You cannot set such a filter in the "for sale" / browsing menu. It has
been asked for many times but never acted upon.

He doesn't want more money for the same order, just a "better" order.

It's not "a threshold": a minimum sale is a minimum.
It's a policy, a term, a choice from the seller.

Voted No. I think lots of new buyers come with a project / Wanted List and need
to buy from multiple stores from the start.
BL is already complicated enough for new buyers.

I see now that BL already has this optional feature as a seller protection: "Show
only Instant Checkout methods to new buyers". This solves my problem, and
I will withdraw my suggestion.

VAT sellers SHOULD provide a proper more or less legal Invoice showing VAT.
And if it's not a pro, or a pro without VAT, then the Invoice shows no VAT
- at least.
In short, I'm not sure what you mean.
Frankly, as a pro, I'd like something that shows sellers with VAT that are
willing to provide an Invoice WITHOUT VAT to pro sellers (of a different Country).
Few pro sellers are refusing to remove the VAT in this case.
I'm not sure it's even legal, I tried to find the info in EU laws but
failed to - so be it.
In short, a sign "B2B no VAT Invoice available here" would be a nice
addition.

I put it in the tracking field (that I don't use).

Addition: and I use this field as a macro/conditional tag to show it in the Invoice
email.

We use the tracking field for other notes - when the order has been collected
prior invoicing, which carrier/website we used to get the best shipping cost,
when we are awaiting a reply from the buyer in regards to missing pieces etc.
All that gets replaced by the tracking number afterwards. The edit order/order
note feature for this is useless as the notes are not visible at a glance (require
mouse hovering), also require loading of multiple pages just to change the note
AND we can not update our 'notes' on multiple orders at once.
Besides, the location of that field is super convenient for this.
And no, we are not asking to provide us with an additional field - the layout
even with the unnecessary columns disabled is already too wide to fit on a Full
HD (1920*1080) screen. Hence the ask to have the VAD IT not as a field but as
an icon.
We do store the VAT IDs in the 'My Note on User', as well as the phone
numbers - so we do not have to keep asking the same customers for the 30th time.
But even if it would be possible to make that field show up in the invoice via
a Macro Tag - it would not really work because there can be different info in
that field. As is its intended use

You can change the sort settings in your "My Order Settings" here: https://www.bricklink.com/orderSettings.asp?viewFrom=P
If you use the remarks field (as I do), you can sort by remarks and then it will
put your orders in order by the remark keeping you in the same picking section.
There is also a "Show Temporary Checkboxes" option.

Yeah, sorry, I was talking a bit like a journalist
AFAIR, the approximation algorithm should be in O(n²) or O(n³). But it’s all
in the constant factors / operations (database accesses…).
Now, the way I see it is that you had n parts in your WL, and you end with n
parts + n sets or minifigure = 2n items in your WL (best case, when you only
add the “cheapest”), because the feature wouldn’t be useful/asked for if you
only had one part to look for.
Also, those n added items are substitutes: you aren’t looking for items, you’re
looking for couples (part OR substitute-minifig/set). That’s another algorithm
altogether.

There’d still be the problem of defining “cheapest.”

Cheapest is not so difficult to define, it is the actual amount you pay for the
item; the only uncertainty is the shipping costs in relation to the total order
amount as that adds to your total cost. And that only only when you have to compare
shop were this varies greatly.
What you do have to consider is the rest value of the assemblies you find. When
you need e.g. the arms and the legs, and both pairs are on your wanted list,
then both of them have value (But if the torso that's not on your wanted
list does have value to you? Nobody knows.) Even if you find a complete minifigure
to fulfill your need for arms, they also fulfill your need for legs. The value
of the legs for you is defined as what you are currently paying for those legs
while fulfilling your wanted list. It is cyclic, since when you find cheaper
legs, their value is less, and thus the complete minifigure might be not so profitable
to you anymore.

When I started the major part of my collection, I implemented this 'advanced
wanted list' feature in Excel. I did have to feed it with information about
all part compositions that I was considering (mostly the plain and HTF torso
assemblies and the corresponding HTF minifigure assemblies, in the hundreds)
and I did manually pre-select the shops I was considering (also in the hundred).
It was a lot of work, it was very complicated, but it did work.

