As to "eat as many as you like" I'm sure there some that actually
do eat too many, especially youngsters. I wonder if the company factors that
into their formula? Now I'm curious about the ingredients and efficacy as

do that now, I suppose.

Who knows! I'm content with two a day and a little Vitamin D.

I've never had anything stolen, just a few hiccups on the road. About 4%
of my mail is not delivered. They're almost always waiting for pick up at
the post office. A tiny percentage are sent back. And only 1/1000 have actually
been lost or stolen. I completely gave up on an order once, and it was delivered
7 months later.

You're justified for a full refund, but I'd err on the side of optimism
and eat the costs.

Sure,

Lego keeps track of parts being used in specific colors with Element IDs (Part
Color Codes). And sometimes update them with new numbers to float currently in-use
parts to the top of their filing system. Kinda like renaming an old Word document
to remind yourself that you're still working on it.

There used to be a naming convention for ID #s, but now (I think, 41XXXXX onwards)
they just go up in numerical order.

So,
Color - Element ID - Chronological Order (1,2,3...)

If the box were damaged enough that the seller were able to open the box I'd

(I was about to ask the same question as Sylvain)

This was a fairly expensive order, so I'm wondering how long I should wait
before raising the issue further? Going off of other BL packages with tracking,
recent orders from Germany have taken about 10 days to 2 weeks to arrive - it's
been 9 days now, so would a month be fair?

Yeah that's fair. Unless other buyers mention shipping delays?

In the absence of tracking details or 'delivery attempt was made' post-cards,
you should definitely check your local mail hub once a week. A good amount (about
a fifth) of my undelivered packages are from Germany and they get sent back as
timely as possible.

But the color and size were a bit underwhelming, so the current idea is using
Bright Bluish Violet / Trans-Purple for a bigger and better brick. But haven't
had enough time to come up with a cool MOC, so it's just an idea.

I Googled it, and Google thinks it means self-contained.

That is, the person is asking whether it has a private bathroom or not.

That's a simple enough question, if the receptionist knows what the caller
is talking about.

Cheers ...

Yep!

That was my stupid way of saying "remember to count the parts outside the
vase". I love intuitive miscommunication and letting everyone come to their
own conclusions.

A lot of thinking is instinctual, and logic is our lawyer who does all the talking.

The problem here is that the seller is not sure if it was courier's fault
or your fault (that you were not there, you did not check your mailbox for a
notice from PostNord...)

For this reason, and if you paid via PayPal, what I would do in your place is
that I send a message to the seller and I assure him that I am sure the package
was not delivered or there were no attempt of delivery for this reason, I explain
this is not my fault and It is the responsibility of seller to reship the package
but I offer to pay half of the costs (20 Euro + cost of reshipping) and explain
to him that you can get a full refund from PayPal anyway if he does not resend
it.

If you paid via bank transfer, you don't have any leverage to get your money
back. So in that case, I would just pay the whole payment but explain to this
seller that it is his responsibility to pay for reshipping the same as if the
package gets lost.

This should not be a serious problem and I hope you two can find a solution in
a friendly manner!

Your logic is irrefutable! (Seriously though)

It happens from time to time, unfortunately. In some cases, it's easier to
forgive and forget. If you can, call or visit the local mailing hub every 9 days
for unclaimed packages or shortly after estimated delivery.

*This might not be completely correct or universally true, but certain countries'
seem to get sent back more quickly than others.*

delved too deeply into these since new sets are so difficult to get, but I always
liked them. Several of the figures I got have asymmetrical hands. The thumb
side is smaller than the fingers side. They have LEGO stamped inside their legs,
but I guess it is possible that their hands have been transplanted with something
fake. It doesn't seem super likely, but I don't see anything about the
variant with a quick google search. I thought it might have been a production
change over time, so I checked a couple of the ones in question against Bricklink
photos and the hands on Bricklink are not the variant.

Immediately after posting I thought to sort the Fabuland figures by year released
and I see lots of examples of smaller thumbs.

random number generator I will choose 4 numbers. And you will need to guess which
numbers were there, it is pure random so good luck!
Rules:
1) No more than one reply per person

Good luck everyone!

Post a photo for us to help you?

They could all be the same color. PDG had all sorts of swirls and shades, before
Lego reformulated the color for consistency.

How to open a BrickLink shop:
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2440

By the kilo on ebay / facebook if unsorted. To sell here you would need to have
a store and sort it to sell as individual pieces, or sort into sets.

