Hi, i purchased a set to part out in my store, set 11027 . It is not inventoried
as of yet so I was going to put the parts in manually but there are some parts
not in catalog. There are multiple color 3004 with a black smile line, and a
14769 part that I cannot find. Also a shade of yellow for bricks im not sure
what color it would be under. I would inventory this set but with these issues
I dont know. Any help or suggestions?

https://brickset.com/sets/11027-1/Creative-Neon-Fun

Brickset is a great resource for looking at the LEGO data for inventories. The
new yellow color is Neon Yellow. Search for the 7-digit code printed in the instruction
booklets to look up parts you don't know here on BrickLink.

Please, let's keep this logical. The instruction manuals are getting larger
and larger due to adding less and less parts on each step of the build. If they
were really concerned about an ink issue, the instruction manuals would be getting
smaller or removed entirely.

As far as saving the planet, everything they make is made of plastic. And they
are making more and more of it each year, not less. Companies and capitalism
are fundamentally juxtaposed to saving the planet, because the end goal is to
take as much as you can and grow, grow, grow. That dynamic is never going to
change.

Have a look through the instruction manuals for sets released this year:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogListOld.asp?q=&catType=I&catID=&itemYear=2023

This is the new style for all instruction books. I think they look absolutely
awful now.

And they don't even put the set number on the instructions for 18+ sets.
I find that very annoying.

+1. This really irks me, too.

I heard it was so the ink doesn’t rub off on the new paper bags. But I don’t
know if that is true.
Lego posted on Twitter 10:48 AM • May 23, 2022
“You’ll notice newer Building Instructions have a simpler look, giving more focus
on the model about to be built. Some booklets will also come in an envelope,
and we’re working on an even more sustainable solution!”

You are probably right there. The boxes still need to look good, but instructions
don't matter so much as the consumer has already bought it.

Although I actually prefer images where it is just the product shown, and it
is clear what is in the set. Same with boxes, I like the black ones but I know
I'm in the minority there.

Yeah, right. There are LOADS of black boxes in the +18/Technic range

That Batman instruction really looks like a cheap knock-off product!

TERRIBLE!!

It’s definitely a bad move in the part of Lego. The instructions for many sets
are so bland and boring now

When you are posting, click the Add macro button. It's hidden in plain sight
between the subject line and this text box.

Or just write the code yourself:

Bracket: [
code: P for part, S for set, M for minifig, etc
Equal sign: =
Item number
Close bracket: ]

Set No: 30651 Name: Quidditch Practice polybag
*
30651-1 (Inv) Quidditch Practice polybag
51 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2023
Sets: Harry Potter: Mini

if it's a part or gear, you can get fancy and add a comma and color code
after the item number.

So tell me how you did that? LOL

reply to comment and look how it's written: [ s = 30651 ] (remove spaces
to get same result as Stuart9. 's' for sets, 'p' for parts, 'm'
for minifigures, etc. Or just press the "add macro" button, as that is
quite easy to use.

So, do we have any idea when https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=30651-1&name=Quidditch%20Practice%20polybag&category=%5BHarry%20Potter%5D
will be released in the US? Several reviewers said it was going to be March
1st, but that didn't happen.

I have already informed my husband this is what I want for my birthday. He

Hadn’t realised this from the pictures I’ve seen to date, this image shows what
I regard as a very poor finish.

Seriously, no connection ?

Not impressed.

Because that is a terrible representation of the beams and their connections.

Yes, i agree. Molding a bar 5L or 6L was too much to ask for.
Extending the present 4L one by 1 or 2 studs was much too complicated
and probably seen as unnecessary.
Furthermore, there is an already existing one 6 long #63965 already included
in the set, which might have had fit from the beginning?

However it seems to be good enough for most to spend ~630€ on.

I admit, I'm kind of surprised by this, but I also grew up on Girder and
Panel sets as well as LEGO, so for me things need to be structurally sound.

Seems like a new mold(s) would be in order to make this look superb. Think two
bar holders with female ends that snap together on a simple pin/pivot so that
you can get different angles for the cross connector.

That's the way they are. You can see it in the instructions manual, either
the picture of the designer at the beginning, or in the steps where this is actually
built (3rd book).

I'll be getting it exclusively for the Shards of Narsil I hope this means
more LOTR sets are on the way, all those new molds should be put to as much use
as possible!

Funny that they swapped Sam and Merry's hair colors from the original wave.

TRADE DEAL COMPLETED. ✨✨✨

I received Ray the Castaway set from WantThatLLC. It arrived in perfect condition,
having been extremely well packed for shipping.

Thank You WantThatLLC. I got what I wanted and I hope you did, too.

Trading is possible.

I would like this set for myself to build. I will trade ya for it if you are
willing to box it up for safe shipping to me. My location is near zip code 13501.

I offer $30 worth of stuff from my shop, shipping included. Even trade, no money
needed.

____

You still in search of a Ray's Castaway??

Nah -- I am all set. WantThatLLC and I struck a deal.
It looks like you have an interested trading parter, so I guess you are all set,
too.

I'm curious if most are selling this as a full set or planning to part out?

Trading is possible.

I would like this set for myself to build. I will trade ya for it if you are
willing to box it up for safe shipping to me. My location is near zip code 13501.

