I just started to buy on bricklink, but i noticed that half of the sellers wait
to give feedback aslong I not have giving them feedback.

Why is it like that?

As a buyer my part is done as soon I have paid. Why does the sellers wait or
even never give feedback?
I not really care for my numbers of feedback because i will only buy. Aslong
the seller dont give feedback I will also not rate them. Or should I give neutral
rating cause of the lack of them giving feedback?

Some say a transaction is completed only after the buyers says it is.
Some sellers leave feedback in batches once a week/month/3 months/6 months.

You can always send a message to the seller and ask to leave feedback or
to inform them you would gladly leave feedback once the seller leaves feedback.

Feedback is voluntary from both sides. I would not leave neutrals for not leaving
feedback.
You can protest with your wallet by least favorite the store or add a note to
member.

As a seller I give feedback once the buyer sets order to completed, or gave feedback.
It's up to the seller and it's up to the buyer if and when they give
feedback.

Giving a neutral feedback to a seller with a very high rate of positive feedback
tells more about you then about the seller!

If your order is fine you should give a positive feedback.
Looks like you do care about your numbers of feedback.
If I were you, I would remove that neutral you gave today.

It's my personal opinion, but sellers should give feedback after order is
paid or shipped, that's it.

Many sellers feel that they can’t rate a transaction until the buyer has completed
it. You argue that payment is all that is expected of you, but one can argue
that how you handle any perceived problems with an order should also be taken
into account.

Our feedback system works differently than most. The neutral you left this unsuspecting
seller actually counts as a negative for their store’s percentage.

Also, feedback is not required for a transaction, so is it quite fair to give
poor feedback for not receiving it?

Leaving neutral because a seller didn't leave you "positive" feedback in
a timely manner sounds retaliatory on your part. The seller has a mention right
on their terms page that the feedback system is NOT for communication, asking
that you contact the store if you have questions/problems. If you want the seller
to leave you feedback why not send them a quick message asking what their procedure
is. Maybe they want you to leave a feedback letting them know all was well first.

no The bricklink feedback system is not for communication.

There is no rule about when or how feedback should be left.

The store you left the retaliatory feedback has over 12,000 feedbacks and only
one of those is a neutral and no negatives. There are very few stores with over
12,000 feedbacks with only one neutral feedbacks and now you have made it two
simply because he did not leave you a feedback? That is basically just being
retaliatory. You should really consider removing your retaliatory feedback against
this store - other stores that see this post will block you from shopping in
their stores not wanting to also receive a bad retaliatory feedback because of
not leaving you a positive feedback quick enough.

Unfortunately, this isn't forbidden, you can even put a Negative and say
"Excellent shop"

The shop owner has to talk kindly with him.

I agree he'll be banned from many shops, at least the ones reading forum.

Original poster has to understand feedback is OPTIONAL, and may be given whenever
people want.

As a new buyer you should ask these questions( or search the forums) before leaving
an unwarranted and totally unjustified neutral feedback

As someone else mentioned it is just retaliation for no reason

Also you have probably landed on the block list of 100/1000’s of European sellers.

As a seller I indeed offer simple feedback in batches when time allows.

Sellers generally send feedback on completion of the order process,and from your
point of view this means receiving, checking your order. If there are issues
you communicate with the seller to get resolution. Once this process is completed
you can then leave feedback of your choice to acknowledge completion of the order.
At this point the seller can also leave feedback knowing the the order is completed
and any issues have been sorted.

You leaving a neutral feedback which effectively is a negative and is scored
the same, is in my opinion is it acceptable.

Feedback is not compulsory so having this rant is totally unnecessary.

New buyers and we sellers should really try to understand the processes better

how many sellers have added you to their stoplists already?

Feedback is optional and can not be forced by either buyers or sellers. If you
want the seller to leave you feedback then maybe start by leaving the seller
positive feedback and then send a polite message asking them to do the same.

leaving a negative or neutral feedback for not receiving feedback is a big no
no.

In these type of incidents the negative should be removed by BL. Shops reputations
shouldn’t be affected by people not understanding the system

Despite the OP said he is clearly desperate for feedback but resorting to feedback

In my opinion, and mostly backed up by the site as well, a seller should only
leave feedback once the order is marked as complete or feedback is left for the
seller. Bricklink does not notify the seller that there is feedback to be left
until that happens.

As others have mentioned as well, a buyer could pay and then just leave you a
negative feedback for no reason and with no communication given after they receive
their order. Other sellers should be made aware of this buyer as it’s clearly
negative behavior.

As many mentioned, the seller should put the order as Complete (i did nearly
3 months ago)

It is NOT correct for sellers to mark an order Complete. They can do it, and
some do, but it is really up to the buyer.

  My order status has now 17 completed (the ones with a feedback is put into, filed
or something like that)

Its just annoying to tell 60% of sellers to leave a feedback. If thats the norm
BL isnt for me I guess.

Sorry you feel that way. You've placed a very high value on the feedback.
What on earth do you need it for? Are you here to buy LEGO or a digital number
next to your name?
  
And btw, till now you still havent left a feedback.

The fact that every answer you received said that you were in the wrong has made
no impression upon you apparently. That's too bad.

Though I understand the sentiment, it's misguided. Please consider three
short points:

1) Feedback is technically not a component of the "completed transaction" but
an optional post-transactional feature. You don’t need to participate, but if
you do, rating the completed purchase from the seller, is what benefits subsequent
prospective buyers.

2) It's neutral in name only, within the context of the BL feedback system.
In other words, the use of it reflects dissatisfaction with the purchase, which
considering your feedback wording, is not the case.

3) Fundamentally, we transact (as buyers) for our Lego needs/wants, not feedback.

Like I said though, it’s understandable. The “neutral” remains commonly misunderstood
and therefore a contentious issue on the site: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=868453

Buyers like this are the exact reason I wait until I receive feedback to leave
feedback. I've been selling online since the late 90s and its always people
who "think" it should be 1 way and leave negs or neutrals that can turn an otherwise
great experience into a negative one. This and shipping! OmG YoU SeNt It AlL
iN oNe BaG iT cOuLd HaVe BeEn DaMaGeD!!!!11!1! Well was it damaged? No. Then
why the negative?? lol
