I am new to Bricklink and I'd like to know how to buy my 2 sets when they
are released? It looks like a maximum of 10,000 sets are created and we are allowed
to buy 2 sets, but I can't figure out how or where to actually find those
to purchase? Thank you

I'm sorry but your message is a bit difficult to understand. Which 2 sets
are you looking to buy?

Do a search for your set, then select a store in the Items For Sale list.

I think they are talking about the BDP sets.

The previous BDP (“BDP Invitational”) is over and the sets are not available
for direct purchase any more.  You may find some in BrickLink stores: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=S&catString=1197

The current BDP, “BDP Series 1,” is on-going: the submissions and popular votes
are being examined by BrickLink and the winners will be announced soon.  The
sets will be ready to “crowdfund” in February 2024.

See https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/main.page
and https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/faq.page
for more info.

Ah, I missed the clue about the '10,000 sets,' I was only thinking about
the set releases today.

As I said earlier, these sets aren’t produced any more.

(The ones you list are the oldest ones.  They were made in collaboration with
LEGO before LEGO bought BrickLink.)

There’s still a few for sale in some BL stores… and they are expensive because
they are rare and not produced any more.

For instrance, there’s 15 sellers here selling Löwenstein Castle (mostly New
Sealed) and the prices range from €800 to €1400.  Far from $200.

Again, check this list: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=S&catString=1197
and then check each set and you’ll see if some sellers still have them and if
you accept to pay the price for what is now collectible items.

So those are unavailable to purchase at retail value. But what about new sets
coming out? I'm being told you can only buy from 3rd party sellers at a much
higher price. So how are people buying them for $57.99 - $199.99 before they
go to the marketplace? How can you buy newly released sets?
