Are you sure it's an echeck and not a PayPal system error? I had a May 2nd
order that had the same problem and PayPal had no idea what caused it or how
to fix it. Some kind of system problem they said. I ended up having to cancel
the order.

Maybe Lego should have engineers that blocks you from making a order that is

That way I wouldn't of gotten disappointed an hour later when my order was

But blaming the customer is good too I guess

A better approach would have been to give the customer the limit, then (assuming
some are still available) invite them to order another after 48 hours. That would
give more people a chance to get their first.

Considering you don't actually get charged now and won't until they are
shipped, I would bet that everyone will be charged the stated price of $320 (or

|
I don’t think that’s legal (IANAL, depends on your country, blah): the contract
was sealed with an amount, TLG can’t change it willy-nilly.
The only way out is if the amount was “obviously” wrong… but that doesn’t seem
the case (it’s not a €1000 set at €10).
|
It doesn't stop them on changing prices on bricks and pieces orders.
|
I've never seen that!?
And anyway in EU, it's 100% illegal.
So I highly doubt LEGO does/did this (rencetly anyway), even by error.

Very curious -- will they honor the $250 price for the Observatory on the
Lego Shop rather than the $320 price posted on Bricklink? That's the amount
being authorized by people's cards and PayPal accounts, so it seems likely.
If so, that's a great deal for almost 3,900 parts and a gorgeous build.

It doesn't stop them on changing prices on bricks and pieces orders. They
don't even inform you, they just ship then charge the price on the day. I've
sent an order back to them before because of it. It is a good idea to keep the
email version of the order as that has the prices at the time of the order.
|
That’s a problem: in theory, we think consumers are protected, in practice, it’s
“eh, it’s not that much and you can send it back for a total refund, what do
you want more?”
I mean, even if you kept the package, disputed the charge, and somehow got in
front of a judge, the judgement would be: give the package back, you’ll get your
money back, stop pestering us.
My inner obsessive “rules are rules, it’s not fair” self is silently crying.

I suppose they can cancel the order if the price was wrong, but they could also
ask if you still want it for an extra +XX before cancelling if not.
|
That’s exactly what I think is illegal. Unless the “pre” in “pre-orders” make
it all different.
| Or they could accept the loss, we don't know...

I somehow doubt they will

Before they suspend your account, they must have sent you an specific email with
a file attached.
This file contains your personal informations, it's required to reactivate
your account.
They process this way so they can erase on their side all your data (imagine,
for 100 000's users...)
I don't think there's a way to recover access to this account without
this file.
Hoping it helps -

with a more yellow hue.
I figure Warm Tan is fine as a name, but I figured I should bring attention to

Considering you don't actually get charged now and won't until they are
shipped, I would bet that everyone will be charged the stated price of $320 (or
whatever your price conversion is).
|
I don’t think that’s legal (IANAL, depends on your country, blah): the contract
was sealed with an amount, TLG can’t change it willy-nilly.
|
I suppose they can cancel the order if the price was wrong, but they could also
ask if you still want it for an extra +XX before cancelling if not.
Or they could accept the loss, we don't know...
|
The only way out is if the amount was “obviously” wrong… but that doesn’t seem
the case (it’s not a €1000 set at €10).

It doesn't stop them on changing prices on bricks and pieces orders. They
don't even inform you, they just ship then charge the price on the day. I've
sent an order back to them before because of it. It is a good idea to keep the
email version of the order as that has the prices at the time of the order.

Yes, congratulations. I will sulk a bit about the Science one not getting in,
and move on with my life. *sigh* For now, I think I'll self medicate with
a chocolate Frosty from Wendy's to soothe my pain.

is not yet processed in the order. Hope it goes through as it was my first choice
by far...

No lag here… and the pre-orders started 2h15 ago, not all day.
Or, considering how quick it was, maybe all the US AFOLs were constantly reloading
the page not to miss the start

Seems only North America: my latest orders were in the usual cardboard boxes,
execpt they were filled with brown paper instead of air bags and the boxes were
sealed with strong paper tape instead of being circled with plastic bands.

|
Looks like they corrected the price. I got one at $250, woot!
