Order Cancellation Policy

The following are some but not all reasons for which you can request an order to be cancelled:

Buyer:
Valid Reasons:
  1. Mutual agreement to cancel between buyer and seller
  2. Seller did not respond to emails
  3. Seller did not have items after order was submitted
  4. Seller listed item with error
  5. Seller provided a shipping fee that was too high (not clearly stated in T&C)
  6. Seller is using an exchange rate inconsistent with Exchange Rate Policy
  7. Seller did not ship order after payment was made
  8. Seller is underage (under 18 years old)
  9. Seller is no longer registered
  10. System problem during order submission (excluding not receiving order notification e-mail)
Invalid Reasons:
  1. Buyer no longer wants the items - This is the most common example which BrickLink does not consider valid. The buyer should make sure they want to buy the items before submitting an order, not after. After an order is submitted, the buyer enters into a legally binding contract with the seller to purchase all items in that order.

  2. Buyer found items cheaper somewhere else - The buyer should be confident they are ready to pay the asking prices before submitting an order. After an order is submitted, the buyer enters into a legally binding contract with the seller to purchase all items in that order.
Seller:
Valid Reasons:
  1. Mutual agreement to cancel between buyer and seller
  2. Buyer's email address bounced
  3. Buyer did not pay for order
  4. Buyer did not respond to emails
  5. Buyer did not comply with store terms
  6. Buyer does not have enough funds to pay
  7. Buyer demanded a lower price on items
  8. Buyer submitted a bogus order
  9. Buyer no longer wants to purchase items
  10. Buyer found items elsewhere
  11. Package cannot be delivered to buyer's address
  12. Package returned with incorrect address
  13. Buyer is underage (under 18 years old)
  14. Buyer is no longer registered
  15. System problem during order submission (excluding not receiving order notification e-mail)
  16. Buyer requested falsifying customs declarations or requested the order be marked as "gift" in order to avoid customs fees.
Invalid Reasons:
  1. Seller not wanting to sell items they have after an order is submitted
  2. Seller canceling a successful order with the intent of receiving a fee refund from BrickLink for that order.
