Hello,

I feel I have become a victim of a fraud. I have ordered an expensive set on
Friday evening, quickly got invoice which I have immediately paid. But then the
communication from the seller became flaky, after my request he confirmed sending
the item on Monday evening, without telling me the tracking ID. After some communication
I got the tracking ID but it didn't worked in the post company seller mentions
in his terms, some time later he sent me tracking link for other company, that
worked. But it says the package was not yet delivered to the parcel shop, only
the information about the package was entered in the system. Interestingly, this
information was created at the same time (late Monday evening) the seller sent
me a notification about package shipment. Today (Wednesday) the status of the
package hadn't changed. I am really depressed, it was supposed to be a Christmas
gift.

What should I do?

Is it from a Czech store? If so, how long does delivery usually take.

I don't know what couriers are like there, but often information is not updated
very quickly. It could well be posted but not scanned by the courier.

Also, what is the feedback of the store? If they are a long time user with decent
feedback, I'd definitely wait.

its actually from Denmark (to be shipped to Czech)

As I said his communication is flaky, his responses are brief and only partially
complete (look like he just want to prolong the communication not resolve it
efficiently).

What most concerns me, he confirmed sending the package in personal communication,
however, the third day from the claimed shipment, the GLS tracking status is
"The parcel data was entered into the GLS IT system; the parcel was not yet handed
over to GLS.".

  If they are a long time user with decent
feedback, I'd definitely wait.

Well that account has two years of history, but only two (positive) feedbacks
as seller from the past two months and three positive feedback as buyer from
the last two years...

So you accused him of being a scammer after a couple of working days for an international
order? No wonder they are not replying to you.

If you placed an order friday evening, even if he packed it quickly and posted
it saturday it could well be monday or tuesday before it is actually scanned.
And in that time he gets accused of being a scammer.

I'm sorry to hear that. You may want to take a look at this page:

In particular, if the tracking number still shows that the package has not been
shipped within 7 days from the initial order date, you may file a non-shipping
seller (NSS) alert.

However, in this situation, I would advocate patience. Christmas is near and
many BrickLink sellers are experiencing higher than usual sales, which translates
into slower than usual order turnaround times. The postal service is also experiencing
higher than usual volume, which translates into slower than usual delivery times.
And sometimes, it can take a few days for the package to be scanned into the
system and the tracking information to show that it has been shipped. For these
reasons, I would not necessarily accuse the seller of fraud in this situation.

My advice to you is that if you absolutely need an order fulfilled within a certain
timeframe, it is best to leave a note when placing the order. Most sellers will
do their best to meet your needs, but they don't know what those are unless
you tell them explicitly.

Also, did you read the store's terms page? Many sellers will state expected
order turnaround times in their terms, as well as note any potential delays.

BrickLink won't even let you open an NSS until 7 days from the order date.
And just because the tracking shows that the package hasn't been handed over
doesn't mean that it hasn't been shipped. Sometimes, it can take a few
days for the tracking information to update.

What exactly about the seller's communication troubles you? Refrain from
publicly sharing personal information like names or email addresses, but if
you provide some more details, we may be able to determine if it is likely to
be fraud.

in there system, but i will and always do, check on the parcel to morrow morning.

Most likely it is not fraud. The seller's responses are polite and timely
and the GLS website shows that the package has been shipped.

Ummm... I don't see anything remarkable about the seller's correspondence
with you. Yes, they messed up the tracking, but that could just be a result of
inexperience. They got back to you politely and promptly after every message.
You accused them of fraud and they were still nice to you!

At what point did he 'stop communicating' with you?

OK, lets hope it will be fine... but why, in first place, he hadn't sent
me the tracking ID when it was shipped? when I asked for it next day, the ID
didn't worked, when I asked about that, he sent a tracking link where I could
read the package was just registered over the internet, but it was not physically
delivered to the shop, and this status hadn't changed until todays afternoon,
shouldn't all that not raised my concern? maybe its just a chain of some
bad coincidences, we will see next week...

Sellers don’t always provide tracking without being asked.

As the seller said, there was a problem with the sticker.  And as several others
said, data is not always updated immediately.

If you’ve ever ordered from LEGO or Amazon or any other big company, you’ll see
the exact same thing happening: they say it’s shipped, give a number, and the
number is either “created but not presented” or not there at all!

If the seller has good feedback, there’s no real reasons to fear anything yet.

What you've described all sounds fairly normal to me. You mention that this
particular member has only two feedbacks as a seller, so they are probably still
learning. You can usually find the tracking number on the order details page
on BrickLink or the transaction details page on PayPal if you paid via PayPal.
I'm not familiar with GLS but USPS tracking can take 1-2 days to show that
the package has been shipped after it has been dropped off at the post office.
Nothing that you've described suggests fraud to me.

The package finally arrived on Friday. I am very sorry that I suspected the seller
of fraud. Everything was perfectly fine in the end. It's a lesson for me
to be more patient and not be thrown off by minor setbacks. Thank you all for

that bad

I just had an order that was placed on November 29 ship (not received!) yesterday.

But Lego S@H is usually fairly prompt.
