As for there is no source (instruction or images) that shows that stickers should be applied on both sided of this par. There are two the same stickers on the sticker sheet but I didn't found any evidence of that.

Only two rubber bands are used in the build. However, this set came with four rubber bands *at all times* and is corroborated by the official part count on the box (cont. 41 pcs/pzs). According to the BrickLink inventory guidelines, these rubber bands are therefore considered Regular Items.

Thanks for the information, Jonas.
When I was looking at sets that were built from sealed set contents on brickshelf
for set 7905, *none* of the strings looked particularly thick to me in any of
the photos, either. One of them showed the cardboard sleeve was the exact same
one we are discussing. I have a strong feeling the inventory for 7905 is wrong.
Also, the image for
looks like thin string to me.
I wonder if there even is a 200cm string in medium thickness...
Definitely thin string in that set, also. See attached image.
I don't know what is going on with the rest of the inventories, but your
photo and all of the information I have pieced together is enough to not change
the inventory of this cardboard sleeve.
Cheers,
Randy

| Hi,
I have just checked the string from my set 8258 (as always: bought new, not mixed
with other sets).
Cardboard sleeve: 4276325
String: Definitely thin (medium thick string from set 6274 for comparison).
Unfortunatly I don't own any other set with 200cm string.
But I have found this:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2985312
Should include a medium thick string according to BL inventory of set 8273...

Not as is for now but
if this part is the correct one in the cardboard sleeve.
But don't think so...
Below picture I took years ago and this is my info:
4276325 - x77cc200 - 1x black - 1x set 7905.jpg
(in my data from own collection and part out sets, it was only found in that
set)
As you can see, it's the same picture here on BL, but someone removed the
black sides

I believe you, but why was your image of the box on

else have your photo and upload it? Just trying to figure this out.

These requests will not be accepted.
This set was inventoried from "Sealed Set Contents" and confirmed from "Sealed
Set Contents". The set image also shows these parts and the LEGO replacements
parts site has all of these listed in the set. Due to all of this, I find it
highly unlikely that they were not included in the set.

The stickers in the set you are trying to add these parts to do not match the
stickers on the parts you are trying to add. They are completely different colors,
even though the pattern is similar. You will need to add the new stickered parts
to the BrickLink catalog before they can be added to the set.

in the generic "Technic" category that I think are equally involved in this stuff.
- There's a generic "Technic" category which includes very random items.
While there was a fanatic impulse of emptying out the "(other)" category, apparently
the "Technic" category is still full of randomness. And it's now the biggest

So... I never used this stuff, but a question to the Technic pros: Do you find

I sometimes have trouble guessing where something is, but the categories aren't
too long and I have memorized some things that were hard before.
It could definitely be improved.

Just call it all technic.

| You got my vote for what it worth, WL should have had this feature right at the
beginning, it's just ridiculous because it makes WL a huge waste of time
to do the job the tool (=the BL website) should do in the first place.
In Suggestions, sandrainnz writes:

The system must have this, otherwise the Buy All feature would not work correctly.
So please can it be an option in the Display pull-down box?

Sorry but they won't be approved without images. General rule is that almost
(because there are some exeptions of course) every item to be approved need to
have image.
Exeptions are:
1) torso for torso assembly - because when you have torso assembly submitted
with image you know how the torso without arms and hands looks like as the print
is the same as in the main torso assembly entry,
2) stickers sheet but only when correct information is submitted in description
so it have to be design id number printed on stickers sheet entered to describtion
by submitter (without it and without image stickers sheets won't be approved),
3) carboard sleevs as they looks the same they just differ by number printed
on it and this number is in description and part number.
From help page (Adding images https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=87):
"Item and image submissions are accomplished separately on different pages. You
do not need to wait for a submitted item to be approved and in the catalog before
you submit images for it. You do not need to be the item's submitter.
The item must simply have been submitted before any image upload is possible.
We encourage image submission to follow as soon as possible after item submission
because an image can help catalog administrators evaluate the item submission.
For more information on item submission, see Adding Items."
So always can sombody elese add images to pending items which are without it.
We wait a month after that period items without images are deleted from pending.

The system must have this, otherwise the Buy All feature would not work correctly.
So please can it be an option in the Display pull-down box?

