anything panel-ish about this part. I'd say it's
window, door, technic, other, vehicle, or pretty much anything except a panel...
What do you think it should be?

My first thought is technic or window frame

Well:

1. Window (or door) frame implies you could put a glass or panel (or door)
inside. That seems very unlikely with the technic holes in the way.

2. It’s been used in System (City) sets for now BUT it sure looks like a Technic
Brick, yet not really.
So Technic could do but not really “Technic Brick” and there are no similar parts
(that I know of) in the other Technic categories, that would mean it should fall
in the general “Technic” category, which is already overpopulated.

I’m not envying the catmins

Yep certainly a tough one. It's very clear what it is: A hatch. But how to
catalog it in the existing categories?
I'm voting Door Frame. Alternatively, Vehicle. It may be used in space bases,
but the whole point of hatches is that things are built up from compartments
that have been vehicles at some point.
Hmm, anyone remember the days when we had a "Space" category?

Funny this one - Lego put it into their Bricks, Special category where most of
the modified bricks go. It does look a bit technic Panel, though.

Really do wish we could edit messages. Forgot to say technic bricks are also
in the Bricks, special Lego category - so technic panel could be the right answer????

I can't discover anything panel-ish about this part. I'd say it's
window, door, technic, other, vehicle, or pretty much anything except a panel...
What do you think it should be?

Also, it doesn't make much sense to call this part a cylinder:

Part No: 49949 Name: Cylinder 6 x 10 x 4 1/3 with Open Sides and Pin Holes
*
49949 Cylinder 6 x 10 x 4 1/3 with Open Sides and Pin Holes

When its own counterpart that fits into it is a Slope:

Part No: 45411 Name: Slope, Curved 6 x 8 x 2 Double
*
45411 Slope, Curved 6 x 8 x 2 Double

How about putting them both in Vehicle, Cylinder, or Aircraft?

49699 Panel 1 x 6 x 4 1/3 with Window and 4 Pin Holes
Parts: Panel

I can't discover anything panel-ish about this part. I'd say it's
window, door, technic, other, vehicle, or pretty much anything except a panel...
What do you think it should be?

I saw someone selling different colors of SW blasters like Orange, Dark Red,

I thought the listings might be from sets waiting to be catalogued, but some
are from April/March. They don't appear to be custom, so are they getting
from LEGO directly

Red one is for sure prototype/test color

Wonder if it's related to the BrickArms color rebellion?

Does any experienced Bricklinker know anything about using BrickStock to
upload to Bricklink? There are so many options on Bricklink for concatenating
items and such which I don't understand. Let's say I have five 1 x 2
black bricks in my store in location 75 which was noted in a remark and four
black 1 x 2 bricks that are in my store, but don't have a remark. How can
I consolidate an upload of three 1 x 2 black bricks into the lot without the
remark to cut down on the amount of lots I have?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Stud City Bricks

If you upload with Brickstock, a lot gets consolidated with a lot already in
your inventory only when the both the remarks and the comments are 100% the same.

So if you have 1 lot with no remark, 1 lot with 75 in the remark and you upload
a new lot with no remark, it will consolidate to the lot with no remark.

If you upload a new lot with a remark set to 74 it will make a new lot so you
will end up with no remark, 75 and 74 as lots.

I got away from the remarks feature awhile ago precisely because loads of lots
frustrates me a as a buyer, it is clumsy to use as a seller and does not always
have the desired result. Took me 4 months to clean up my inventory and get all
those remarks removed and reduce the number of lots.

Incidentally, you can also manually fix your lots by going here:
https://www.bricklink.com/inventory.asp
tick the "non-unique" box on the right under "Search my Inventory" and click
go. This will show you every lot which has a different comment/remark/stockroom/reserved
or a combination of all of those.

Set No: 10226 Name: Sopwith Camel
*
10226-1 (Inv) Sopwith Camel
879 Parts, 2012
Sets: Sculptures

* Change {2 to 1} Part Light Bluish Gray 3010pb226 Brick 1 x 4 with Black 'SOPWITH' Pattern on Both Sides (Stickers) - Set 10226 (Counterpart)

Comments from Submitter:
There is only one 3010 in lbg in this set and only two stickers, so there can only be one 3010pb226.

Good catch!

But there is only one LBG 3010 and two stickers in this set, so there can only
be one 3010pb226. Instructions only show one too.
