Just discovered this new website called “BrickLink”. Features a catalog with
just about everything the LEGO Group has ever produced and a marketplace where
members can buy and sell items. Also features its own design software and a gallery
where people can share the things they have created with it. Is it a scam? Seems
too good to be true.

Might just be a scam since they said if the new photo is better than the old
one they will accept it but then got rid of like 20 new photos I added that were
better than the old ones (then again maybe I don't need to merge 4 photos
into every photo )

We didn't get rid of any of them. They were added as additional images.

(then again maybe I don't need to merge 4 photos

We don't usually use photos of parts showing different angles like that for
the main default image or color images but it's nice to have them as additional
photos when showing different aspects of parts can be helpful.

If you want to resubmit images of those parts but with just a single view from
an optimal angle then yes they will most likely be used as the main or color
images.

Thanks
Paul.

Thanks, for the update! (I do apologize I somehow missed them as additional images
except for the one)

Sounds good! I'll try to first upload new images for parts and after they
are approved (positive thinking ) ill also submit an additional one if it's
a unique part from different angles to get it as an additional image.

  Thanks
Paul.

Thankyou also!

I have it on good authority and I strongly believe it will turn into an exclusive
pizza-only market by 2030 where you can only buy stuff with NFTs

No, Schrodinger's cat. Bricklink is both dead and alive and we do not know
until we click on the link to view it.

It was a real thing, six years ago!
Seller's asking buyers to ask for pictures - pffft
How many pictures do they require exactly?
If anything this is more expensive than a signed edition, without the ultra-cute
sketch.
I chewed the arse outta this box trying to temove the pieces to build "em like
I did with the Bounty Hunter edition 🙄
I would love to see what #1138 of this set looks like!@#$%

After all the scams reported here, you question someone asking for pictures.

How many pictures do they require exactly?

As many as they want. Many sellers use stock photos. I never did. Anyone can
put up stock pictures whether they have the item or not.

If anything this is more expensive than a signed edition, without the ultra-cute
sketch.

There are some collectors that think a signature decreases the value.

Part being a seller and part being a member is helping other members for whatever
reasons. They might come back later and buy because you were nice, not grumpy.
I did what sellers asked. Sellers could spend time helping other buyers and AFOLs
or
just sit here reading, with a moronic look on there face, this forum or
watching shuffle-dancing women on YouTube.

Thank you. I just think that sellers get too wrapped up in making money. Very
few on Bricklink make a living off of selling. I looked at doing what the buyer
wanted and never though the money was in my pocket until well after the payment.
Selling was hard but fun. I met so many good people and was happy that the
vast majority of my sales went to collectors. I missed each and every Lego but
glad they went to people that appreciated them. Many sellers turn selling into
a competition between them and the buyer.

It CAN'T be real.

In addition to all the goodies you describe is this thing they call the Price
Guide. It shows everything bought and sold all over the world and at what prices
and quantities. It shows the prices of every merchant so that it is possible
to shop around for the best deals and makes it possible for every merchant to
see what prices every one of their competitors are selling stuff for.

In real life, any other industry would KILL to have that information available
for FREE without having to pay people to go and spy on their competitors to find
out what price deals are being offered.

Yes, they do! And the best part is, they have an awesome community of people
united by a common love of little plastic building blocks!

Only the ones that have been catalogued there are still (presumably) thousands
of stickers parts not yet added and many obscure parts waiting to be found and
