Hi,

I bought and completed 8460. It was missing every part of the ”thing” on instructions
page 16: the yellow/black technics bricks that build the wide skeleton thing
on top (7 parts).

What is it (there are two of them)? It doesn’t seem to become used.

Did you buy a used one?

It looks like it attaches where the wheels eventually go. Could it be holding
things steady while you continue to build and then pull it off to put the wheels
on when it is more stable?

I believe you are correct, I purchased a technic truck that did the same thing.

It is temporarily used to keep the steering in place while you build the next
step. It is then removed and the parts are used elsewhere in the build.

I thought it could be scaffolding as the missing parts were identical.

For stupid me it should have been marked somehow differently.

Case closed, thanks so much folks!
