Yes correct, there are two light gray Bricks 1 x 2:

But on the back of the box, in the alternate model, I see three
They look to be Slope 45 2 x 1 and not Slope 45 3 x 1
Currently there are 41 parts + minifig
Minifig has 4 parts.
Total= 45
But three white parts 2x 6029a and 1x6029b came with sprue:
So the total becomes
Total= 45 - 2 = 43
The piece count on the box is 42. This is a mismatch.
If we add one extra light gray Slope 45 2 x 1, the mismatch would be held!

The minifigure head and torso came preassembled and were only counted as one
piece back then, so the count is correct.

The quantity of the light gray bricks and slopes in the inventory is correct
according to the official online parts list.

Btw., I own this set new in opened box. I just don't know where it is. 
In any case, there is no evidence that this set came with a light gray
so the inventory change request can't be accepted.

You referenced the official Lego's inventory because you kind of agree there
are three 1x2 slopes?
At the end of the day, TLG has made a mistake. Either on piece count or on the
inventory and piece count both!

In any case, there is no evidence that this set came with a light gray
so the inventory change request can't be accepted.
