| I know this issue pops up from time to time, but I wanted to get opinions on
how to proceed.
I had a newer buyer, with three positive feedback, place an order in my store.
Unfortunately, their address is invalid and is flagging my shipping software
(Pirate ship) and Paypal/Shipstation. It appears the forgot the house number,
as I looked up their incomplete address and see about six addresses that are
on that road.
I've already tried contacting the buyer to update their address through Bricklink
contact and have not gotten a response.
Now my question is, would it be appropriate to contact the sellers who have already
left feedback and ask if the correct address was provided to them? The buyer
had two orders within this last week, right around when they ordered from me,
and their first feedback was about three weeks ago.
Second, I found the house number on the internet... Which opens up a whole new
can of worms regarding privacy, but it is what it is. Would you recommend shipping
to that address if I never hear anything back?

Contact them directly via email as well as through BrickLink. BL messages sometimes
end up in spam folders.

Thanks, that's not a bad idea. I used to have the messages going to spam
problem quite a bit a few years ago, but had thought maybe it had been addressed
more recently.

| Is the house number also missing from the Bricklink order? If not the other sellers
probably used that.

Yes, the house number is missing from both Bricklink and PayPal address.

I don’t know where your customer comes from or how it is in other countries,
but here in Sweden there are addresses that do not have a house numbers.

It's in the United States. Like I mentioned before, I googled the street
and there are six address on the street. The last name of the customer also
produces the house number, but since it wasn't provided and you can lose
seller protection privileges with PayPal by not shipping to the address provided,
I did not want to go that route.
We'll see if they respond to the direct email. It was sent to both the Bricklink
buyer email and whoever the PayPal account (family member) is associated with.

You could ship to the supplued address in the order, and also include "Number
X" on the front of the package. If there are only six houses it might be that
they all know each other anyway.
One issue is that if the buyer does supply the number by email, you are still
not strictly shipping to the correct address in the order but presumably the
zip code and street natch. What paypal will do if the buyer complains, who knows.

But they may not be honest neighbours.
I used to live at 31. One time an order was shipped to me from Europe where the
seller had hand written the address with the 1 with the top line overly extended
so it looked more like a 7.
(When I enquired about it they sent me a photo of the parcel they took before
shipping)
It never arrived. I suspect it was delivered to number 37 but they denied all
knowledge of ever receiving it when I paid them a visit.

Sure, it's the difference between small and larger communities.
All the seller can really do if they want to be fully covered is refund and cancel
this order, losing out on the PayPal fee.

Cancel and refund if the address is incomplete, otherwise if it gets lost or
not delivered, you will lose any Paypal case the buyer might open. I also recommend
trying to reach the buyer by email directly - I often Write "Please Read " in
the Subject line and then the BL Order number. Sometimes it works. Good luck.