Hi =)
I recommend Rebrickable for those Things. you can upload the "missing parts list"
to Bricklink at the end.

| Hi, sorry if this has been suggested before but I cannot find it. It would be
great to have an ability to sort a Wanted list on "Difference" which is what
I want minus what I have. Then I can see what is missing and try to borrow the
parts from friends.
(= Want - Have).

| I have added the contents of 49595, a-g, for catalog submission but do not have
images since BL requires minimum sizes and I only have smaller images which I
could not upload.
I am asking that the items be allowed to be added without the photo or allow
the smaller image as having a photo does not seem to be a prerequisite considering
the vast number of empty cape boxes that are being added without photos.
(I'm not questioning why empty cape boxes are trending in the new items added
category, everyone has a thing)
Thank you for your consideration in adding without photo or feel free to add
the photo without me

in most cases the bricklink contact system works as it should.

I need to send attachment a lot of the times (for condition of items) which is
cumbersome if I need to swith messaging channel for that reason.

leads me to "why don't they want bricklink to have a record of this conversation?"

Read my reply on "Admin_Russell" feedback: I don't care if it's processed
by BL or not. I want to use a single channel of communication.

b) Don't send the message in email, but instead send an email notification

Beside main foil pack (U-wing) in this issue was added second one extra foil pack. In my copy it was Imperial Shuttle Pilot which is already in inventory. But in diffrent copies second one foil pack was added different one. Found information on polish blog (in polish unfortunetly) about other possible ones to be found with this issue beside U-wing. So you could buy this magazin with U-wing and second foil pack which could be one of four diffrent ones. Have no idea if there could be more possibilites. Those were confirmed by diffrent people from different parts of country.

Comments from Submitter:
I checked and double checked the instructions for both of these and only 4 rubber bands are used. For the piece #32002 there are 2 dark gray and 2 light gray in each for a total of 4 dark gray and 4 light gray.
|
For the
in Dark Gray, there are eight of them used in the alternate build shown on pages
42 (4x) and 46 (4x) of the instruction book for the purple scorpion. Therefore,
the number of these is correct.
As for the rubber bands, you are correct that there are only four used in either
the main builds or the alternate build. However, this set came with eight rubber
bands *at all times* and is corroborated by the official part count on the box
(CONT. 218 PCS/PZS). According to the BrickLink inventory guidelines, these rubber
bands are therefore considered Regular Items.
Since the inventory is correct concerning all the parts in your requests, these
requests will not be accepted.

I don't know exactly what color it is, but it doesn't look like Dark
Gray or Black in any sets that I have looked at that were built from sealed
sets. The color is sort of a very dark charcoal gray. I have never seen anything
quite like it in LEGO colors, but I don't have any sets with a pneumatic
system. In any case, I believe the color is much closer to Black than Dark Gray
so will accept this request.

| Hi, just asking for your opinion, because I am wondering if there is a need for
inventory of parts sw12v1rightM and sw12v1leftM? I think there is, because my
white axle is broken off and to replace this I have to buy a complete switch!
As there are several parts like the screw, case and white axle, in my opinion,
it is usefull to add a inventory of these parts. What is your opinion? Greets,

The set originally came with the older type of this part

I bought this set with box and everything from Germany few months ago. I can
say the parts are original. Some are yellowed. And yes, all the light gray round
bricks were solid stud. Did the previous owner or owners replaced all 52 open
stud 3062b with solid studs 3062a? All the 52 copies of them? I don't know
if the submitter have an original copy of this set coming with light gray 3062a,
but I believe this inventory change request is correct.
|
Mine, like yours, was bought recently with box etc and - for the most part -
the correct vintage of parts. Also, so far as I am aware, 3062b didn't appear
before 1979, so while it's possible this set was packed with 3062b at some
point during its lifetime, it would originally have had 3062a.
|
Based on year of release I believe that this set must have originally come with
3062a. And it is a very rare part in light gray, so I doubt that someone would
have switched them all out in both of your used sets. It is possible that later
releases of the set came with 3062b, but we can always add it back later as an
alternate if that is the case. For now I am inclined to accept this request,
but I'll leave it open for a day or two to give other owners of this set
the chance to tell us if they found 3062b in their sets.

