Found this great condition set at an old friends house!
Lots more pictures taking if you have questions about the set!
Only a few parts where missing, but the instructions where there so it was cool
to see!

Awesome to see! Super cool the box is still in good shape!
Also it happens that it should not be over here in Canada! (Look at item notes)

Good question! Do you think that this is evidence enough to challenge the note?
The original owner bought it new at the store for their kid.

Good question! Do you think that this is evidence enough to challenge the note?
The original owner bought it new at the store for their kid.

Real evidence would be if it shows up in Canadian catalogs or if the box shows
it was produced in Canada. Also, in that period Homemaker Sets / Building Sets
with People were sold with a different number in North America, like

Set No: 196 Name: Antique Car
*
196-1 (Inv) Antique Car
115 Parts, 1975
Sets: Building Set with People: Traffic
versus

Set No: 252 Name: Locomotive with Driver & Passenger
*
252-1 (Inv) Locomotive with Driver & Passenger
115 Parts, 1974
Sets: Building Set with People: Train
Although BrickLink shows a mix of set numbers sold in Europe & Canada versus
USA and Europe versus Canada & USA.

North America also had it's own unique sets later on, like

Set No: 5233  Name: Bedroom
*
5233-1 (Inv) Bedroom
156 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 1980
Sets: Homemaker

Set No: 5235  Name: Schoolroom
*
5235-2 (Inv) Schoolroom
231 Parts, 1982
Sets: Homemaker

So I don't see it as evidence enough to say that this set was also released
in Canada, unless I am missing Canadian info on your box images. Or maybe someone
could check all their Canadian catalogs of 1974 and up. I will ask Russell if
he has a Canadian catalog showing this set.

The original owner bought it new at the store for their kid.

Real evidence would be if it shows up in Canadian catalogs or if the box shows
it was produced in Canada.

A total sum of zero evidence is given for this claim which is of course simply
False.

Samsonite imported some sets without creating or changing parts. Example:

Set No: 7710 Name: Push-Along Passenger Steam Train
*
7710-1 (Inv) Push-Along Passenger Steam Train
412 Parts, 5 Minifigures, 1980
Sets: Train: 4.5V
There is no print "Samsonite" on the box of multiple copies I bought
or saw.
Multiple copies of 103-1 I got or saw do not have any "Samsonite" on
the box and have seen only one image of a copy with "samsonite" printed
on it.

There are also some sets sold in Canada that were not advertised on the Canadian
catalogs.
Promotional sets like 610, 611, 105, 107 are some of them, but I have not seen
646-1 that I own with Canadian box and I am pretty sure (can find other such
sets) there are other sets from 70s and 80s sold in Canada while there were not
advertised in Canada.
So there is nothing to believe a set was sold only if it was printed in a Canadian
catalog or came with a Canadian box.

So these types of evidence or statements, so-called "real evidence" would
result to false result and therefore are not reliable.

Again, these two sets were sold in Canada, have been seen regularly on Canadian
marketplaces, and I bought a huge old lot, consisting or rare items such as 182
with Samsonite stamp on the box, and other sets without box such as an ultra
rare

Set No: 442 Name: Decorator Set
*
442-2 Decorator Set
1969
Sets: Samsonite: Supplemental
and it included 263 and 264. Have seen (on Canadian marketplaces )these two boxes
multiple times without "Samsonite" print on their boxes. Only one time
I have seen the box 264 with Canadian Samsonite print on it.
And no, I have barely seen on Canadian marketplaces any set from 70s and 80s
that was not sold in Canada.

Nice find!

The Homemaker series was probably TLG's first attempt to attract girls to
the world of Lego.
