Comments from Submitter:
From the building instructions. There is only one of this items in the set.

This request will not be accepted as the inventory is correct concerning this
part.

One is used on Page 8, Step 2, and the other is used on Page 31, Step 27 in the
right-most call-out.

Co-branded items are items that have another brand name, logo, or trade dress
on the box, in the set contents, or in the set name.

Cheating? Maybe a little, but Toys "R" Us is in BrickLink's set name.
There are additional guidelines on that page that would tend to prohibit this
type of co-branding, but they've been loosely followed going way back:

Set No: TRU01 Name: Toys "R" Us Exclusive Build - Quidditch Tower
*
TRU01-1 (Inv) Toys "R" Us Exclusive Build - Quidditch Tower
38 Parts, 2002
Sets: Building Event: Harry Potter

Set No: TRUKAYAK Name: Toys "R" Us Exclusive Build - Kayak
*
TRUKAYAK-1 (Inv) Toys "R" Us Exclusive Build - Kayak
18 Parts, 2015
Sets: Building Event: Town: City: Recreation

Technically, shouldn't the set name be in curly brackets since it is not
an official name?

{Toys 'R' Us Exclusive Build: Kayak}

Sounds too good to be true.

Sets: DUPLO: DUPLO, Town: Race

* Add 1 Minifig 4555pb245 Duplo Figure, Male, White Legs, White Top with Black Zipper and Racer #2, Round Eyes, Red Aviator Helmet

Comments from Submitter:
Catalogue 1994 UK. Shows the racer figure has the updated look (4555pb245 instead of 4555pb069)

The box pictures clearly show

Minifig No: 4555pb245 Name: Duplo Figure, Male, White Legs, White Top with Black Zipper and Racer #2, Round Eyes, Red Aviator Helmet
*
4555pb245 Duplo Figure, Male, White Legs, White Top with Black Zipper and Racer #2, Round Eyes, Red Aviator Helmet

Request accepted.

Fun fact: This change request actually unorphaned a DUPLO figure that has been
in the BrickLink catalog since 2012!

The Windscreen ist the wrong one. I rebuild the car digital in studio 2.0 an found out, that the 3x10x3 windscreen is not right. Correct is the 2x10x3 (Item No: 24607 Alternate Item No: 35159). Found in Original Instructions, ex. Book 2 Page 42.

Source: set image. You can see on the image the updated look of the minifig's face. Minifig is 4555pb263, not 4555pb057.

this October, that is one full year. I thought you were the one who wants to
solve issues instead of to keep putting them off? Or is that not the case anymore?

*
43102-1 (Inv) Candy Mermaid BeatBox
67 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2021
Sets: Vidiyo: BeatBox
and so on.

These sets contain 16 tiles, 14 of which are random. Shouldn't the random
ones have been blurred out so as not to mislead buyers.

As they're official LEGO images, I don't think it's inappropriate
to use them (and is similar to what is shown on DOTS as there is some randomness
there too), but we should definitely have a note on all VIDIYO Bandmates and
Beat Boxes stating that there are the 1/2 exclusive tiles, and all others are
random. Without the warning we will definitely have issues with buyers not understanding
why it doesn't match.

The ones that are random could be blurred once the submitter has checked inventory
to avoid confusion. One of the things often said here is you get what is in the
image. That is no longer the case.

We do not change official LEGO images that are used to show the sets. The set
inventories will contain information about the randomness of the tiles.

This request will not be accepted.

The proper procedure to add a stickered Counterpart to BrickLink and a set inventory
is as follows:

(1) Add the stickered part to the BrickLink catalog:

https://www.bricklink.com/wantedCatalog.asp?catType=P

Help on adding an item to the BrickLink catalog:

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=71

(2) Add an image to the BrickLink catalog for the stickered part:

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogImageAdd.page?itemType=P

Help on adding an image to the BrickLink catalog:

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=87

(3) Fill out an Inventory Change Request to add the stickered part to the set
inventory after it is approved by a Catalog Associate or Catalog Administrator:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogInvChange.asp?itemType=S

The following videos are great tutorials for the process:

There is not really any good data to go on in regards to this. The original inventories
for the set and the minifigure that contains this helmet do not have sources
listed and I don't have any solid images to go on, so I feel that we can
only look at what is available. And that is the instructions.

Since the instructions show a type of 193b and the image of the minifigure in
the BrickLink catalog also shows a type of 193b, I feel it is enough at this
time to substitute the 193au entry in the inventory of

Minifig No: zip044 Name: Jacket with Zipper - Red, Red Legs, Black Classic Helmet
*
zip044 (Inv) Jacket with Zipper - Red, Red Legs, Black Classic Helmet
Minifigures: Town: Classic Town
with 193bu.

Therefore, this request will not be accepted, but the minifigure inventory will
be adjusted to better align with the image of the figure and instructions.

