And who would determine whether an order is suspicious or not? What are the boundaries?

Well, that would only be for good sellers of course!
Because, you know, there’s good sellers and bad sellers.
And the difference is that, the bad seller, he has a shop.  And when he sees
a suspicious order, he cancels.  Every time.  Doesn’t fail.
While the good seller, well, he has a shop.  And when he sees a suspicious order,
well, he cancels, yeah, right away, every time, but that’s not the same!  Because
he’s a good seller!
People need to know the difference between good and bad sellers.

Whether something is suspicious should be down to the seller, the one that actually
looses out if the buyer is a scammer. Remember sellers do not get to choose buyers.

And of course it could be monitored. I would not expect a seller to need to use
it very often.

Hi,

I searched on the Adventurers, Jungle category, and on the Internet, but I haven't
found anything about this sticker.
Maybe the person who added it on catalog could have a response !

I recently received an order, my experience as seller say, there is something

Some of my points but not all.

1-New user (although he knows too well how bricklink works and all its rules,I
suspect that the new user has little, probably have multiple accounts)
2-He did not put his legal name in the order, just he put an invented words instad
name.
3-The address is a temporary apartments
4-This apartaments have inside mailbox system similar PO BOX
5-Order have hight value, without much sence.
6-Payment can be only onsite becouse bricklink need to collect VAT.
7-Small conversation makes it more clear to me that something is wrong.

I know, I can cancel the order, he will put negative feeback, and he could create
a new account and do it again. I am a little stressed, after many years I have
never found myself in a situation like this.

I could send it with insurance and to pick it up at the collection point but
chargeback is also possible.

Can someone give me a idea of how to proceed in this case?

Thanks so much for the help.

through the Brinklink parts list and through the instruction manual to add the

Timed-out on BL?  When?  During part-out?

   Is
there an easy way to add or identify parts? Same question for swapping roof
colors on the clock tower.

Build the set in Studio… or find someone who already did, for instance:
— LDD format: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/41226-key-topic-official-lego-sets-made-in-ldd/
— LDraw format: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/48285-key-topic-official-lego-sets-made-in-ldraw/
— LDraw: http://omr.ldraw.org/
(Check the notes for missing parts / errors.)
and import the set in Studio.

Help page for importing LDD files in Studio: https://studiohelp.bricklink.com/hc/en-us/articles/5606572365847-Import-a-LEGO-Digital-Designer-LDD-file
(Importing LDraw files is about the same, with fewer problems.)

Then you can delete what you don’t want and change/test colours easily (Studio
also gives you colour availability and prices).
Help page for colouring: https://studiohelp.bricklink.com/hc/en-us/articles/5411673129879-Coloring-parts
Prices and availability: https://studiohelp.bricklink.com/hc/en-us/articles/5705572363159-Parts-prices-and-availability

You can also import the inventory (not built) in Studio (useful to build the
set):
— in the build area: https://studiohelp.bricklink.com/hc/en-us/articles/6153757706135-Import-an-official-LEGO-set-in-the-viewport
— as a palette: https://studiohelp.bricklink.com/hc/en-us/articles/5457935385239-Importing-an-official-LEGO-set-as-a-palette

Then upload in a Wanted List: https://studiohelp.bricklink.com/hc/en-us/articles/5705925898135-Upload-as-a-Wanted-List

Other Studio help pages: https://studiohelp.bricklink.com/hc/en-us

Seems like there should be an easy way to identify
pages, bags, etc.

LEGO doesn’t provide the info.
You tried to do it and saw it was a lot of work, why do you think it would be
easier for someone else?

I may try ChatGPT -- which did not work the first time,
but in a word "Help"

In all seriousness, if you don't feel comfortable shipping the order (for
whatever reason), go ahead and cancel it.

I think you have to cancel and hope they don't leave feedback. And if they
do, ignore it based on all the positives you have.

