Can Porg Head 20952pb02b (Brick, Round 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 2/3 Dome Top with Porg
Head, High Raised Feathers between Eyes Pattern) be added to set 75192 UCS Millennium
Falcon as an alternate part? This would also necessitate a change to the catalog
listing for porg01 (Porg, Star Wars with Black Wings and Tail - Brick Built)
because porg01 (from set 75192) could come with either part 20952pb02a or part
20952pb02b, depending on which version was received.

I’m not sure what sort of evidence is necessary for this request, but it has
recently become clear to me that both head print variants can come from 75192.
Here is the evidence I have available at this time:

1. I’ve created a thread on the /r/legostarwars subreddit soliciting pictures
of Porgs that people have received from set 75192. Both 20952pb02a and 20952pb02b
have been shown to be received by set owners.

2. I’ve also had significant problems buying porg01 with the 20952pb02a type
head because sellers don’t realize that the Bricklink listing specifically lists
the 20952pb02a head, but have personally received the 20952pb02b head out of
their UCS sets. Sellers have insisted the porg01 with 20952pb02b head is a valid
combination, even though it’s not currently recognized by Bricklink. It’s not
currently possible to guarantee that I can purchase porg01 with the correct head
print variant, and there’s a significant price difference between the parts.

3. Bricklink’s own catalog listing for porg01 includes only an image of a Porg
with the 20952pb02b head, despite not being an official variant.

Thanks for your consideration.

Done.

This would also necessitate a change to the catalog
listing for porg01 (Porg, Star Wars with Black Wings and Tail - Brick Built)

Yes we need a new catalog entry for Porg01 with the new porg head.

In this case I think the existing porg01 entry should be replaced by two new
distinct entries.

  3. Bricklink’s own catalog listing for porg01 includes only an image of a Porg
with the 20952pb02b head, despite not being an official variant.

Really? I think the most obvious difference between type a and b is that type
a has gray circles around the eyes which are missing on type b. And I can see
the gray circles on the catalog image:

Part No: porg01 Name: Porg, Star Wars with Black Wings and Tail - Brick Built (Undetermined Type)
*
porg01 Porg, Star Wars with Black Wings and Tail - Brick Built (Undetermined Type)
Parts: Animal, Air
Marked for Deletion

The orange and white print seems to vary a lot, probably because it is still
difficult for LEGO to print on rounded surfaces. See also the image which I added
here:

To move forward with this issue, could you provide an image showing porg01 with
the new head variant?

I don’t use the Forums much, so I’m not sure the best way to provide pictures.
Here’s an Imgur album with pictures of porg01a, porg01b, and a comparison image:

Let me know if there’s a better way to provide pictures. I’m not sure I have
the ability to provide anything better than this.

If you see the variants side-by-side, it’s easy to see the smaller differences
like the eyes that you previously mentioned, but the most prominent difference
is on the brow between the eyes. The ‘a’ variant has a deep v-shape. The ‘b’
variant has a higher raised feather print on the brow.

Thanks for your quick help with this!

Thanks for the pics!
(Have post-processed them a bit, hope you don't mind. )

The new entries should be ready soon.

This request has been completed. We now have two distinct entries for the Porgs
and sellers can move their items to the correct entries.

Part No: Porg01a Name: Porg, Star Wars with Black Wings and Tail, V-Shaped between Eyes - Brick Built
*
porg01a (Inv) Porg, Star Wars with Black Wings and Tail, V-Shaped between Eyes - Brick Built
Parts: Animal, Air

Part No: Porg01b Name: Porg, Star Wars with Black Wings and Tail, High Raised Feathers between Eyes - Brick Built
*
porg01b (Inv) Porg, Star Wars with Black Wings and Tail, High Raised Feathers between Eyes - Brick Built
Parts: Animal, Air
