| I've often wondered how well damaged parts would sell. I understand a cracked
Boba arm or a scratched chrome Stormtrooper helmet being worth something and
scratched knicked bricks being used for filler but does a 4485 red hat with a
scratch or knick ever sell?
Just curious.

| I've sold hundreds (probably thousands) of damaged parts (that were described
as damaged) some common parts and some rare parts so there is defiantly a market
for them

I came across a 1x2 tile (not in your shop) that was for sale for 2 cents with
the description: "one of the corners has a slight dent". Typing this when you
list ONE part of two cents seems to me a waste of time. But each to their own.

If it is a lot of the same part, I'd say yes. We've used "play worthy
condition" or "filler" for things of this nature. If it's 1 or 2 parts I'd
probly say Fair condition/Ask for pictures. Filler 2x4 bricks are a hot commodity
for us. Other sizes usually just go in the trash.

| it's a complicated reason that wouldnt make much sense if I tried to articulate
it in words It's not filler and it's not damaged but it's not
undamaged ya know?

| We picked up some bulk a year ago, like 60 lots 60,000 parts. Guy was making
flags and had abandoned it. There were alot of the parts were from the 80s and
90s. yellowed whites, brittle blue. We trashed more bricks than I would have
liked to but had to get creative with equally as much. 75% of it was good used
to new condition though so, it worked out great.

| Mine is more for more like standard items not even bricks per say but even tho
used items are supposed to have some wear (it's in the name USED) I still
feel weird listing them as such for common bricks since they still have wear
where I don't check every brick for like 10 seconds (yes I have done that
way to much) and now Im trying out something different to save time without sacrificing
quality. This is probs a bad explanation

Actually the explanation is very good. I have wondered the very same thing -
how to list used parts where the occasional one may be a bit more scratched up
then others. The problem is getting the wording right so that you dont to scare
people away from buying the parts because they may think that they will receive
damaged parts but you know that most all of them will be in good shape but at
the same time, when sorting, you dont want to spend to a lot of time with each
part checking for ones that are damaged just a bit more then others so the occasional
scratched one may get by you. The quite damaged pieces are usually easy to pick
out but others not so easy. I hope what I am saying makes cents (at least
a couple of).
Jim
