| I did a little study to find out how my Feedback to Orders ratio looks and I
was disapointed that from all the stores I evaluated, I was at the bottom with
only 55.9% of orders leaving any feedback.
How are some of you getting 66.9% (axaday) to an astounding 92.7% (ghyde) feedback
on your orders?
Here are some other amazing sellers, and their data (as of a few days ago):

I have luck, a split between good and bad, and I ship most of my orders in 1
business day, a majority same day.
I try to be the seller I would want to buy from. Which is an outgrowth of "Be

This is indeed you. I post as soon as I pack the order and I my drive thru message
(which I send on delivery, since Pirateship sends my shipping notification an
hour after I buy the postage) reads:
~~~
Hello again (BUYERNAME)!
you so much for choosing (SELLERSTORENAME) to serve your Lego needs! We hope
this transaction has been as pleasant for you as it has been for us. Thank you
for your patronage, we know there are thousands of stores you could buy from,
we are glad you chose (SELLERSTORENAME).
In the event that something is not right with your order, please contact us ASAP
so we can learn what it will take to make it right.
If we have not earned your positive feedback, please contact us and let us know
what we can do to earn it.
Enjoy your Lego, play well!
Does anyone put a link to the feedback in your drive thru message?
Disclaimer: Feedback from several years ago may not reflect current feedback
ration I might receive when and if I decide to start selling again. I've
been collecting sets to either use in a big project I'm collecting for or
to resell later on if I feel the need to.
I'm lucky that I got as much feedback as I did, it varies from person to
person. I do try to do my best to always give feedback as a buyer. Rarely do
I not give feedback.
Just do your best as a seller to satisfy your customer's needs, and queries
they have about orders, and always be patient and deal with the problems with
the order in good faith, and you should have a happy buyer, even if their order
did not get received as intended.
It's all about how you present yourself to the buyer's enquiries and
how you react to situations that affect their order. Believe me, this is no easy
task.
As a saying goes, paraphrasing, from memory: "You gotta do what you gotta
do to please your customer."
Hope this helps.
Cheers ...
On the other side as a buyer only I am at 96%, 369 feedbacks left out of 384
orders. Most of the "missing" feedback is from the past 10yrs or so.
It's the changing nature of Bricklink.
| I bet one of the bigger contributors to a high ratio is if you give the buyer
feedback immediately. Personally, I don't do this. I wait until the buyer
has either marked it as complete (that's when BL "notifies" me that
I have an action waiting), or leaves me a feedback. That's how I know the
process is over.
Either way, I'm not spending much time worrying about percentages. Just
try to package well, ship quickly, and describe accurately and I'll be fine.
Hey,
Thanks for the compliment! Here are the basics. My shop has a 2-day turnaround,
but mostly I get positive comments on how I pack orders: neatly and carefully
so that nothing gets scratched or damaged in transit. I 'tetris' most
parts so that everything is snug. It's organized so that it's easy to
check your lots. Instructions are shipped in a waterproof envelope and protected
with cardboard. And I triple-count my parts for accuracy. I include a small little
thank you card with each order and send a Drive Thru with the tracking number
once the package is accepted at my post office.
I should also mention that I don't sell very many complete sets or minifigures
so I have a lower amount of casual buyers than your average shop.
Thanks,
~Jen
parts so that everything is snug. It's organized so that it's easy to
check your lots. Instructions are shipped in a waterproof envelope and protected
with cardboard. And I triple-count my parts for accuracy. I include a small little
thank you card with each order and send a Drive Thru with the tracking number
once the package is accepted at my post office.
I should also mention that I don't sell very many complete sets or minifigures
so I have a lower amount of casual buyers than your average shop.
Thanks,
Thank you and You're welcome. My feedback verbiage is almost identical to
yours.
I also protect instructions, flags, and other cloth parts with cardboard.
Can I see a picture of what you mean by "I 'tetris' most parts so
that everything is snug." Does this mean in the packing bag(s) or the shipping
container?
Do you pack 1 lot per bag or some other method?
Pirateship sends a shipping notification with the date/time it will be taken
to the post office. I stand in line daily to get my packages accepted, a requirement
of my shipping insurance and I send the drive thru notice upon delivery.
IOW, I seem to be doing the things that people mention in this thread, but my
FB ratio is showing otherwise.
Ugh, I probably need to stop perseverating on this.
Thanks again for the feedback
With your prices, I would expect every piece in my order to be hermetically sealed
in containers made from precious metals. So I am happy that you give your customers
adequate packing for their outlay.
How are some of you getting 66.9% (axaday) to an astounding 92.7% (ghyde) feedback
on your orders?
Here are some other amazing sellers, and their data (as of a few days ago):
StormChaser : 67.61%
jennnifer : 67.64%
Steller : 68.67%
Nubs_Select : 68.69%
thingsnstuff : 70.77%
1001bricks : 71.88%
kzinti : 73.21%
popsicle : 75.5%
crazylegoman : 77.09%
I imagine older sellers (as in when they registered or were most active) have
higher ratios. A decade ago, I regularly used to get 10 orders in a row with
buyer feedback left. Whereas these days, I find it rare to see a string of 10
in a row.
I think some buyers just don't care. It is quite shocking when you see buyers
with 100s of feedback but have never left one themselves.
Some food for thought:
I'm active as both a buyer and a seller, as well as in the forum.
I started buying and selling on BrickLink in August 2014, six months after The
Lego Movie was released in the USA.
Most of my orders received are for either used parts or custom PDF instruction
manuals, as well as the occasional jar of Grey Poupon or Maille Dijon Original.
I have no minimum buy, lot limit, or fees, but I do charge shipping for parts
(and mustard).
Most of my orders received are for $5.00 or below.
The biggest my store has ever been is a little over 1,000 lots.
I've used instant checkout almost exclusively since 2018.
Almost 80% of my orders received are from USA buyers. The most common states
are California, Texas, Washington, Illinois, Ohio, and Florida.
For international buyers, the most common countries are Canada, the UK, Germany,
Australia, and the Netherlands.
For instructions, most orders ship within 24 hours and are delivered within seconds.
For parts, most orders ship within 1-2 days and are delivered within 1-2 weeks
(USPS First Class).
I don't send drive-thru notifications or feedback reminders.
I wait until the buyer marks the order as completed to leave feedback, or until
sufficient time has passed (1-2 months) that I can assume the buyer is satisfied
with their order.
I've received 468 feedback out of 810 orders received (58%).
How did you get the data?
My drive through doesn't say ANYTHING about feedback. But my feedback says
I am fast and my packaging is good. When it says something other than "Thanks",
it is one of those. If either of those (or probably some other dimensions) really
impress a customer, they may be more likely to go leave feedback.
How did you get the data?
It’s in all the stores. For instance yours: 10,238 orders, 6,552 feedbacks total
= 64% ratio.
