Thanks! It is strange that this is a 1x2 tile with groove, but that there is
no 'b' in the part number...

I don't think I would have ever guessed those keywords. No mention of dots/spots
or stripes or description of identifiable parts of the print, unless you know
what it is.

FWIW it does come up pretty quickly under

"white tile 1x2 pattern -sticker"

Presumably that is just luck where it occurs in the list. If it had been on the
last page, it would have taken longer. I'm guessing there is no artificial
intelligence that puts parts with bad descriptions higher up in searches.

This piece was on the last page using that search ...
[p=3069bpb0650]

Luckily that one has a bit of description too to help in a search and is not
just called "Olaf Mouth" based on its use. I doubt many people finding it in
a mixed box would know it is Olaf's Mouth and hence a description of what
is actually on the tile rather than the function in the (unknown) set is useful.

True, it is just dumb luck - the description/keywords could be a lot better.

+1

Can anything be done for the 3 Ids that don’t say ‘3069b’?  (Considering the
dates, I’m about sure none of them exist without groove, no?)

The one above has a number that came from LDraw. We would have to destroy that
connection if we want to renumber it. I believe it would be better to make it
consistent with the BrickLink numbering system, though. I will see what the site
thinks.

Cheers,
Randy

LDraw moved those parts to 3069b a long time ago

In December 2009,
3069p30 became 3069bp50 (not a typo)
3069p12 became 3069bp12

3069px5 isn’t in LDraw as such¹.  Peeron?

(¹ It’s 3069bp08.dat.  3069bpx5.dat in LDraw matches BL 3069bpb487.)

Thank you Randy, this solved two of my problems .
All we need now is a image with a groove for this part.
