| I have a buyer who ordered and completed instant payment at checkout, but now
wishes to cancel the order. He says that when he enters the order number in
the "Problem Order" page he does not get an option to cancel.
I wondered if the fact that the status is paid prevents canceling. Is there
a way to cancel a paid order through the system and give him a refund?
Thanks!

| Order Cancellation Policy
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=79
| Invalid Reasons:
Buyer no longer wants the items - This is the most common example which BrickLink does not tolerate. Buyer should make sure he or she wants to buy the items before submitting an order, not after. After an order is submitted, the buyer enters into a legally binding contract with the seller to purchase all items in that order.

| While I appreciate your reply, I am quite familiar with the Order Cancellation
Policy. One valid reason is "mutual agreement between buyer and seller". I
have not shared all the communication and reasons behind the buyer's wish
to cancel, but I believe he should be allowed to cancel using "mutual agreement".
What I am unfamiliar with is a buyer wanting to cancel after instant payment
at checkout. The buyer tried unsuccessfully to file an OCR. My question is
whether the fact that the order is paid is preventing the system from accepting
it, and, if so, whether there is another way to cancel.
