| There are two versions of this stands: one with a cutout area 2x2, one without.
Both of them have the imprinted number 2641.

Can you confirm that there are no other differences? For example the main support
beam is the same size and shape on both?
If its only the underside of the top plate with any differences I think its sufficient
to add a note to the catalog entry and your image for reference. Neither set
these are used in relies on the different design during the build.
Thanks,
Paul.

According to LDraw, there’s actually 3 versions:
2641a Support Crane Stand Single with Curved Join (“curved join” is the pointy
join between the underside of the plate and the support)
2541b Support Crane Stand Single with Curved Join Reinforced (there’s two struts
on each side of the join)
2541c Support Crane Stand Single with Rectangular Join (the “cut” version, with
a full 2x2 plate)
I’d say there’s a functional difference between C’s and A, B’s undersides (7
antistuds instead of 5).

Make that "6 antistuds instead of 5" and I agree.
Niek.

Sorry for letting you wait so long. I had to find this item again - and now I
was successful. So, there is no other difference than the one we discussed here.
The support beam has the same size and shape, also the cross supports inside
the support beam are the same size / place.
Best regards,
Marc

This part will be split then as they are functionally different in regards to
building possibilities. Thanks for the information.
Cheers,
Randy

Not quite sure the reason for the delay in getting this accomplished.
A catalog submission was made on August 25th, 2001:
| | 2641B Support Crane Stand Single with 6 stud holders on top plate (don't delete - there is also a forum request relating to this - PR) Parts: (Other) Pending Approval |
I added the other version today with an image:
[P=2641a]
Since the decision was made to split the part, all the pieces are in place now.
I encourage the catalog experts to complete these approvals and the other minor
necessary work, followed by closing out this request.