There’d still be the problem of defining “cheapest.”
1. If it’s about adding the set to your Wanted List, then you may be able to
choose min/max/average/lot-average & for sale/6-months. That’s 8 choices for
a definition of “cheapest,” coupled with New/Used/Any, that’s 32. It’s almost
as complicated a form to fill as doing it yourself
2. If it’s “I have a part in my WL and I want searches to also give me the cheapest
minifigure(s) / set(s) that contain it,” it’s more complicated.
If you’re already in a store, it’s almost simple because the search is limited
to what the store has. But I understood that was not your situation.

this part is in 3 another sets\minifigures in this store - I want to get cart
with all my wanted parts+the cheapest set IN THIS STORE that contain this last

I think I understand what you're asking for now. In my experience, the cheapest
"set" that contains the item is usually the item itself, at least for
parts. I suppose BrickLink could add a feature to the wanted list buy algorithm
that searches not only for the items you want but any items containing them,
but I don't think the results would be much different.

I think I understand what you're asking for now. In my experience, the cheapest
"set" that contains the item is usually the item itself, at least for

I know all the part's numbers\names.
I talking about "wanted list" (if I buy through the wanted list, or if
I search in specific store).
Let's say that I want to buy 3 minufigure A, B, C, minifigure2 and minifigure3.
I don't mind if they are "alone" (only minifigure A, B, C) or with
their items (collectible, A1, B1, C1). If I add them in both option to my wanted
list (6 minifigures: A,B,C,A1,B1,C1), I get store that sell the same minifigure
in both option (A + A1). But I want only to buy each minifigure one time, and
I don't mind if one of them is "collectible", and I want to get store
that sell each one in one option (A+B1+C, or A1+B1+C but not A+A1+B+B1).
Another example: I want to buy some parts that one of them is blue cape. If I
find one store that sell all the items except the cape, and also sell a minifigure
that contain the cape - that great...
(in that example, it really hard to add to my wanted list 50 minifigures that
contain blue cape, and in the search results ignore all the results that contain
more than 1 minifigure that contain blue cape)

You could try the "Appears in" search field.
1. Hold your cursor over the Market tab on the top middle of your screen.
2. Click the "Appears in" link".
3. Under the "view appearance" button there is a link "Find multiple
items in inv." Click this link.
4. Fill in the form with up to 3 parts.
5. Right above "View appearance" you can select sets, parts, minifigures,
gear, or books.
6. Click the "View appearance" button. It will give you all possibilities
that those 3 parts can be in.

| I would love to have the options in the search functionality stored. It was nice
to have a preference in the settings to display them without having to click
the link all the time but seriously, the options should be stored for user friendliness.

I don't like the New wanted list,
I prefer classic must more compact and easy to read, and reliable
after placing and order, I click the wanted list symbol, using classic I find
it a lot easier to remove the items I have just bought
when searching items in the new wanted list layout I find some items do not list
the stores underneath them,

| Let's make this all agile and stuff:
As a BrickLink visitor I would like to see preview images when linking to
BrickLink so my links to BrickLink are clear and comprehensive
There are formats like Open Graph (https://ogp.me/) and Twitter Cards (https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-for-websites/cards/overview/markup)
that enable previews in many common tools and platforms. Think of messengers
(like WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal), team chats (Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams),
Social Media Platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter) and note taking tools (like Keep,
Notion, Dropbox Paper).
For example, I just wanted to make note of some parts for a project (not a MOC
or purely Lego). It would've been nice if I could have added BrickLink-links
to my notes and immediately get a visual overview.
It makes links much more valuable, useful and I bet it improves
click through rates as well. It's also rather easy to implement
as it's about taking data that's already there, and putting it into the
meta-section of the HTML.

| I am not sure if it is possible, but I am wondering if it would be possible to
add an option to add parts with stickers when parting out a set.
Lately I have been parting out a lot of used sets to my store that have parts
with stickers.
Currently you can choose the following options: 1) Include instructions, 2)
Include box, 3) Include extra parts. I am wondering if we could add a fourth
option which is 4) Include parts with stickers and other counterparts.
This would be very helpful.

