| Hey!
I have been digging through my collection and realized I have some pretty expensive
and sought-after mini-figures. I would like to sell them, the only issue is,
that I modified them.
For example, I had 2 Courscant Gaurd Clone Troopers.
I changed the head to match the skin tone of the current clones. (I sold the
old ones)
I changed the hips from black to white to match 501st clones.
I changed the red arms to white to match the style of the new clones once more.
Could I sell the troopers as custom figures?
If not, could I simply say I have some things changed? (I can add the arms and
hips back but can't get the head)
Does anyone know?
Image of the current Courscant Guards Provided.
Also if anyone would like to buy these and many more, message me 😏
Thanks,
- SB

Yes, you can sell them as custom listings as long as all of the parts you used
to customize them are genuine Lego parts.
No, you cannot sell them under the entries for the actual Coruscant Troopers.
To do that, they must have all of the parts in the correct colors that are listed
in the inventories for the figures.

Thank you. One last question if I may: Does it have to be the EXACT same mold?
For another mini-figure, I have the legs, just not the original 2009 black legs.
They are both plane black legs but not the EXACT same mold. Is this okay?
Also if I sell a modified official LEGO vehicle as a custom Item (I modified
it and sold the extra pieces). Is this acceptable too?
Thanks,

No, it doesn't have to be the exact original parts. That would a little extreme
considering Lego parts are usually mixed together by people who use them. Many
sellers sell figures and sets that are compiled from bulk lots.
The rules for custom listings are here: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=103

You can buy the heads from another seller and use them to complete the minifigures.
Would probably be worth it for these.

Yes, but there isn't a guarantee I'll even make the sale. I'll list
them as if and if not buy the heads. Thanks.
