Hi guys, I'm a relatively new seller (almost 4 months now) and wondering
how I can add off-site payments.

I read you need 3 month of selling experience (which I have) and at least 10
positive feedback (which I also have). I also read somewhere that you need to
contact the site management about this and that's where I get stuck.

I think I submitted two contact messages to the staff but I do not think I received
a reply. I am being cautious here because I also do not see anywhere that I sent
a message so I may just not know where I can find the reply.

I submitted my questions here: https://www.bricklink.com/helpDesk.asp?helpDeskID=114
and I got feedback that the message was sent, but there is nothing in my message
outbox about this, nor anywhere else I can think of.

Anyway, I'd like to accept payment options that are cheaper than paypal and
I also want something for people who do not have paypal. How do I go about this?

Thanks a lot for any pointers!

Oh, the first message was sent 2 weeks ago and then I sent another 1 week ago.
I may be a little impatient, but it says you should get an answer within a few
days.

Bricklink help desk usually takes at least 3 weeks to respond

Help Desk is acknowledged to be very slow right now.

I have gleaned from reading the Forum that the following is the best course of
action. (Please someone correct me if I am reporting anything inaccurately.)

Did you receive a ticket number for your request?

If so, log in here with your BL credentials and look up the status:

https://helpdesk.bricklink.com/Main/

If not, post to the Help Desk Missing Ticket thread here in the Forum and report
your issue.

Good luck,
Jen

Thanks, that is very helpful. Is this supposed to work with the same credentials
as the rest of bricklink or should I register a new account? My pass doesn't
work, and when I use the lost password function it says my account isn't
found, but if I have to create a new account I suppose my ticket will not be
connected to it.

Is there even a link on the site to this page? I haven't found it when I
was looking for where to get help. Am I missing something or is it just really
hard to get this setup?

You need to register with the same e-mail address and (?) the same username.
It’s a separate account but it’s linked.  Don’t ask me how BL managed that….

You should also see your previous tickets (if they were correctly received).

Well, there’s plenty of links… in messages on this forum. *sigh*

Haha, okay. I will do that. So many thanks for the fast replies.

I really thought I was just being stupid, also because I couldn't find this
in the forum. I would imagine more sellers have the same question.

Hello,

I have the same problem. I had contacted the help desk regarding alternative
payment methods, but I never got a ticket.
Somehow this is too complicated for me. Why do I have to contact 2 different
help sites and how do I find out if my request has been received at all?

Greetings, Marion

Hi,

Yes, that there’s a second website¹ on which you need to re-register is a pain.

The thing is, the older form doesn’t always work and either the Help Desk doesn’t
receive your request or you don’t receive the automatic answer with your ticket
number.
There’s even a special forum topic for missing tickets!

Use the second website¹ to check if your request created a ticket.  If not, make
another one.  You’ll also be able to see answers there.

same address as on the main site)

I remember upgrading to seller was super fast, like less than 24 hours.

I registered on this other helpdesk site but unfortunately my tickets are not
there. I made a new one. I'm puzzled as to why there are two separate helpdesks
though. There is so much information there that I couldn't find on here.

Should I make a ticket suggesting they add a link to that helpdesk and remove
the one they have on here?

Also, this forum looks like it's a hundred years old.

Other than that I really like bricklink

Not excusing the length of time it takes now, but there is a lot of verification
that is done today that wasn't years ago.
