| Greetings All,
Lately I am traveling quite a bit for work, and have very little time to invest
in this hobby. My splash page does say that orders will be delayed because of
this.
An ungrateful/impatient &^#$* buyer wrote me about his order, I replied to them
immediately (3 days ago), and now he decided to file an NRS against me.
How bad is an NRS for reputation?
Thank You,
SDH Bricks.

If it's completed the buyer can still leave negative feedback while you won't
be able to leave feedback in response. It also counts as one of three NRS/NSS
strikes that will close the store. Again, if it's completed.
So you might want to take steps to address it now before it's completed.

I have 2 weeks before he can 'finalize'. If I invoice/ship his order
before then, am I 'clean' ?

A lot of buyers will not read Terms or the Splash page. You may want to put this
message on a banner at the top of your store so it is visible on all pages and
there is only a small chance buyers will not see it. I am sure other sellers
will be more than happy to teach you how to do this.
Secondly, if you are going to be absent from your store for longer than 3 days,
you can close your store and leave a message stating "I am going to be out
of town for 5 days but use password (insert password) if you still wish to place
an order."
This will warn ungrateful/impatient &^#$* buyers before they can place an order.
Third and most importantly, due to other marketplaces such as Amazon, new(ish)
buyers expect a certain amount of urgency (entitlement).
I have been buying on Bricklink for 19 years and I would still expect an invoice
within 3 days of placing an order as would most members.

Yeah, blame the buyer for your error; if you don't have time or can't
access your stock to properly run your store, why leave it open?
|
Bravo ... thank you for being so judgmental and not knowing the details of the
story.
The buyer had contacted me and I explained the situation. Nonetheless, he files
an NRS 2 days later. Maybe he's the one who does not read his emails.
I am NOT blaming anyone, I was simply asking how bad is an NRS.
Good luck to you, you'll go far with such attitude.

I must admit he's right - for once - you're at least part of the problem,
if not all.
As of right now, and after having received some replies in forum, you should
already have closed or put a Banner and a Slogan with red background showing
you'll be late processing orders.
Of course, do as you wish.
BTW: there's a help button on BrickLink where you can type the search "NRS",
that can save you to ask in forum and not be happy of the replies

Ah les francais ... toujours a courir au secours des autres. On les appelait
les "avocats des pauvres" a l'epoque. Mais l'attitude n'a
pas changé ... apparemment ca fait partie de la culture de l'hexagone.
I was merely asking for help, and you chose to put me on trial. If you have nothing
of value to add, just keep walking, please. *wink*

Nice French!
But in practice, when: "Lately I am traveling quite a bit for work, and
have very little time to invest in this hobby."
... there's still no warning in banner, slogan or in the terms page of your
shop.

Yikes that’s unfortunate. Perhaps try adding it to the banner also on this https://www.bricklink.com/v2/mystore/display.page
That you are out more and orders can take longer to process so buyers might be
able to see it better.

I would at least add this to the shipping information in your terms page. Then
it would be displayed at checkout. Few people seem to read terms but I imagine
even less read splash pages.

Respond to the NRS in the comment field of the NRS.
It can't be completed because of you've replied to the NRS.
In case the buyer doesn't remove it, contact Admin:

Thank you very much folks. I really appreciate all the help.
The issue is now resolved. Somehow the seller never received my email (Bricklink
did not forward?) and that created all this commotion. He's very reasonable
and we reached a good solution.
Thanks again ... *peace*

| The attached setting might be of use here. It's also good if you are incapacitated
and can't log in to your store before the orders and complaints pile up.