Thanks for that link. So now we know that both variants came in this set. I'll
accept this request to change the regular part to 3062a and I'll add 3062b
as alternate.

no wonder that the corporate BrickLink employees and developers don't want
to try anything new, either. Everything that is tried receives just whinging
and moaning from the user base. I think I now have a good idea about what drove
Jaclyn away from the site.
In any case, we have heard all of the feedback and will be reversing course on
the inventories. We had planned to make an announcement in a few days concerning
this to ask for feedback on what had been done, but we wanted stuff in place
for users to look at. So this thread was not a complete loss to us, but you did
jump the gun on us, Jonas.
Please bear with us as we work out the kinks.

I've glad that they not have catalog entries of their own.
The only way it will work in actually set inventories, is if there is a way to
part down parts in sets easily. If so, I think it would be good.

I purchased three of these sets some (more then 10) years ago: One from Australia,
one from France and one from Germany. All three were packaged in their opened
box or built once and never took apart. All three had the closed part version
3062a.

Possibly you should be made aware that Bricklink considers its part names and
numbers to be its own proprietary information, and that using them on your own
commerce site might draw unneeded problems. They have taken action at least once
in the past to require another site to stop using the Bricklink part numbers.
As a result, other sites choose to come up with their own part numbering system,
or they use the LDraw names and numbers, which can be used freely with the proper
attribution.
Of course many BL numbers are the numbers actually molded on the parts by LEGO,
and these are probably safe to use. Also, many BL part names and numbers are
from LDraw. These should also be safe to use.
|
Thanks for the advice. Actually I'm not "using" Bricklink part numbers -
my sync system just needs to know what is what, so for that part, it's essential
that my software is able to "speak Bricklinkish" - I imagine that's the same
for BrickOwl and for Brickstock. I don't use it in the shop itself for the
customers. Names/descriptions I'm not using at all, I've described them
in Dutch (which was the most exhausting part of the job )

I'm eager to hear more about your webshop. As far as I've understood
you've been dreaming about it for quite some time now, and finally your on
the way. Do you have something to show? Screenshot? Do you have a markedplan?
How do you decide which features to add? How big development team have you managed
to put together?
Good luck

Thanks! You're right! Someone I know put me on the right track with a content
management system that's featured in my hosting package. I'm essentially
able to do it all by myself, thanks to the versatile system, a bit of programming
skills I do have, and €20 I spent on a programmer to tweak some things It
has been a huge amount of work so far, 1. tweaking the store, 2. writing software
that turns inventory files that I download from Bricklink into the format I need,
3. writing an entire database of all parts and 4. finding rights free pictures
of everything. I really don't want to take anything from Bricklink that was
given by contributers and isn't mine, so I'm really working like crazy
these weeks
I won't go sharing much of it, as I don't want to border on inviting
to buy outside of Bricklink. But anyway my main idea is to make a very white,
minimal site with good overview, and make it all Dutch. I'm going to try
to focus on the Dutch market, since I believe there's an untapped market
there for people who aren't insiders but would buy from a friendly accessable
webstore they can understand easily, and use the payment method they're comfortable
with that isn't featured on Bricklink. Also, having my own store means I
can go and advertise it everywhere. That's alot better than constantly having
to tell people that my store is on some platform called Bricklink.
I don't know if I'm right. I could be wrong, but if so, it'll just
mean one wasted summer If I am right, I could be having some great business
and stability for many years to come. But probably I will be having to boost
my inventory alot more in order for my store to be significant enough by itself.
I hope hierachical category system and independent filters for many part properties
are going to be selling points.
I was willing to gamble some €2000 on having someone build me a store, so if
everything fails, I'm fine with just having wasted a lot of time and still
have all my money - except from the €20

Thanks Marek, that's useful! Looks quite intimidating anyway, all those changes.
I've now put a module into place that recognises "new" parts that have new

then adds the new part and updates the lot with the old part number to zero quantity.
I think that should do the trick

I imagine most parts now have the correct numbers but minifigure can change,
like the extra 0 in SW figs.
|
Yes, I noticed some added 0's in the pattern numbers of some parts, because
the Bricklink number did not match with what Rebrickable thought was the Bricklink
number. I wonder how regularly such things happen. If it's a rare thing then
I should be fine just whiping and reuploading my entire webshop once in a while,
but if it's regular I should think of some way to update these items specifically.

The box art clearly shows that one light gray

By the way, my neat used copy also confirm this. I think this inventory request

that this set came with the light gray plates shown in the instructions, then
we can switch this back (but I doubt)
If you need a high quality photo of the box, let me know.
|
I have looked at photos of used sets and did not find any with the 6x14 plate.
At least none where the photo quality was good enough to recognize the individual
plates. Some photos where very low quality so I could not determine which plates
were used in those sets.

