So far I only encountered part 53451 made out of a softer material that easily
gets nicks and marks.
Recently I got hands on a part with the same mold but made out of standard Lego
piece plastic.
Obviously, no brand imprint or part number are present on the piece.
So my question is if anyone can confirm or deny that my part is an actual Lego
piece.
Thanks

I checked my parts of this item and all of them (being elder) are hard normal
LEGO-material.
Probably someone parts out a never set to confirm you finding a softer material.

More than one have try to ad part made of this material to the catalog.
I known of 93786 the rubber version of

Part No: 87747 Name: Barb / Claw / Horn / Tooth - Medium
*
87747 Barb / Claw / Horn / Tooth - Medium
Parts: Animal, Body Part
and now

Part No: 53451 Name: Barb / Claw / Horn / Tooth - Small
*
53451 Barb / Claw / Horn / Tooth - Small
Parts: Animal, Body Part
Its a Flexible Rubber like material like the

Part No: 93787 Name: Minifigure, Weapon Spiked Flail / Mace - Flexible Rubber
*
93787 Minifigure, Weapon Spiked Flail / Mace - Flexible Rubber
Parts: Minifigure, Weapon
And if you can read the mold number, it probably have a "B" in it (Made in China).

The original ones from the Vikings theme were made of hard ABS like all other
LEGO parts. They were changed to the softer plastic shortly after.

Cheers,
Randy
