We are swamped with work for all of the new sets right now. We will get to those
minifigures when we get a chance. Thanks for your patience.

Cheers,
Randy

Sadly the excessive wait, makes me not want to contribute to the catalog ever
again. I know there is a lot of new sets being added but 6+ months for some figures
to be approved seems outrageous.

We're trying to do something about that. Starting in January of this year
(2023), we are requiring that all new inventories have the minifigures inventoried
as part of the overall set inventorying process.

As recently as two months ago, we had a backlog of items going all the way back
to February of last year. We are now caught up to November of last year, and
we are trying very hard to get to the rest. If you had submitted the items six
plus months ago, they would be in the catalog by now, so the truth is that you
submitted them earlier than six plus months ago. When I look at the pending items,
you submitted them on November 30, 2022, so they should be one of the next things
that we get to in our process of catching up. By the way, November 30 is about
three and a half months ago.

Cheers,
Randy

ok, I was incorrect about the 6 months but it has been a long time now. Bricklink
is now owned by a multi billion, that's billion with a B company. Seems like
they could hire more people to help with the catalog, that's all.

They could but that might well mean higher fees.

They could increase incentive by giving credits to seller fees, even if it's
a few cents off per X amount of approved inventories

I think your having the admin side mixed up with the user side

It'd also help if the inventory system was streamlined, I've tried my
hand at it but it's pretty confusing to say the least (this includes that
portion of the site's layout in general - it is pretty outdated)

Maybe it's just a skill issue on my end though

Yeah, I'm all for incentivizing submitting inventories for sets, but that's
not where the backlog discussed in the OP is happening.

+1 that would be great to have an incentive

I think that'd bring submissions motivated by greed.

Quick I submit something (whatever the errors) and I get a cash incentive.

It may provoke even more delays because of users and serious Catalog/Inventory
people to correct rotten entries

Human nature...

I think the incentive is already there: you get to part it out in your store
and sell it sooner if you do it now instead of waiting for someone else to do
it tomorrow

Your argument ignores the fact that trashcans are very expensive.

A useful starting point for speeding things up and saving a lot of time would
be to import directly the images of new parts from LEGO database. Why reinvent
the wheel and take fresh pictures of everything?

We already use all the LEGO data for inventories and all the LEGO part renders
that aren't terrible. (And some of the ones that are terrible as well.) Why
do you think we use 'fresh pictures of everything?'

Indeed. Now, I just need to find that magic: Add-Qualified-Admin-Now! button.