What is your source for this request? Based on set images and instructions the
roof is made of one plate 6 x 12 and two plates 2 x 3.
This would also mean that plate 6 x 14 would have been produced a year earlier
than the oldest set that currently has it. I would like to see some convincing
evidence before I accept this request.

Ah, okay, my fault: no quotes around the region.
And to get the correct values for the region, try this:
— start editing the cell by deleting the region,
— do not validate, just let the text cursor where the region will be,
— go to the page with the colour and select the area (the two columns with colours
IDs and names), the formula should now have the correct region,
— validate.
If that cell now has the correct value, then you can edit the formula again to
add the $ so you can use it in the other cells.

|
Okay, this is obviously beyond my skill set. Anyone like to show me, preferably
via screen shots, exactly how to do this. Please.
|
For the first part:
1. Download the set inventory as Tab-delimited (should give you a “S-NNN-1.txt”
file).
2. Open Excel, open the file from Excel (or drag and drop it), it should give
you an import dialog where you can tweek things (delimiters, how numbers are
read, locale…) but you shouldn’t have to change anything because the tab-delimited
file is pretty simple/default.
You should now have the inventory in a table.
If you want to get colour names instead (or rather, besides) their code, well,
my Excel is a bit rusty (I use LibreOffice now) but this should do it:
1. Download the colour table as Tab-delimited (should give you a “colors.txt”
file).
2. Open it from Excel like above.
Note that it should be possible to cross/match from an external file but I’m
not sure how, so we’ll do it in one file, the one we have the inventory in.
3. Select and copy the first two columns (others are not needed).
4. Go back to the inventory file.
5. Create a new page (it’s cleaner) and paste the colours names and IDs.
6. Add a column in the inventory for the colour names.
7. Use the VLOOKUP function for the first item: “=VLOOKUP( E3 ; region ; 2 )”.
“E3” should be the cell with the colour code for the first item (line 3). “region”
is the whole region with the colours in the second page (e.g. “$Page2.A3.B217”).
“2” is because we want the value in the 2nd column, the colour name.
8. Add a $ before every value in the region (e.g. if it was “$Page2.A3.B217”,
make it “$Page2.$A$3.$B$217”). That will block the values (they won’t change
when the formula is moved or copy-pasted or dragged.
9. Apply the formula all the way down, for all the items by dragging the bottom-right
handle.
Now all the items have the colour code and names.

=VLOOKUP(E3;"$Page2.$A$3.$B$217";2)that's my formula

Not sure if this works different in other language versions of Excel, but based
on how I work with formulas in my Dutch version of Excel I think the correct
version of that formula should be =VLOOKUP(E3;Page2!$A$3:$B$217;2;false)
The false at the end of the formula makes sure that it will only look for the
exact value in the list of colors. Otherwise it will use the nearest value if
your cell E3 has a value that's not in the list of colors.

Maybe your data is wrong? This image was taken directly from the

But, I definitely don't know if that image was always correct for that part,
either. It will be looked into.

Hi
or... the inventory from set 7905 is wrong?
Not as is for now but
if this part is the correct one in the cardboard sleeve.
But don't think so...
Below picture I took years ago and this is my info:
4276325 - x77cc200 - 1x black - 1x set 7905.jpg
(in my data from own collection and part out sets, it was only found in that
set)
As you can see, it's the same picture here on BL, but someone removed the
black sides

disappears).

I have fixed the entries for the paddles. The correct way to handle extras for
alternate items is a bit difficult to see in a set with so many alternates, so
I'll refer to another set that doesn't have as many. That should make
it a bit easier to see.
|
Thanks, I think I understand how it should be done. But, as said, it is not possible
for me to add match ID numbers to the extra items section.
|
That is correct. Only inventories admins can do that. So if this happens in other
sets you'll have to ask us to add the match ID.
| | For part 48729b in set 7641 there is no extra in the inventory. There probably
should be, but we'd need confirmation from sealed set contents before we
can add it. Did you find 48729b in your set? And if you did, was there an extra?
|
Yes and yes.
|
Ok. I have added the extra 48729b to the inventory.

Hi John. The cats in the public viewing room, sitting on used pillows and beds,
have already been cleared for adoption. Most likely, they were waiting in the

a loving home. And as far as shelter employees are concerned, a kind expression