I have an idea for the buy option on the wanted list.
When there is a part made up of multiple parts (like 33172c01) it could also
search for 33183 and 33172 and add whichever option is cheaper.

I think this law is no problem because as soon as you place the order, you get
the seller details in your order.
In belgium if they are a seller with VAT-number, you can do a lookup and find
out the location of that company.
But then they need to have AND list the VAT-number...
a Suggestion to Bricklink:
when you check out a cart it already states under order summary:
Shipping & Handling
via "shiping method"
to Belgium, Antwerpen 2650 (= my location)
If Bricklink wants it, they could change it to add a "from"
Shipping & Handling
from country, province, postal code (= seller location)
via "shiping method"
to Belgium, Antwerpen 2650
= this would give an easy indication of the store location...
But I agree it would be so helpfull if you could search what stores are nearby.
Nearby your home, or nearby a holiday destination...
On the other hand, certain family members will be happy that this is not a feature..

Yes, now it is very clear.
What you see on screen is a dropdown list with all colors; this is part of the
user interface. This list apparently is currently not filtered on which colors
are actually present in your wanted list. You would like this list to be adaptive
to show only the colors that are used in your wanted list. Similarly to what
happens in a shop's inventory, showing only the categories and colors that
shop actually has. Makes sense.
I don't expect this to be implemented anytime soon though, as changing this
from a static list (= simply all colors in the color table) to a dynamic list
(= select all unique colors from your individual wanted list(s)) might be a burden
on the system (or the system's engineers).

It would be sooooo helpful. Is this possible to suggest this feature to the developers
as a proposal and wait for their answer ?

Note that, by law, EU stores have to give their _exact_ location (IOW, their
address)… but you still need to check store by store.

I agree that there are sellers out there that do not ship right away and will
mark the order as shipped before it has shipped.
The best defense to this is to read the store's feedback and see if other
buyers have mentioned "Slow to ship" or "Did not ship for over a
week". These are tell-tale signs that the seller takes their time shipping
out packages. In my experience, these sellers are also poor communicators.

| Suggestion: Get rid of the XML copy-paste window entirely and just add it to
the list of all the other file types that are already supported for dragging
and dropping.
Other sites allow for XML files to be drag and dropped into their upload section
without needing the code to be copy-pasted. There are a lot of first-time custom
builders wanting to use the BL platform getting hung-up on this feature. As someone
who runs a webstore selling MOC instructions I can tell you this is by far the
most common question I get.

If you are looking at Items for sale, then there should be a "No minimum
purchase" check box that you can tick to view items in stores that have no
minimum purchase.
I'm not sure if it's the same as finding stores with no minimum buy,
but this should help you.

That would even be better indeed.
It's especially very annoying when you are looking to purchase only one or
two small items for a few euros (or dallors) and come in stores that have a min.
buy of 20 euro or more.
So indeed, the possibility to set a treshold value would makes sense.

If they are doing it, then add the same with lot limits too.
Both should allow the user to enter what is acceptable rather than complete exclusion,
as some stores have low minimum buys or high lot limits than don't really
affect placing reasonable orders.

Should be possible: there’s one with Auto-select on the Buy page (checkbox when
you start Auto-select to include/exclude stores when you can’t meet their minbuy).

Already in the rules at https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=41
but not enforceable as the definition of 'shipped' may vary around the
world.
Also, without more in-between statuses, the work process of the seller may dictate
the time an order is flagged as shipped.

Also rural Canadian sellers (such as myself) would mark an order as shipped when
it’s safe in the rural mailbox, but it still has to be picked up by Canada Post
and scanned at a location. In my opinion, the order is shipped when it’s no longer
in the seller’s possession.

Buy a world map and stick a pin in everywhere you buy/sell too.

I had thought of that. My problem is it didn't occur to me unil however many
years later and I can't get the info now. Trying to recompile through my
feedback, I lose about 20% of my orders, but I know they know them all, somewhere.
Also it's way easier if they do it for me. :-p
