How do you pay a seller if you do not have a Paypal account? I don't have
one and my proposed purchase is in the UK as I am.

You need to find a seller in the UK who accepts other payment methods, for example
IBAN.
You can select payment method on the item page after clicking 'more options'
and change 'All methods' to whatever you want.

I don't think you can filter on payment method in the wanted list, so this
has to done for each piece.

PayPal generally accepts guest payments via a plastic card. I'm not
sure what BL's position is about accepting those.

If you want to buy from the USA, you are going to eventually need a paypal account.
That's what 99% of us use here.

If this is a one time thing, don't bother, but if you think you'll be
using American sellers a lot. Just set one up.

Also, please note how expensive our shipping is. I'd say 99% of my UK buyers
cancel due to shipping costs.

You can also pay by using Stripe's credit (and some debit) card method, if
the seller has it enabled.
As a seller I've abandoned PayPal completely and switched to IBAN and Stripe's
card method, mainly because of the transaction costs and poor service to justify
them.

You get a PayPal account. Most UK sellers accept PayPal. Although some accept
bank transfer, it is hard to search for thus, especially for larger parts orders.