I had a similar one recently, a drop shipper that placed an order, then made
lots of demands on packaging type, speed, amount they were willing to pay for
delivery, photographs of the item. I just cancelled it telling them I could not
comply with their demands. If they leave negative feedback, I'll reply to
it and live with it.

It would be good if BL allowed sellers to cancel orders where the buyer is suspicious

Yes, it is a good suggestion that we could have this option.

Nope. They are not LEGO parts.

Yes, dark brown can also be fragile. If you intend to go ahead with it, you
might want to practice your technique with a less expensive torso. If you haven't
done a lot of arm replacements in the past, there are certain techniques that
are 'safer'.

change the white arms with dark brown ones however I've heard that dark brown
torso pieces from 2010's are usually fragile and easy to crack and I don't
want to crack the torso. Taking out the white arms won't be a problem but
placing the new arms is risky. What should I do ? Should I still remove and change
the arms or just leave it as it is ? Is there a safe way to change the arms without
breaking the torso ?

I got a bunch of those. I`m not sure it is Lego, but also not enough to bin them.
You are looking for this Bionicle (Hero factory) part, but it is different.

I dont recall seeing that part going with Anything Bionicle...

Does it say "LEGO" anywhere on it? Because it don't even look like
Lego ether.

1. List is already in excel, Can I upload directly to BrickLink and/or Rebrickable?
2. Rather than looking up each set separately. Is there a way to get price range
from BL given some flags (Used, Complete, ...)
3. Most parts are sorted (separated sets). I ultimately like to get the 'higher

For example, no point in organizing the Friends sets if those are of low value.
4. I do not have much time to dedicate to this hobby. All sets/parts are stored
in 100+ boxs/oganizers (Ikea and the like). Ideally I'd like to sell all
at once, but need to inventory first to assess fair value.

BrickStore is free and open-source.
It can import/export studio, BL files, and rebrickable.
It's really the best way to manage inventory, orders, your collection, etc.

It may have something to do with weight limits. If an item exceeds the weight
limits you've set up for shipping it may show up as an error message.

Maybe you should have your buyer view this thread and post exactly what item
they're having issues with adding to their cart, including screenshots from
their device. If the buyer can't view the forums, forward any screenshots
they can get of the error message. That way you can learn what is causing this
and how to solve it.

Cheers ...

It's interesting to note that the blog post is from 2018.

If anyone wants a replacement 5 years later TLG might not be able to replace
them. The fact that the longer one waits making it more difficult to get replacements
also is stated in the article.

Yep, I've let them know that there will be some additional VAT/customs fees
beyond the shipping costs they're paying now, and they're okay with it.
Thanks!

You risk breaking the torso taking the arms out and putting new ones in. The
new arms you put in might also be very loose. The only reason why you would
do this is if you had cracked arms already and wanted to replace them, otherwise
it is a very bad idea. You might try to purchase an armless torso and add more
modern dark brown arms to it. There are also similar older and more modern torsos
you could buy and use that might give you the look you want, though a lot of
them have a braid of hair.

Not “directly.”

BL uses XML files.
I think Rebrickable can use CSV files, but they don’t use the same IDs as BL,
so, even if they take BL XML files, Orders or Wanted Lists, and Studio files,
I’m not sure they take CSV files with BL IDs.

You should be able to export in XML from Excel… but I’ll let you search how to
do it

if time is limited.. personally i would just lot up sets with loose bricks &
figures at a fair set price you are happy with.

if very a limited timeframe.. do multiple sets with larger lots of bricks &
figures following a certain genre or theme. ( i.e. 3 castles, a few smaller sets
castle related, could pounds of bricks & handful of figures castle related).

fewer shipments on your end the better & any true collectors has money set aside
for nice higher end large lots like that...

good luck on them. sounds fun

if tax is involved either bricklink will collect it or the buyer will pay
it on delivery. and in your case, it sounds like the buyer will pay for it on
delivery. just make sure you attach the correct documents on the package when
you ship it out (not sure what they are when shipping from America so id ask
the post office or another bricklink user will help out)