I offer $30 worth of stuff from my shop, shipping included. Even trade, no money
needed.

Huh. Impressive quantities. Assuming they are genuine. If so, the sellers could
have priced those parts higher.

Thanks for the offer, I do have a local buyer for cash, but I enjoy trading especially
for my personal collection. With store prices typically slightly above selling
price, I'd do a trade for minifig bat017 (The Riddler), which has a 6 month
price of about $24?

I'll take that deal.

I have reserved the item for you. You can find the direct link to it on your
MY BrickLink page.

Side Note -- Hey! Where did all those newer listing for this minifig come
from. It wasn't that long ago that my listing was about the only one. I
sold one not too long ago for $48 then raised my price, based on extremely limited
supply. I guess other enterprising sellers noticed and added theirs to the pile.
YAY for free enterprise.

Trades have to go through a store, and so any taxes still have to be paid. You

  Hi everyone!

As the set is quite new, I couldn't find any information about this online.

How many bags should this set have? Also - are there any bags with the same number
(like it is common in other sets)?

I ordered mine from a normal shop (not bricklink and also not Lego) and the seals
look damaged (one was even open). My set has 18 bags (no double numbers), but
it only weighs 3332g (compared to the 3404g that it should have according to
bricklink).

Thanks!

I just built this set, it has 18 numbered bags, no steps have multiple bags.
1 unnumbered bag, and a cardboard wrapped baseplate.

hope that helps

Thanks, that helps a lot! I had this unnumbered bag (with plates and energy effect
parts) as well, also the cardboard wrapped baseplate. Wonder why I'm ~70g
off then. Maybe the bricklink information about the weight isn't correct
(because normally I can trust my scale )

Try flipping to the end of the instruction booklet and see what number they have
on the last bag you open. It'll be a good method of knowing unless there
are multiples of any number.

True, didn't think about that, thanks

But then there is always the possibility that there were 2 bags with the same
number (like in other sets), like you've said.

And I'm missing 72g as well - but I guess that no bag is that lightweight.

Whatever floats your boat.
This reproduction has to have value to an elite collector, especially if they
have an original old grey minifig - if anything, it has to be rarer than a genuine.

In New Sets, popsicle writes:
… of a Star Wars Collectible Minifigure Series release?

Never got around to participating in the Collectible Minifigure craze, I'm
admittedly starting from clueless in asking about this
, but nonetheless ~

I gotta believe that it would be extremely well-received and eagerly anticipated
if announced. Can’t think of any obvious hindrances in producing it either, considering
several Disney-held IP’s and Brands have been among LEGO lineups for sometime,
including SW. In other words, there’s history and a track-record.

I’d wager such a product would shatter a few TLG sales records. Kinda seems like
a Lego no-brainer, albeit without knowing details. You’re left wondering, when
considering that The Collectible Minifigure Series has been a boon to LEGO sales
since it’s introduction over a decade ago (hope that ideas-guy/gal got their
deserved promotion)
and since then many themes and ideas have been utilized,
yet no Star Wars?

Could it be the marketing folks of TLG, weighing the strengths of products such
as the periodic sales-incentivizing SW minifig polybag and the extremely popular,
recurring SW advent calendar, against flooding that market-space with the far
less costly Collectible Minifigure?

Or maybe it’s the concern that adding SW to the Collectible Minifigure Series
product line would potentially weaken SW set sales, that’s viewed as unwarranted
and deemed unacceptable? After all, if being candid, without the pull of the
characters of that iconic theme offered through the immensely popular “minifig”,
I honestly don’t believe Star Wars would be a viable product line for TLG today,
much less a blockbuster sales/revenue source. In other words, don’t risk sickening
the gold-egg-laying goose with loads of low-cost and perhaps more exciting new
SW minifigs?

Then there’s the limited number of available popularized-through-movie characters
to use. In which case, they could make a classic version instead of contemporary
or new characters? Maybe do a single run. An actual limited edition, not the
“Limited Edition” Lego of the 2000s

Just some curiosity-spawned erratic thoughts, born of an idiosyncratic attempt
to avoid tasks at hand. In other words, nonsensical to some… So then why write
it out? Hey, it’s cheaper than therapy!

This is probably a question for SW fans out there:

There's an upcoming set, the Inquisitor Transport Scythe with three inquisitor
minifigs.

I believe the Fifth Brother from that set is a remake of the SW0747 from set
75157.

Is the Grand Inquisitor a remake as well? There was a minifig SW0622 from set
75082 which was only named "The Inquisitor." Are they the same character?

And, yes, I had to play through the whole story app to get this info. You are
all welcome.

I just realized that. I’m parting a couple out right now (yay for the new yellow!),
and while figuring out the minifigures I realized the effort it takes to do the
inventory this way. Thanks on behalf of all who will be selling or checking these
sets in the next couple months or years.

That's very kind of you. I am sure the admins are going to have an interesting
time verifing these! Despite my cheeky comment, I do actually enjoy working on
products like these. When LEGO makes something new, we have to figure out how
to make it work with our catalog.

Only the minifigures that are shown completely built in the building instructions
application will have minifigure entries. All of the rest of the minifigure parts
will be listed in the set inventories as parts used for creative play.