Cheers,
Randy

  Well, I got my hands on an instruction of set 1496. In those pictures it is clearly
the black helmet 193b1 (Thick Chin Strap - without Visor Dimples). Not that instructions
allways are telling the right story, but I think it is good to add the 193bu
as a counterpart. In that case any black helmet 193au or 193bu will fit this
set. Anyone agrees with me?

Sets: Town: Classic Town: Race

* Add 1 Part 193b2 Black Minifigure, Headgear Helmet Old with Thick Chin Strap - with Visor Dimples (Counterpart)

Comments from Submitter:
I am wondering or the black 193au (193a1 and 193a2) are the right one. Pictures
on the web are not conclusive. Black helmet 193a1 does not excist and black helmet
193a2 is from 1978 till 1986, as set 1496 is from 1987.

Maybe black 193au is not right. Maybe it is 193bu (193b1 and 193b2). It can not be 193b1, because this helmet is from 1984. So maybe it is the black 193b2? It fits the timeline (1978-1987) with the set 1496 from 1987.

Should be fun for those stores that always have everything on sale all the time.
Everything would be lumped in the "Specials" area, leaving nothing in the other
areas!

Comments from Submitter:
Hello,

I think I have stumbled over a problem regarding the Yellow Brick 1 x 4 with Red Danger Stripes on Printed White Background Pattern, mold number 3010p15.

Actually, there are two separate patterns for this brick but one is not recognized by Bricklink catalog. The error affects to my understanding sets 6329, 6422 while in set 6565 the correct pattern appears. This can easily be verified by looking at the the official photos of the sets as also provided by Bricklink. Please, count the number of red stripes or check the color of the pattern in the corners! So a new piece has to be introduced into the catalog and sets with the corresponding numbers should be checked.

In the sets 9287, 4222 and 1106 the brick is also present but I am not completely sure which pattern is there to be found.

Hope this small error can be clarified or removed from the catalog.

Have a nice day
PZ

Since this is not an Inventory Change Request, this request will not be accepted.

You may submit a new part to the BrickLink catalog for consideration using the
following form:

Minifig No: tlm175 Name: Apocalypse Benny - Smile / Scared with Welding Backpack
*
tlm175 (Inv) Apocalypse Benny - Smile / Scared with Welding Backpack
Minifigures: The LEGO Movie 2
which is included in the set inventory, and the other is in the Extra Items section.

This request will not be accepted.

Cheers,
Randy

From sealed set contents.

Annoying: Both the large black "base" and the white roof came loose in the box
so the roof looks more used than new. Maybe I should complain to customer service...

The first thing that I would complain about is the fact that they made that set
in the first place.

  There are many old minifig pics in the catalog. Made with 2010 digital cameras
or so.

So I wonder: does it make sense to update those old - and often not so very clear
- pictures with newer ones?
I understand that the first person who submits the picture receives the credit
for the picture, so this might be a sensitive area.

Today I scanned

Minifig No: twn155  Name: Mayor
*
twn155 (Inv) Mayor
Minifigures: Town
with my Instabrick. With very minor modifications the result is the attached
picture.
Personally I think this is a better picture than the one currently in the catalog.

What do you think?

How true is the color of the tie in your photo?

It's gold, and gold reflects a lot of light.

I fixed the request to change 44302 to 44302b. It should have been 44302a.

Randy

There is a lot of work that needs to be done in the Friends area. The heads are
different and the numbering doesn't follow BL conventions, some entries combine
parts that are printed versus dual-molded, and now this. Unfortunately, Friends
is an area that does not get much love from contributors and needs a champion
to get things moving.

But, yes, this should be combined with all the other Friends stuff.

Cheers,
Randy

  Sorting through my collection of mini doll torso's, I noticed the variety
of body shapes: I found 4 distinct shapes for boy, girl, man and woman. It seems
LDraw does distinguish these 4 shapes, but Bricklink only distinguishes the two
(?) FTFpb000c00 and FTMpb000c00

Could this be a catalog project to renumber the parts and distinguish the shapes
properly? Should we renumber as FTM, FTW, FTB, FTG (Friends Torso Man/Woman/Boy/Girl)?

Man (LDraw 92242):

Part No: FTMpb001c01 Name: Torso Mini Doll Man White Shirt Top with Open Collar, Reddish Brown Tie Pattern, Light Nougat Arms with Hands with White Sleeves
*
FTMpb001c01 Torso Mini Doll Man White Shirt Top with Open Collar, Reddish Brown Tie Pattern, Light Nougat Arms with Hands with White Sleeves
Parts: Mini Doll, Torso
shoulder width 10.2 mm, breast thickness 6.6 mm

Woman (LDraw 92243):
[p=FTFpb014c01]
shoulder width 8.8 mm, breast thickness 6.9 mm

Boy (LDraw u9210):
[p=FTMpb002c01]
shoulder width 8.8 mm, breast thickness 5.5 mm

Girl (LDraw 92241):
[p=FTFpb224c01]
shoulder width 8.8 mm, breast thickness 6.0 mm
