I bought it off BrickLink as a sealed Bag 2 from the 4841-1 set. It’s wasn't
*technically* a sealed set, but the car was from a sealed bag. Hopefully that
is close enough?

Yes, that is close enough. Thanks for your time, Mike!

Cheers,

Reza -

Randy,

Okay, I can see the yellow 2x3 brick just fine, but I cannot make out how many
trans-clear sprues there are. Could you post a larger photo of just the bag with
the trans-clear sprues?

I email you the photo.
Also, is this your set or someone else's?

It is mine. It misses the motor, sticker sheet and two straight conducting rails
but non of these comes in plastic bags and all the plastic bags in my set are
sealed.

The reason I ask is because I do not accept changes for extras unless you have the set in your possession.

Why not? If the photo shows clearly some parts in plastic bags, why it matters
if those parts are regular or extras?

  Thanks,
Randy

Thank you too
Reza

Photo received and attached here for future reference. Thank you, Reza.

This set has been tampered with and is used. The stickers have been applied to
the large tail fin, the red minifig should not be in the window slot, the other
minifig in the window slot has the visor on the helmet, the 6014ac01 are assembled,
etc.

The good news though is that I found a few other sealed sets that showed the
assembled 4624c02. I have attached a couple of images and the change requests
will be approved.

Cheers,
Randy

Does anyone have a paperback edition?

No I am not certain about that, this information is from online research.

I have found three prints of this book in English:

ISBN-13 | ISBN-10 | Title | Publish Date
9780241314227 | 0241314224 | LEGO - The LEGO Book New Edition (Hardback) | 4-Oct-18
9781465467140 | 1465467149 | LEGO - The LEGO Book New Edition (Paperback) | 2-Oct-18
9781465478207 | 1465478205 | LEGO - The LEGO Book New Edition (Prebound) | 2-Oct-18

'Prebound' means the publisher sends a batch of books (without the covers)
to an specialist binding company (sometimes do this in-house) and the batch of
books are covered differently. The end market is usually schools, but it can
also be for prisons, hospitals, library archives, etc. In this case DK did rebound
this book as hardback for libraries, but its ISBN is 9781465478207.

Also note the geo-codes and publisher codes from the ISBNs:

02-41314 is Dorling Kindersley, London, UK
14-65467 is Dorling Kindersley, New York, USA
14-65478 is Dorling Kindersley (Special Editions), USA

Parts: Wheel & Tire Assembly
came assembled? Based on one source yes, based on the other two sources no.
Either
At first year of release, it came assembled which is possible because this part
was released in 1991 at TLG might put them assembled in box in 1991-92,
or
The copy in which it came assembled was tampered wihh.

Suggests there must be, no idea what that would be.

The Hardcover however is normally the more expensive.

Variation has different id number, see photo's.

If you read the text at the bottom of the current catalog image, it says "NOT
FINALLY APPROVED BY LICENSOR - FOR SALES MATERIAL ONLY"

That makes me think that the current catalog image is a prototype image and not
the actual book cover that made it to publishing.

Cheers,

That could be it, but where does the different number come from? Is that also
related to a prototype?

For some reason I can find two versions on a popular Dutch online store. The
description seems to be nearly identical, but the price is not...
