Hello everyone,

Is anyone else having an issue with Brickpacker having lost its' connection
to Bricklink today? I've checked the API, and renewed and re entered the
consumer key secret and created an re entered the token secret but still won't
connect.

Any and all advice greatly appreciated

I am having the same problem and have done the same as you and the problem is
still there. I also tried deleted and made a new Access Token and that didn't

I currently don't see any issues with my application or sync solution, it
could still be an issue on BL side, but I haven't noticed anything.

Just wanted to share that everything is working for us.

I currently don't see any issues with my application or sync solution, it

The issue seems to be that Bricklink is blocking all connections from the Brickpacker
server and as a result all functions accessing BrickLink fail. I have submitted
a ticket this morning but this ticked has not yet been addressed and access
has not yet been restored.

- You get a clear error message when you go over the limit, your connection isn't
blocked.

A while ago BL blocked some IP addresses for generating too much traffic. As
I understand BrickPacker, it hosts multiple shops on one (or very few) IP address(es).
Although each seller might stay under 5000 API requests, the sum of all that
traffic coming from one IP address may hit that other traffic limit.

Yes, that makes more sense, except that BrickFreedom and some other services
do the same or have more traffic. Maybe they are already whitelisted, or BrickPacker
does something unusual, I don't know.

I had an order placed at 8:01 p.m. that went through fine. So within that one
hour timeframe was when it went down.

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure whether automatic synching is activated again yet (I'm
sure Gerrit will advise), but BrickPacker is now connecting to Bricklink Again.

And also thanks to Gerrit for creating the software in the first place, as the
saying goes 'you don't know what you've got til its gone'.



Also, thank you to Gerrit and whichever admin managed to get this sorted so
quickly.

Yes, the next day it worked again, do you know what the admins did? I don't.

There is no reason to assume you were right about it being the API call limit
with the current information we have. It is a non sequitur.

The API call limit is per security token/seller, it is not bound to your IP address.
The IP address you can add is just extra security. For both the limit and using
the wrong IP you will get a clear error message from the API.

I think that BrickPacker exceeding traffic might make more sense.

Personally, I would not wait for midnight EDT (depending on how long that will
take), for busy stores that might cause issues when syncing inventory. Overselling
isn't fun...

To be honest, I would really like to know what happened so that I can prevent
it from happening to my software.
