| Many years ago I publicly asked for help for the first time in my life. The
day after I paid off a large hospital bill for myself two accidents happened.
One to each of my dogs, Buddy and Chewie. I started a sale in my store and
asked you all for help. The BL community quickly stepped up to the plate and
within 48 hours we were able to get both the surgeries the boys needed. You
BL community saved their lives and I have a forever debt to this community.
Sadly, yesterday Buddy passed away. He is the black and white on in my profile
picture.
I wish I could find that original post but it appears to have been deleted for
some reason.
Thanks again for letting me have him in my life this long. He was my friend
and companion for the last 13 years.

don’t know why, but the thoughts the recollection evoked were strong enough to

It’s cruel irony that man’s best friend and companion in life, has a lifespan
so much shorter than ours. Always seemed so, anyway. Try to dwell only on the
wonderful life you were able to give Buddy.

Thank you. Sorry I didn't see your reply I would have let you know. I am
also just grateful to Buddy's strength. He was diagnosed with cancer almost
7 years ago and I was told he only have 6 months to 2 years at the most. He
didn't die of cancer; he died of old age.

Thank you. Sorry I didn't see your reply I would have let you know. I am

Sorry for your loss.
Death of a loved one human or not is painful, but death is an important part
of life. Death is what gives life meaning. That our days here are counted, so
lets not count them and enjoy them.
The best thing to do for your dear Buddy is honor his memory and continue to
live your life.
I wasn't part of the Bricklink community at the time you requested aid but
if I was, I would have helped. Nothing ever is worth doing, but what we do for
others.

I am sorry for you Jennifer. Loses like this are so hard to deal with when a
pet gives us so much joy and love and then is no longer there. I have never
gotten over the three cats I have lost over the years. It is a hole in the
heart that is never filled. Perhaps that is good, the memories and joy and love
will never be forgotten.

had to say goodbye to our Zip, who gave us love and friendship for 17 years.
We were really lucky to have had her in our lives as you are to have had Buddy
in yours.
Give Chewie an extra big hug. He's probably missing Buddy too.

of the dog warriors" If you haven't seen it, check it out.
We (my son, daughter and I) are all dog-lovers, without ever having a dog of
our own, as my son suffers from that allergy.