+1

Hi Gray,

Do a little research on price per kilo (popular categories, minifigures, etc)
if possible, but you should get a reasonable price (for unsorted bulk) on auction
sites. Take lots of pictures!

Examples of bulk by color/category:

The arms have no markings of any kind and two ridges above and below the elbow.

Thanks for the assistance!

Agreed, fake. Real ones also have a thick clip side and a thin side. Yours are
both thin.

On the subject of fake droid arms, Brickarms now makes them with a working elbow
joint. They are pretty sweet.

I resent that you've planted this knowledge in my head.

You can adjust the corresponding WL in store (heart icon menu) and/or add all
parts to a new WL in cart, then remove those quantities from your inventory.

The simplest would be to use BrickStore or Rebrickable.

Hi, welcome to BrickLink!

You can trade with the sellers on BrickLink, but the forum barely gets a trickle
of the total daily traffic. All the big dogs and truffle hunters browse the catalog
and/or use Wanted Lists to find stores. Opening a store lets you notify all the
collectors looking for that minifig.

(sw0472 is currently on 4937 Wanted Lists)

Minifig No: sw0472 Name: Count Dooku - White Hair
*
sw0472 (Inv) Count Dooku - White Hair
Minifigures: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 2
If you have other stuff available, you could list everything below average prices
(less value = reduce less). Then break into a smile, laugh evilly, and raise
your minimum buy to whatever you were hoping to get from the big ticket item.

Do sellers have the option to file old quote requests?

True. Faithful adaptions (if not word-for-frame, in spirit) are few and far between.

I always hope the showrunners have an Oprah moment while endowing side characters

anyone who will follow the rules?

For his part in helping stave-off the evil/darkness that grew in Middle Earth?
And for perhaps after being asked to voluntarily give up the corrupting ring
of power which he possessed for decades, he did?

Elrond and Gandalf would both have known somewhat of that cost for Bilbo. That
although he’d find peace of mind, his body would suffer the effects accelerated
aging. Rivendell with Elrond’s unparalleled Elvish gift of healing, was probably
the one place he could find some amount of bodily comfort before joining the
Elves on their passage. That was the real gift for both Bilbo and Frodo, passage
into the undying lands.

For those that enjoy the works and worlds of Tolkien, read The Silmarillion.
Little more difficult a read, but a beautifully rich story! It was published
posthumously by his son much later than The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings books.
I read it twice just after it was made available in book stores, in Stockholm
at the time.

+1

And re-read the Lord of the Rings! 50 year-old Frodo is the best hobbit and there's
entire chapters the films had to leave out, and The Return of the King has Saruman's
alternate ending (and half-filled with side stories).

I think a certain kinship existed between all Ring-bearers. Even when friendship
and hospitality were not especially earned; Galadriel to Frodo; Frodo to Smeagol.

Elrond allowed the One Ring to be claimed by Men, and may have felt responsible
for how things turned out. And Bilbo, for his part, gave all of Middle-Earth
a second chance.
Will Elrond put up anyone who will follow the rules?

If you speak in Orcish, he replaces the continental breakfast with a crumb of
lembas bread.

After I finished it and ran it around for about 2 minutes checking to make sure

my top 3 and top 5 themes.

1) Harry Potter-I am super passionate about this theme!

Me too! And doubly exciting, HP was one of the first themes to introduce Light
Nougat skin tones. Can't explain why, but it immediately inspired me to customize
(mostly Castle) minifigs into Roman legionnaires and gladiators.

  2) Western

Loved this theme, twice over. Gave away ALL the horses during a Dark Age. Ow.

  3) Castle & Ninjago are pretty much tied
4) Town / City

What is / are your favorite theme(s)?

Cass T

I have soft spots for everything you mentioned, and others like Aquazone, Exo-Force
and Classic Space. But my ride-or-die's have to be Star Wars and Bionicle.

*I'm a nut for the Star Wars' Expanded Universe! Karen Traviss' Republic
Commando series and Timothy Zahn's Thrawn, BioWare RPGs and cinematic trailers,
and Genndy Tartakovsky's animation style. Bionicle is simply my favorite
Lego IP. Especially the comics and story serials/podcasts.

(Test parts and Grangemouth bricks are my unofficial favorites.)

2) Use main keywords:

Always use these first:

hollow stud / blocked stud

dual sided / -dual sided

female / -female

Your results get whittled down fast.

3) Use other keywords:

Then, add in other features:

Don't forget to exclude these features as well with the - sign.

4) Sort the result by Date. If your items came from one lot, they are likely
